"High Hopes" is a song by Pink Floyd from their 1994 album "Division Bell". The song is composed by David Gilmour with lyrics by him and Polly Samson, a novelist, lyricist, journalist and David's wife. It was the first song written for the album and yet the last one finished.
The lyrics of "High Hopes" spawned titles for two Pink Floyd albums: "Division Bell" itself ("the ringing of the division bell had begun") and the final album, "The Endless River" ("the endless river, forever and ever"). Gilmour that naming the album 'The Endless River' after the line suggested, "some sort of continuum" connecting the two records, since they both came from the same sessions.
And the same time, the "forever and ever line" refers to the band's early song "See Emily Play" ("float on a river, forever and ever"). This is pink-floydy as hell.

Взагалі-то я збираюся спочатку закінчити альбом "Dark Side Of The Moon", а вже потім робити інші пісні Pink Floyd. Але, мабуть, можна зробити виняток, якщо вже таке прохання:) Я подивлюсь днями на "Poles Apart", подумаю.

Just a little suggestion, as we all have our bass in hands and playing along with you you might want to turn down your bass a bit.
I just hear your bass as its 3x louder than the song.

sorry for the kinda ignorant question, but what to do when it appears (8)? What should I play?
You play nothing. () is how they mark a tie in tablatures. This means that the note is tied to the previous one; notice how the (8) always comes after the regular 8. You don't hit the string again and just let the previous note (regular 8) linger on for the extra duration of the (8). I hope this makes sense:) For more info, you can look here:
