yup I agree. There is a little bit of that with things like Mansions of Madness, and Forgotten Waters which use apps with lots of music and narration. I love that all of these VCR clips are on youtube so I can still play all of those games though!

Same here, it was so convoluted. Me and my friends weren't even really sure how you won & just watched the show. Surprisingly it really holds up today lol. It's very well written, acted & just overly charming. That plays well in any era
Such an awesome cast and great writing. Hard to imagine any of the characters killing each other. It's such a shame that this existed so long before the "everything is a streaming show" era. I would 100% watch more of these. The Clue movie was great as well, though I kind of prefer the extra characters and back stories of the VHS game. Someone needs to pitch a Clue series.

The success of the first video prompted Parker Brothers to up the production values on the sequel, and the script (by Hy Conrad, who went on to write -- amongst other things -- the TV series Monk) was tailored more to each of us.
I bought the Clue 2 game on eBay just to convert the video because I never knew it even existed until recently, and then promptly resold it, so I don't have the cards. 😐

I watched/played this a few times in the late 80's, never could follow and always made me sleepy. Scarlet is lovely though.
