The best 15 minutes that can be spent. Thank you Fr. Kirby for your sacrifice for the Faith. It is medicine to the soul to be fed with sound teaching. Like it used to be. +T+
"You do You Boo"- Fr. Kirby 😊 You are the greatest spiritual leader I've had the pleasure of learning from. May God continue to Bless you as YOUR VOICE is soooo very neccessary. I ❤ that folks around the globe can hear your voice online. Those of us who sit in the pews of your parish are BLESSED beyond measure. Its humbling. 🙏
Thank you so much Father Jeffrey Kirby. God bless you. Thank you for saying YES to the Priesthood. I have two deadly sins ( I have many sings but those two deadly sins are the ones that break my heart because now I am aware of the pure evil I did, when I did it I thought that is was just part of life. I did not think twice before doing it. Thanks be to God that now I know is evil what I did. I asked for forgiveness and went to confession ). There are something in my life that happened that I truly thing they happened for a reason. I was partially blind, spiritually speaking. I have been Catholic my whole life. I did not grow up in a Catholic family. I grew up in a godless home. My mom never took us to church. I decided to be baptized Catholic as a four year old girl. I did my Confirmation in 1992 as a teenager but I was very, very poorly Catechist. Thank God that now I do know the truth. Deo gratias. Thank you Saint Paul Center for having Father Kirby. Greetings from DC.
When our awareness becomes that of the supernatural we find that we are more than of the natural world, we are a living Spirit with God that will exist unto eternal life.
I really needed to hear that. I know that we are called to die to ourselves. I've heard that we must have no attachments in this world. I no longer care about material wealth or hedonism or any possessions. But sadly there's one attachment I do have: my dog. He's a senior dog so his time is coming to an end soon but I can't bear the thought of losing him. I'm in my 60s I am disabled single and alone without friends and family. Losing my beloved dog means losing the only worldly thing that I love. Please pray for me.
As my friend said goodbye to his wife today, and I said goodbye to her as a friend, so you too will have to say goodbye to your friend. And God will give you the strength to do that. And afterwards God will continue to take care of you. Trust Him.
As the good father says, we walk by faith.❤🙏🏻 Like many of us, I'm living alone at 66, but far from being unhappy. It's bc of my service to the Lord thru the Lord's Flock Catholic Charismatic community. Pls find a Catholic community that will make you feel worthy however small our service to the Lord is, that is, if you really have the desire, God will find a way for you.🙏🏻💖😇
God blessed us through so many relationships throughout our lives, including those forged with our pet companions. It isn’t good that man should be alone. Loneliness is such a painful experience, which is why maximum punishment below execution is solitary confinement. My heart is breaking for you to feel so fearful of what life holds, devoid of the love and devotion of your beloved dog. The pain of loss is so very profound. Christ in the garden of Gethsemane sweat blood. But he was comforted, and I pray for God’s grace to comfort you. I pray that there is someone he has in mind to play a role in comforting you and for this to help you to be closer to God in his agony in the garden as well as his solitude in his imprisonment. Prayers answered blessing to you.
@@anitra7747 your comment demonstrates why social media is also a force for good. Bless you for taking the time to give this gentleman some comfort, I hope he reads it . And God bless you.
Of course you do so do we all. As Chesterton said ' Christianity hasn't been tried and found wanting it's been found difficult and left untried.' The very fact that we struggle is a sign we are trying. God bless.
Nice!!! Agreed,,,, seems completely opposite of Humanae Vitae though.... After reading "Abandonment to Divine Providence" 3 times, and then looking at Pope St. Paul VI encyclical, they can not be reconciled. Yet there is a supposed letter from St.Pio (where is the original?) giving complete assent to the document only 2 weeks before St. Pio's death and unheard of until right before Paul VI canonization.
The lamp of the body is the eye... Everything you see with your eyes will enter your heart. If you want God in your life, if you desire to live in righteousness and truth and choose to do good and serve the Lord, you will have Godly eyes and will have a good heart. If you have good eyes of love and mercy to see the needs of the the poor, if you care for the sick, for the hungry, for the lonely, if you pardon and pray for sinners and see their need for God for the forgiveness of their sins, and for their conversion and salvation, if you seek only what's good for your neighbor, then your body will be filled with light and of the Holy spirit. But if your eyes are bad, evil will enter your heart. If you have adulterous eyes you'll commit adultery either with your heart or with your whole body. If you have greedy eyes you could become a thief. If you love evil, you will have no fear of God. And the devil will always give you strength to do evil things against God and against your neighbors. Also if you love evil, if you despise the poor, and the hungry, and disrespect the elderly, your heart will be filled with hatred and bitterness. If you don't want God in your life your body will be in great darkness because no one will stop you from sinning. Only God can set you free from being a slave of sin. Those who love evil and choose to live in darkness and sin are enemies of God and are the devil's servants. But those who trust in the Lord will never be put to shame. Those who choose to serve the Lord are children of light because they do what is right and just.
I myself like transparency no matter any dopey people that get involved in our saintly lives. We are the Body of Christ - we need to talk with each other. I would never disable comments no matter what the seemingly good reason is! It's selfish. It gives a particular impression to many... Some may get the impression that Fr. Kirby is closed-minded or a even a dictator. Fr. may feel that it may get completely so messy and thereby detract from the perfection of his (undebatable) message that everyone ought to listen carefully to without question or comment. We hear you, Father. But it feels like to many that Father doesn't need anybody or their good voice, either sticking up for him or adding other good points or vital information! We are inferior, I guess, or not needed whatsoever. "Bad" comments can be argued with superbly informative comments from others (defenders of the truth, teachings of the Church, and of Father's body of convincing content). Btw, I am devout, orthodox, conservative, traditional, and am degreed in Theology. You may say that I'm incorrect - yes, it's your choice and your TH-cam video - but I feel blocked and canceled just like the Leftist Corporate Propaganda Machine does to Christians and the Right.
Hi, if comments are disabled for you, you will have to contact TH-cam because we have not disabled them and are still receiving comments. Hope this helps, God bless!
God doesn't permit bad things to happen SO greater goods can come from them. Bad things happen, because we're fallen creatures in a fallen world and must live with consequences of the fall. AND in God's greatness, He is able to bring greater good out of them - not that we must always see or experience that here on earth, because at the end of the day, God Himself is THE good which we will receive in the beatific vision, for the greatest sufferings on earth cannot compare with the glory that is to come.
So you don't think God could stop the bad things from happening? Anything is possible with God since He created everything. If He can stop them, but doesn't, then He is allowing them. He didn't say God caused them. There is a big difference.
By “permitting” he means God allows it to happen, He is not stopping it from happening . Permitting it means the situation you are getting in , is giving you the opportunity to deal with it in a way which makes you grow spiritually. That is the good which happens.
@@bethmcmullan7686 You said God chose the consequences, therefore He permits bad things to happen ... but God cannot commit evil. So which consequences are you referring to? And why does that necessarily lead Him to permitting bad things?
God Loves us and knows all things. Even where we will dwell eternally. I cant wrap my mind around the reality the God Loves us and Knows those who will end up in hell, yet allows them to be created. 'Created for eternal torment'??? No He doesn't create us for that purpose, but yet knows who will end in hell where the body and soul will be tortured day and night by the devil and his minions. How is that love??? Yes it is our choice! But yet "No one can say that Jesus is Lord, Except by the Holy Spirit". Then too, "There are vessels fitted (created) for honor and vessels fitted for destruction!" God is the one who gives each person the amount of Grace they have. God is the one who allows His Spirit to inspire people to say, "That Jesus is Lord"! Can we even cooperate with Grace without being moved by God??? I doubt it. Yet we can do nothing without Jesus! As St Paul says ; "Who will save me from this body of death"
