The Mazda concept car looks great!
And from my knowledge, the BYD Yangwang U8 is not a concept car, and it's already on sale in China having 30k orders already. And the slower tank turn is better meaning higher precision and controllability than the ones we see in Mercedes and other firms.
BYD is not only big in China. Read about it. You need to work with them. They are amazing.

My 2019 model 3 has 142,000 miles on it and fully charged I have 285 miles when it had 310 original. It's a DM LR. Also, you never get what is on the display, that's like trying to drive a gas car and meeting its stated city and hwy miles per gallon, nearly impossible. But I couldn't be happier with my car. But I will be upgrading for more size since the family has grown by two more members since I bought it.

Chinese company NIO already has the swap battery service, it can be done in 5 mins. Mitsubishi is just following up the concept. Since US charges 25% tariff to the Chinese EVs, plus no any tax credits, that's why NIO cars don't exist in the US. Tesla has to launch their new designs in China in order to compete with Chinese EVs, and won't sell the Cybertruck in China, because all pickups are considered as agricultural vehicles in China, and they cannot be driven inside of the cities.

Going to disagree with you Dan on the Nissan "supercar"....I don't like the look at all....and for sure still pushing the GT-R or Z platform look....time for something new...and maybe it would have made more sense with an explanation? The wheelchair stuff, very cool! As someone who recently needed one during recovery of a broken leg....I of course couldn't get in/out of my own 2001 Chrysler Sebring Convertible...and only now, 18 months later, can I get in/out of the car safely. Nice that Mazda is thinking about those in a wheelchair.

Question for you Dan; Is there a vehicle out there that wpuld work for people that are severely sight impaired? I am lrgally blind and it would be nice if someone would make a vehicle that first I dcould afford and be able to use. I think the 2014 Bently would work but I don't have the million dollars plus to get it. Just asking . Keep Smiling :)

Very different Auto show compared to the rest of the world. EV’s are frowned upon by Japanese automakers and a lot of “concept cars’ that don’t make it to production. Japan is a great country however when it comes to the growing EV auto industry it doesn’t look good.
Japanese concept cars are normally around 10-20 years ahead of time, while the actual cars they put out are normally around 10-20 years behind their competitors, in terms of design (both interior and exterior) and technology advancement. Just compares their 2000 and 2020 cars, you won’t able to find much improvements and still very outdated and plasticly interior design. Glad that they realized the need of moving forward and playing catch up games now.
My American friend forgets that Japan imports power from near by countries and electricity is expensive there. So EV is not so attractive

I don't know if Nissan is doing good. Their CVT ongoing and never ending issues was what pulled me away from Nissan and went with an Acura. I believe Honda and Toyota have a better product than Nissan
