We've just traded form our Carthago - admitted a smaller A Class model than yours, for pretty much same reasons. Great build quality, but poor ground clearance and just a bit too dark and fussy inside. We also went for a MLt 580 but the 4x4 model. Certainly has sorted the ground clearance issue and has a much more contemporary interior feel. My next mod is going to be your water pump upgrade.
With the water pump mod I’d put the water pump switch inside and not in the garage. Then it’s much easier to access as it’s not a bad idea to turn it off while not in use. Getting into the garage is not so convenient especially if it’s loaded.
I collected it from Portsmouth this Friday afternoon - It's really lovely to drive and doesn't feel anything like as big on the road but I got to Shrewsbury and made a school boy error by filling it up with petrol. All good now though thanks.

So...how's it going with the Hymer?
