Not correct, a rapid test is not defined as something that give results in 24 hours! it is defined as something that is faster than the reference method, so in most of the world the ISO method or the AOAC method that takes 72 hours for negative result. With Rapid Salmonella and normally most samples would be negative, so Rapid Salmonella is a true rapid method that will give you negative results within 48 hours, which is at 1least day faster than the ISO method. Yes, there are methods like our iQ-Check Salmonella kit that will give you result in 12-16 hours for Salmonella, but this demands RT-Real-time equipment, which for smaller companies is not affordable.
