Stafford College - Demolition and Asbestos Removal Project

Connell Brothers Ltd return to Stafford College!
Following on from their successful demolition project back in 2011, 9 years on, Connell Brothers Ltd were pleased to be invited back to Stafford College to carry out the demolition phase of their ambitious £21m masterplan to transform further education at the College and bring much of the campus under one roof.
Connell Brothers were appointed as the Principal Contractor by the College to carry out the extensive Asbestos Removal works and the Demolition of 4 buildings over an 8-month period.
The college campus is located in the heart of Stafford town centre. One of the key challenges the Connell Brothers team faced was the restricted boundaries around the demolition zone. The demolition site was closely bounded on all sides, to the North and West was Broad Street and Earl Street, busy arterial routes in and out of the town centre, and to the South and East was the existing live College campus and the Bridgewood House Hotel.
Boundary noise and dust monitoring was carried out throughout the works to ensure minimal impact on the live College and surrounding businesses.
