Thanks for sharing. I really appreciate your work and follow you on LinkedIn. I am also a real estate photographer and use several different techniques. Keep up the good work!
I think you CAN use a Z8.... and if it were my only camera, I might. But its way overkill... and a Z6 works just fine for R/E. I use a Z7ii for my commercial stuff, and I only upgraded from Z6 to a Z6ii so the menus and operations were more similar and I could switch back and forth easier... Righgt now Im using Z8 for sports, aircraft and landscape.... things I need hi res, poi=xel shift and super fast shutter speeds for.
@@Dave_Koch makes sense. I don't disagree at all that the Z6ii is a great RE camera. Was just curious as to what assignments you felt warranted the Z8. 🙂
@@mikestewart4733 I love the whole line. I was thinking more about this.... and maybe just part of it is the 6 is in a hard shell case all set up for r/e with the two AD 200s, the AD100, and all that. The 7 Is in a case with t/s lenses, and cam ranger.... so the cases are all set up for each job. I dunno..... its just what works. for me! :)
This will get you going.... the mount/magnet system for AD200, a magmd "sphere" and an eggcrate.... www.amazon.com/dp/B09TXX7GWQ/ref=nosim?tag=remedia03-20
Best takeaway: Why fix it in 5 minutes on site, when you can fix it in 20 with Photoshop? 😆 Also, why do you say not to use the Z8 for REP? (As someone who is about to switch to his Z8 for REP.) 🤔
As someone who has used Z8, Z6iii, Canon R6ii, Sony A7iv, A7iii and Fuji XT-2 … for real estate shoots already, I’d say 24 MP is already more than what what’s required for real estate. You can shoot with a 12 MP camera or even 6 MP if you’re delivering for MLS and prints up your 8.5”x11”! You can print a good 24”x36” poster from 12 MP (that’s more than 100 ppi)! I’ve worked in printing as well! Resolution requirements have to do with viewing distance. 24 MP printed on 24”x36” poster gives you 166 ppi which is very good. Real estate photos are shown on web and the prints are no bigger than a brochure. Don’t waste your money! Just buy a basic camera with good dynamic range. A used Z5 and Z7 if you’re not shooting events and video! You get Z8 resolution at a bargain price! Btw, your computer storage fill up way after with more mega pixels you don’t need! 🤷♂️
Really inspiring. Thank you!
Thanks, Dave!
Hi Dave, do you mind providing link for the base that you use on the AD200 thanks con
You’re awesome! My kinda people. Keep up the great vids, I’ll watch em all.
Loving your insight. Making it a point to drink coffee while I watch.

Very much looking forward to the next 9 videos! What type of work are you using the Z8 for if the Z6ii is enoug for RE?
