This has a lot to improve. 4:15 no need to remove sticker, just put tape on lower opening below "REQUIRED FOR SETUP". 5:50 no need to drill or plug, just use glue gun. 7:29 no need to cut like art - risk to tear tubbing, just cut straight down and use glue to attach clip from bread bag. Also much better to attach ink tube near bottom, not at height. CISS tank at 14:51 looks like big problem to refill... 18:18 BAD idea - you cant watch ink level and will destroy ink inlet if you repeat this over time. Just make another hole above the ciss one. 27:00 much better to place tank to left than to right, can lead the tubbing into the tray slit on left. Pause at 30:50 you have problem with this ciss... needs too much pressure to pull... Also install ink dampers, so ink doesnt travel back into tank.
It's perfect, you are great, you watch the video very carefully, and give comments and explanations to those who watch the video, one more comment for reference.
Any small step may affect the ink supply.

8630 was working fine. My magenta ran out. Replaced cartridge and immediately started getting printer failure error. Replaced magenta cartridge again and at least now the printer is allowing me to navigate to tools options. Printer is insisting magenta cartridge is damaged and when I view ink levels, printer says magenta cartridge is empty.
Hello, have you refilled the hp 712 cartridge, it would be interesting to see the process of refilling or installing the non-stop ink supply system on the hp desingerjet t230
So do you have to keep sucking the ink through to the cartridge every time after the cartridge is empty again? or does the printer keep it flowing on its own?
the hp950 has two airpaths, which are seen when he pulls away the sticker. The one that comes from side to upper middle is air for airbag inside, this is for cleaning and air is automatically pushed back by spring inside cartridge. The other comes from middle of cartridge and goes to lower end - this one leads air into ink chamber after lack of ink creates negative pressure. There is a tiny ball inside that opens up to lead air in. Only this one needs to be closed for CISS, then negative pressure will suck ink from tube. But he misses dampers between CISS and cartridges, dampers are one-way valve, they prevent ink from flowing back into CISS tank for example during cold nights.
Keep getting message "your printer is offline". I use a linksys router and have to toggle between internet connect and the linksys router for printing. How do I get my computer and hp officejet pro 8620 to communicate?
Do you need any firmware tweaks to make this work? What is the lifespan of a cartridge?

But the chip on the cartridge will "count" the ink and when its "empty" refuse to print. Surely this means its an IISS (Intermittent Ink Supply System) vs CISS (Continuous Ink Supply System) as you have to keep removing the cartridges and then sourcing the chips to replace which end up costing more in money and hassle than getting carts refilled at Costco? Or do you supply a couple of hundred chips with your kit?
Before Modify to CISS, remove the # 1 ink cartridge that has no ink level and insert # 2 ink cartridge with ink level;
Use # 1 ink cartridge to modify, after installation, will not have your problem

1. Remove the original label, you will find a groove, into the ink cartridge Vent, more information, see US Patent Document US009056479, (www.uspto.gov); use new label to close the vent.
2. HP 950/951 setup cartridge, in the top of the ink cartridge is empty.

Always be aware this ink is water based and I had a leak in a different system years ago and it got on my carpet in my home office. The worst thing you can do is what I did using a industrial carpet cleaning machine. It used water with cleaner and spread the ink colour further throughout the carpet. The carpet naturally wicked the water with the ink color in all directions. I had to remove and clean the floor then replace with new carpet.
HP had these types of systems for years on their professional plotters. Why they don't offer this as an option on business printers can only be profit on ink cost.
External ink is put too high, causing the external ink to flow to the nozzle, in the drain to the outside, dripping into your carpet,

So my question is this. If the kit is $1,200 and you almost used all your black, how long does this refill kit last and is it worth the time expense you put into this. I admire the ingenuity of your resourcefulness and skill but the cartridge is $96 as opposed to $1,200 for the kit. I'm weighing the costs. Can you comment?

+Dianne Bennett hi i just looked at the website and its $1,200 in Taiwan dollars not usd so if you look in the near to top left it will show you the currency. i hope i helped. most of the stuff is actually $40 usd
+Dianne Bennett - you can re -prime the ink as many times as is needed, using the syringes, to the top of the ink bottles. buy the ink in commercial size bottles.

Each color inside the nozzle has an ink level sensor chamber. The ink is out of the chamber. You must fill the ink to the chamber, printer will be continue to printing.
If you can not handle it, you can purchase the subsidiary chip or purchase the original ink cartridge. The ink cartridge of the factory can make up the problem by filling the ink in the ink level sensor chamber.
Modify ink cartridge can be use any.
Why is that none of the companies in this industry seem to understand that priming is about removing air from the system/cartridge. This video doesn't even show the exit ports being held at the highest position to remove the most air possible during the process.

You need to troubleshoot the sensor
The ways are:
1. Sensor chamber manually replenishes ink
2. Replace the decoder chip
3. Purchase original ink cartridges with ink level, which will be automatically added.
If only HP ink cartridges were not so damn expensive you would not have to do all these hacks...
There are printer models with CISS from factory. But they are never as cheap as custom CISS. But this CISS needs you to know your printer model well.
I do not have the art or patience to do this, by any chance you sell it a ready done or know where I can buy it ready to set
Yes, buy original HP for 100x more money - fast and no problem.
Looks like more work than, it's worth. You gotta buy all of these tools and then a refill kit plus ink. Guys look for promo codes like I do. Or just buy a new printer when the ink expires, almost the same price when you think about it.

la impresora tiene sistema de tinta y los cartuchos que se recargan dejaron de funcionar la impresora pide cambiar los cartuchos por que están vacíos . cambie el cartucho magenta que inicialmente es el que presento la falla pero una vez realice el cambio dejo de funcionar el color azul y pienso que si cambio el azul va a dejar de funcionar otro de los cartuchos, pienso que es un problema con el chip del cartucho pero la verdad es que no se mucho del tema agradezco me ayudes por favor !!!

At the programming 42 on controller 34 initiates a series of pressure/vent cycles for the Printhead Assembly priming operation by starting pump 36 to inflate bag 62, pressurizing container ink reservoir 60 and pushing ink into fill chamber 68. The higher pressure in fill chamber 68 opens ball valve 82 to allow air and ink from holding area 76 to enter a return chamber 84. Then, at pump 36 is stopped and bag 62 is vented to the atmosphere to pull froth 77 out of chamber 68 into ink reservoir 60. The lower pressure in fill chamber 68 closes ball valve 82 and opens an umbrella valve 86 to allow air in return chamber 84 to move into fill chamber 68 where it can be removed to container ink reservoir 60. The pressure/vent cycle is repeated at block 816 until ink level sensors 78, 80 signal controller 34 that the ink level 74D is adequate for printing operations.
The ink level inside your printerhead ink chamber is too low and the sensor does not start, because the chip shows the ink level of zero,
Need to insert a set of ink level non-zero ink cartridge replacement, let the printer start, add ink to printerhead ink chamber.
