      Checked out your channel and saw that you where inspired by Cösemen's Snaiad project (and honestly, who weren't), and I can see traces of Barlows Darwin as well. When it comes to inspiration you can hardly do better than that, and I really like the direction you've taken your own project in. I also love the detail and compositions of your illustrations; no mere pale imitation of the great artists mentioned, but true scientific reference-illustrations of an imagined world in their own right.
      Great work!

      Well, actually it's really quite simple and easy. First make a body plan, maybe two or three if you want other species living alongside each other. Then distort the body plan appropriately for the different niches. If two creatures occupy the same niche then either let one go extinct or if you don't want to kill off your darlings you could have one do "niche partitioning" so they don't have to compete with one another. There's a TH-cam series I really like called "Alien Biospheres" that goes into the process of how to make an alien world (link here: th-cam.com/play/PL6xPxnYMQpquNuaEffJzjGjMsr6VktCYl.html ). Don't let the complex designs fool you. With enough knowledge and know-how of speciation, ecologies and evolution and a nice sprinkle of imagination you too could come up with an alien world of your own. Just don't copy Alien Biospheres one to one with the designs, I put imagination in the list of requirements for a reason.
      Edit: had to tweak this comment a bit because the link didn't work

    I'm sure there'll be more videos about Phtanum B, right? Like, there's still the fact that it's only the southern continent that has red flora, while the northern one has green; or the fact that the continents are so neatly divided into north and south is because the equator is basically one giant hipercane called the Stormwall, in which wind speeds reach close to 1000 km/h and flatten geography and tear windwhales to pieces; or how the local fauna uses these hipercane winds to disperse their young in polyp stage and once they anchor themselves in ground, they grow their secondary adult bodies underground; or how windwhales are just the biggest examples of sky-bound fauna that also includes the constantly-afloat skyreefs... and so on, and so on. This is really a fascinating project and I can't wait for more!

      Humanoid aliens are just as believeable under evolution, even if yes quite unimaginative. I really doubt it's completely impossible for something like a vertebrate, tetrapod, mammal, primate, and human to emerge on other worlds. I think more common images of intelligent civilizations would be things moreso resembling mantises and theropods, maybe also molluscs like an Octopus if they come onto land and gain access to fire.

    You know i was recently reading up on artificial intelligence and how hard it is to create a near human level artificial intelligence. One aspect of Artificial intelligence is the ability to simulate events or proteins in order to create new medicines, the problem with AI is that it cant create simulations without input, basically a computer cant simulate how a ball will bounce without teaching it how physics work. This got me thinking about how humans are basically biological strong AIs, we can speculate what 'aliens' would be like on alien worlds relying on nothing but what little information we know about animals on earth and assumptions about how these organisms would evolve on planets with different gravity, atmospheric pressures and atmosphere. These videos remind me of the fact that we are an emerged intelligence who got this far using simulations in our heads long before computers were invented.

    he should do a project on what life on a super habitable planet would be like, a planet better for life than earth.

    • @pokemonfanmario7694
      @pokemonfanmario7694 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Technically, Phtanum B is exactly that.
      Its just that it's better, life giving conditions have made life all the more hostile

    • @Onionman6583
      @Onionman6583 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pokemonfanmario7694 I see were you are coming from, but a planet of two times the mass of earth can bring all sorts of challenges for life. For one the gravity is stronger and can stress out a lot of body functions for multicellular life and for the planet itself, in the video it is said that humans are placed on the planet so it is hinting that the atmosphere is similar to earth for humans to survive(if they are not genetical modified) but in real life we do not know how planets with bigger mass would react with earth like atmosphere .But what I am trying to say is that this planet is about the same to earth when it comes to sustain life not better for life ,But thank you very much for this comment as it was very fun to answer and even helped me kill time!

    • @pokemonfanmario7694
      @pokemonfanmario7694 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Onionman6583 oh wait, Curious archive didnt mention one of the primary attributes of Phtabum B?
      The planets atmosphere has literal lethal to terran life levels of ammonia, everything is saturated with it. Human cities are domed, or have it so each building has an airlock. People literally need an exoskeleton suit just to go on a stroll outside.

    • @Onionman6583
      @Onionman6583 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pokemonfanmario7694 Then we both should ask the question is there really a planet better than because no matter the planet there will always be a negative side for humans or another species,just like how the earth is perfect for humans but could be dangerous to another species so we must ask is the such thing as a super Habitable planet because there will always be a different point of view who will disagree

      Biblaridion on TH-cam has a series called Alien Biospheres that begins the story of life on a cellular level (and then plants). This might be the one you are thinking of.
