Im an American born in California, so I have always been surrounded by mi hermanos Mexicanos. Strangely, I have a very hard time understanding their Spanish even though I hear it almost daily. Pero, I can understand Dominican Spanish speakers way better, though I have never been to a Dominican community or the DR. Thanks for your channel and I am subscribed and have hit the bell! :)

Que goces mucho! You should have a lot of fun! If you happen to be in Cabarete, there's a restaurant called Sky Blue that we loved! I don't know if it's still there or not but we loved it! :D
Great channel, I love the way you guys teach. Very creative, you explain things well and make learning fun and easy. I find the use of the word "pollo" to mean good looking interesting. Colombians have an expression "Quién pidio pollo" which they use to talk about someone good looking. Also, "Fulano/a" and "Si Dios quiere" are expressions you can use anywhere, not just the DR. You guys should think about creating some learning Spanish materials (conversational dialogues, a book, etc.) to market to the learning Spanish community. Lot's of people are interested in Dominican Spanish. Awesome work, you have another subscriber!
Hola Rodney! Thanks for swinging by - you're so awesome and appreciated! And yes, thanks for mentioning that. As normal, every time we put up a video, there are things we wish we would have done - lol! And in this case, I think my intention was to just express how often a few of these may be said. At this moment, I definitely can't speak for how often it may be said in other countries, but it seems like it's said every 3 seconds in the DR. (I'm exaggerating a bit here, but hopefully the gist is understood, lol.) If I still do a bad job explaining myself, or I could have just done a better job in the first place with this video, I can only send apologies and...hopefully, we'll get it together in a future video. Also, thanks for your suggestion! Right now, we're definitely taking everything one day at a time and are still figuring some things out. So, that's definitely something we'll keep in mind as we go forward. :)
