im south east Asian, and grew up on dragon dancing as a kid and its been a few years since Ive seen a performance. Ive always love everything ab dragon dancing, but the music was always something else, and hearing the resemblance in genshin was mesmerizing
Gaming got the best ending he could ever hope for: He got to perform his passion to all of Liyue and finally got his father to acknowledge and respect him.
This was so cool! One of the longest cutscenes I think I've seen yet in Genshin. And this Lantern Rite's story has been so damn sweet and wholesome! You have mommy Xianyun, daddy Zhongli, and now Gaming and his father.
I'm not too familiar with it, but I saw a video of Marco Meatball analyzing the cutscene, and I remember he said he could hear the pattern still a bit, although it's probably much more discreet than in previous years. Could also be a thing to symbolize renewal, like the rise in popularity of wushou dance in Liyue, people moving forward and adopting new things.

I’m Japanese but I love Chinese culture and the awesome Chinese friends I’ve met here before COVID hit and suddenly they were all gone… Chinese people are much more easygoing, funny and don’t take things as seriously as us Japanese do. At least in my experience and I miss their presence a lot. I play Genshin everyday because of my love for Chinese culture and before I started playing seriously, I’ve never experienced a Lantern Rite event. It was surprising to me that although our cultures are different, Gaming’s story resonates a lot with just being an East Asian child in general. At first I just wanted to pull for Cloud Retainer because I love Anemo and support characters and thought maybe she could give my Xiao a little boost :’) I thought that getting at least some Gamings would be nice because his design looked great and he really looks like my husband if he was a kid, so I picked him out of the free characters and lucked out and got his C6 and Xianyun C1. I thought I would hate this event because I didn’t like Cloud Retainer’s first uhh… Appearances in the questlines? Her personality was very different… I feel like they made her a lot more likeable now and it’s always great to see Shenhe being treated well and getting more screen time. Now Xianyun may have taken the spot of my beloved Yae as my comfort character. Both me and my husband cried because of Gaming’s story. I only ever cried for this game when Focalors got executed, even though I am very invested in the story. It was very beautiful. Gaming has gotten the best treatment as a 4 star in my opinion, and I’m fine with that. Although it may hurt my husband’s pride as he loves Dilluc, I much prefer Gaming and am happy to finally have a Pyro claymore character that’s not him lol. I just can’t help but be a little bothered by the disparity between older characters and the new ones in terms of design improvement. It is to be expected but, God, Xianyun and Gaming look so much better than my lovely older favorites, whenever I switch from them to older characters, it feels so unfair lol I’ll even say that Gaming looks more like a 5 star than Dilluc and it’s not my personal vendetta against hearing him constantly when playing coop with my husband but I really feel like Dilluc got the worst possible treatment from Hoyo… He looks like he was the first ever designed character in the game, and that was Ayaka… Why make his face so… simple… and his 5 star shop skin doesn’t help him in that at all… I even joke that Clorinde got the Dilluc treatment because she also looks a bit underwhelming in comparison to characters like Neuvi and Navia… Which is sad because I like Clorinde a lot :’) I hope Hoyo can revamp their older characters in an update, but knowing them, I am aware it’s just wishful thinking. But even Zhongli feels a bit underwhelming nowadays… Pls justice for the older characters!

@@sallyxu6121well certainly he used luminescent dyes, u can see the the suanni kite glowing in the end of the cut scene, but i believe he can control dye to glow at will infusing his pyroenergy 🤔🤔 And dancing on water was due to Xianyun
I haven't played much in the past two years, but for some reason I've been getting back into it, and while I was very late to start this event, I'm so glad I did! Gaming is a great character, and I've loved his story! Getting to spend time with Ganyu, Shenhe, and Xianyun was a treat too, all three of them look drop-dead GORGEOUS! Seeing Zhongli so quick on the uptake was cool as heck too, and Xiao being much friendlier than I remember really tells me I've missed quite a bit. But holy crap, I loved this scene so much. Just breathtaking. Beautiful music, beautiful girls, and a really badass wushou dance! So glad I came back and got to witness this, and I just had to come here to rewatch it right after and show my brother!
F, the watermark ruined it, i just recorded the cinematic but with a litle freeze part because i accidentally tabbed out the game, i want the whole cinematic without watermark 1080p 60fps preferably in spanish but its fine in english, well, preferably without text really, but i completed it on my 2 accs, recorded on 1 and not on the second, and after that i checked it and F a few sec are missing :C
Gaming is such a cool character, should I re download the game, (currently only playing HSR), but I used to play genshin before and stopped when HSR released then dropped genshin only to come back during Neuvilette banner (I got him though) but I honestly dont know how to build genshin characters, as if building HSR characters burnt me out already, genshin feels so huge though
I missed out on the first two Lantern Rites and between this and last year’s (as much as I love Hu Tao in all her weirdness), this year was a thousand times better.

Nah but with so many adepti nearby it must be their doing. Either Cloud Retainer, Mountain Shaper or Moon Carver made it happen. Maybe all 3 of them. Adeptal energy does wonders. There's a particular pond in Chenyu Vale that lets you walk on water just like that. And the Giant Statue depicts a Monkey Yaksha. It's not Xiao but one of his old comrades iirc. Ah what's his name again... Menogias. He was mentioned on few occasions during the story by Cloud Retainer.
