The screaming while he was drawing "depression" killed me. It's so ironic, since depressed people don't have energy to do anything, they're sure as hell are not gonna write all that kanji down.
Foreigner: Those words....! You, just from which did you get to know lots of Japanese!? *flashback to some comedy shows, japanese video games with japanese audios, watching nep league, some reality shows, tousouchuu, anime, manga...* "EVERYTHING!!"
The delivery too is totally different than what you'd get in the Western world. I mean it's still funny, but compared to the kind of stand up comics that become classics in the west like George Carlin, this guy was super energetic.
Japanese people should stay @ Hiragana or Katakana WHY EVEN BOTH and why kanji !?!?!? Did they thought hmm maybe they will go a hell way because of us 🤭
This is funny, but I liked his cameo in the Death Note TV drama, as well. (Although, at first, I did think he was the German guy from the American comedy film, Eurotrip).
I want this bloke to help me speak Japanese, I always speak kinda half Britain (apparently I,am not) but I,am Australian, born in Australia. I always want to moved to japan badly and speak Japanese because I bloody had enough for Australia, Japanese people being nice and polite but in Aussie... umm imagine a bit rude Karen or drunk person come over to you for no reason. I watched anime, Japanese movie/show. I got Xbox game Yakuza 0 & Yakuza like a dragon game, I got learner books. I want this man as my teacher Japanese learning stuff.
Kanji means Chinese characters, and it was invented by , well , the Han Chinese. I guess he has to ask the Chinese instead of asking the Japanese why Kanji is written as such.
@@nihongodaikirai7522 That's interesting, I didn't know that that's what they thought. I mean how could you deny though? Obviously, it is borrowed from Chinese character, only readings and written words are different as there is the Japanese alphabet included too. Onyomi are legit based off Chinese pronunciations, it's okay to admit it
@@nihongodaikirai7522 what nonsense is that? It’s a well established historical fact that Kanji was a gift from the Emperor of China to the Japanese among imports from China including Buddhism. This is taught in all history classes. Onyomi readings use katakana indicating that it’s a foreign reading. So I don’t think anyone actually thinks that Kanji is a Japanese invention.
He's got the inane shouting down to a tee. Sadly, this is the level of Japanese 'comedy' on TV, and is the reason no foreigners I know in Japan ever watch TV. Moronic is an understatement.

@@vert2552 Japanese TV has really been about "reactions" more than the value of the content itself for a long time, hasn't it. Like, probably before that format completely flooded TH-cam. In both cases, to keep holding people's attention the reactions became so fake and exaggerated that you can't help but cringe. They're ahead of the curve even when the thing they're making is utter crap.
@@vert2552 I have a theory that the reason Japanese humor is rooted in over the top reaction and high energy is because as a culture, they are expected to be calm and reserved as a whole. So, seeing someone act out in such a way is comical to them because of how weird it is.
