  • Replacing the DEF tank header on a Freightliner M2. The header is responsible for being the pickup for DEF as well as the tank Level sensor, fluid quality and temp sensor. Please like and subscribe!

    No need to drain coolant, get a pair of hose crimps and there are soft lines right behind the tank in the frame rail area, clamp those and put a pan under the tank when removing the lines like this gentleman and you won't lose much. One less messy step

    I did it following these instructions, and I was successful. Could the little white filter be replaced as a way to solve this problem? Same labor, but it's way less cost. $704.00 for this header.

    My heater control valve on top of the def tank is getting very hot. I have already replaced the header. Will the heater pump cause over temp for the level sensor?

    Is the def sending unit in the same circuit as the deft tank tempature sensor? I have a check engine light saying it can’t read the temp inside the def tank

      Yes. The DEF tank temp, level, and quality sensors are all in the same assembly known as the header

    Is there a link for the replacement header? I need to replace mine and have no idea how to make sure I’m getting the correct part
