No need to drain coolant, get a pair of hose crimps and there are soft lines right behind the tank in the frame rail area, clamp those and put a pan under the tank when removing the lines like this gentleman and you won't lose much. One less messy step
I did it following these instructions, and I was successful. Could the little white filter be replaced as a way to solve this problem? Same labor, but it's way less cost. $704.00 for this header.
So after replacement it should clear code on it on ????
My heater control valve on top of the def tank is getting very hot. I have already replaced the header. Will the heater pump cause over temp for the level sensor?
Is the def sending unit in the same circuit as the deft tank tempature sensor? I have a check engine light saying it can’t read the temp inside the def tank
Yes. The DEF tank temp, level, and quality sensors are all in the same assembly known as the header
Do you have to drain the radiator ?
Is there a link for the replacement header? I need to replace mine and have no idea how to make sure I’m getting the correct part
