Technically its not a Lebaron. HOWEVER, its all K Car underneath which included almost every Chrysler vehicle at that time including the Lebaron. Plus, the body designers from Maserati pretty much made it look like a Lebaron.
From my research it was mostly based on the Daytona which was definitely a K-Car chassis. But I think the Daytona was actually the basis for the LeBaron anyway and it was all based on the k-car chassis. So it's probably all the same stuff anyway.
I did ultimately find the inside trunk release and the tunnel cover release cables. You are like a resident expert on these cars. This car actually drove pretty nice, I gotta admit.
Hi Jason, just saw your video today. We've owned one of these 1991 TC's since 1990, bought it brand new for my wife. She really loves the car since it's so unique and not very common. She gets lots of looks and comment from people asking about the car. I've recently decided to "try" to convert the manual top to power by utilizing the frame from the Lebaron convertible top. That will be my summer project, we just got tired of having to raise and lower the top by hand. Wish me luck.
I would but I sold the car already. I have another several videos on my channel about automotive air conditioning. You probably are out of refrigerant that seems to be the most common problem
Yes it's a conglomeration between Chrysler and Maserati dreamed up by Lee iacocca. There is a devout following for these cars in certain circles but a lot of people can't stand them. I've tried to sell it for a while but no bites and the junkyard won't pay anything for it. It's actually a pretty decent car but it's not my thing. So I'm going to come up with a giveaway with no purchase necessary. Like to see it go to a good home.
As an Amazon associate I earn from qualified purchases... this is a great endoscope!
