The battle of Kursk was the largest battle of tanks that occured in western Soviet Union in the area of Kursk in 1943. Germany launched Operation Citadel to encircle Red Army troops, but was defeated in the ensuing fight.
कुर्स्क की लड़ाई जुलाई 1943 में पश्चिमी रूस में कुर्स्क के सोवियत शहर के आसपास हुई थी, क्योंकि जर्मनी ने स्टेलिनग्राद की लड़ाई में सोवियत लाल सेना द्वारा अपनी विनाशकारी हार के लिए हिटलर की प्रतिक्रिया में ऑपरेशन गढ़ शुरू किया था। द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध के दौरान जर्मनी के लिए पूर्वी मोर्चे पर प्रभुत्व हासिल करने का यह आखिरी मौका था और यह उनका अंतिम ब्लिट्जक्रेग आक्रामक होगा।
भारी टैंकों, तोपखाने और वायु शक्ति का उपयोग करके सोवियत सैनिकों पर बड़े पैमाने पर नियोजित हमले के बावजूद, जर्मन तानाशाह एडॉल्फ हिटलर द्वारा स्थगन ने सोवियत संघ को हमले की तैयारी के लिए पर्याप्त समय दिया। अंततः, जर्मनी की लाल सेना को एक बार और हमेशा के लिए मिटा देने की योजना विफल हो गई, लेकिन इससे पहले कि दोनों पक्षों को भारी हताहतों का सामना करना पड़ा।

Durning this battle Soviet Union lost about 8 lakh soldiers and about 4700 tanks and 670 guns 1400-2000 aircraft In total approximately sovit lost 38 percent of their army where Germany lost about 93000 killed and 800 guns and 700 tanks . It is insane Soviet army can easily absorb such a loses.

Battle of Kursk was one of the most ferocious and deadliest tank battle in Human history and in that war the Soviets got the most damage but still the war lead to victory for the Soviets and it lead the Soviet forces to charge towards Berlin.
