Your other collabs are nice but only drock can match your energy ash and when you two combine it's the best. You two should just start a joint raid channel or something
Exactly my thoughts! Ash has some strong comments in his mind but you can see his professionalism filters them. Drock on the other hand just say it as it is lol.
21:36 I was still in high lvl 40s when Live Arena was released. Now at lvl 81. Since lvl 50 to now, 80% of people I'm matched with are lvl 100. It is broken.
I'm in a similar boat to @DMMDestroyer. Currently lvl 85. I haven't even done 1 live battle yet based on the matching. I refuse to spend time, in a very time consuming game, on a game mode this broken...
Just one counterpoint to it. Would you rather you fight your levels but any rank? As in you're in Bronze but are fighting Gold ranked players? But those players are your level. Because you can't have both. + climbing out of bronze is a matter of doing 10 battles a day anyway as you always get a bot after 3 losses and 1 win gives more points than 3 losses. I started at lvl 80ish when Live Arena came out but I found it 50-50 if I could beat the level 100. People actually have so poorly built champs that it's not even funny. Some actually seemed to intentionally pick badly.
14:12 A competitive draft; Players are given a list of 20 champions; all champions are fully booked, level 60, and ascended/souled. Both players can ban 2 champions from the list, creating a list of 16 champions to choose from. When choosing your champions after filtering the list, you are given 4 gearing options; nuker, support/healer, speed, and debuffer. Each gearing option has a pre-set set of gear. Masteries will be ignored. Rewards; Chickens, XP Barrels, Feasts, Arena currencies; high level gear. You get to do the match up, without any purchasable options or refills, 5 times per day. This gives ALL players access to the same gear, champions, and set-ups; which will get people more interested in building certain champions. It's also inclusive enough to make the match ups interesting; instead of picking 5 champions and 1 of them being banned, you'd have 16 different (but same vs same) opions to choose from. Double nuker teams; double support, quad tanks; etc etc.
You guys completely missed the point. Strategy doesn’t matter at all in a strategy game when you have to spend thousands of dollars ON AVERAGE, to even HAVE the champs that allow you to compete at the highest levels. The amount you can spend in Raid is the only thing that matters. If you are F2P or low spend, you can compete if you are exceedingly lucky, but most likely you are just plain not wealthy enough to compete in Raid, given the current “profit mode” the game is in. This is a rich man’s game and that’s all there is to it.
Whales compete with whales, F2P compete with F2P. There is still strategy within the tiers. Don't try to Compete with krakens and the game is a lot more fun.
yes they need to redo arena groups i been stuck for 9 months now cant get to silver 1 in 3vs 3,, i have 600k bp im going against 1.3 million teams cant beat anyone,, cant get mission done so basically i gave up on arena because its bs
I don't understand how there are so many 1 mil teams in biv/silver 1. I'm at 600 too and can barely fit anyone unless I set one man defenses and intentionally go red
I feel like whenever krakens talk they consistently massively overestimate how much most players care about pvp in general. The majority of players in every clan and cluster I've been in only care about arena enough to do missions, speed farm G4/5, and maybe stay in gold in TTA for the bazaar. They think a normalized pvp mode would be a huge success, I think most people wouldn't do it anymore than the incentives plarium offers would motivate. Maybe 10% of the players I've known care about pvp beyond just making their daily grind easier and/or access to rewards. I'd be curious about the stats, but I strongly suspect that the overwhelming majority of players would just not do arena at all if not for missions/great hall/bazaar
I saw Drock on Hyphonix and thought his name was Truck lol he’s great and I was hoping for more raids stuff. Glad to see him on your channel a couple times now. Hes the best and you are too! Helps me a lot!!
Great chat, guys. Love the direction that you're (hopefully) pushing Plarium into. (BTW: love BOTH of you as CCs!). I think Ash has actually experimented with the solution for the "level playing field". How about this idea: just after a Fusion it's time for "XXXX Season Pass". Minimal cost to enter: silver or whatevers. Then, to start the season (as part of the entry cost), everyone gets 1 Sacred shard, 1 Primal, 1 Void and 1 Ancient ... and that's your set team. Within the season you have to build them, level them up etc ... and yes, Krakens will have the best gear, but an Arena season where luck + strategy could see a mid-level player take out Krakens would be tremendous in terms of building community morale! Each season would be approached with SO much excitement. Oh, and of course at the end of the season the champions you build would be released back into your roster. Thoughts?
The problem with epic only live arena is it STILL will be a kraken fest.. Us FTP players don't have the resources to have +4 epics all with 6 star awakening. The REAL fix is to get matchmaking set so that krakens don't play FTPers. Make it match money for money. THAT will fix it.
Yeah pretty much that would be happen no matter with epic or what rarity it is, kraken still will be the kraken.. The gear intensive, awakening level make a huge gap different between p2p and f2p ftw.. Let say high acc Basher with 350+ speed, also an epic nuker with 350+ cd and so on.. Don't even think a casual f2p player base like mine would be able to compete with those numbers though, not even close lol
the thing with raid is, no matter how much money you spend or how powerful your champions are, there is ALWAYS a 3% fail rate. there is always a 3% chance that your ultra nuke will be resisted and then they counter nuke you and you die. You can never get to 100% and that is frustrating for whales and Krakens. I don't like Arena, I only do it to get more great hall levels, grinding to level 7 to do that Arbiter mission is kinda hard, but I'd do a rare only Arena or hell, uncommon only Arena for April fool's day like that uncommon spider tournament, it was so much fun. If they had a rare only tournament, I would play lots of that.
Idea for LA and CoC... Have LA leagues based on your spending bracket each month + 1 that is for F2P only. Whatever your spending level is on each 28 day cycle that's the league you go into for LA 2.0 for the following 28 day cycle, and it's something that Paylarium already monitors so no special coding required. Even those at the very top would only drop down one spending tier if they don't spend for a month. F2P has it's own league with divisions 1.2.3. OG's would be in division 1 mid term players in 2 and newer accounts in 3. You play each month and if you are in the top whatever number is decided upon from a lower league you swap places with the bottom same amount from the one above you. In league 1 you are fighting for your overall player position and rewards ofc. Same can be designed for the other spending brackets and can be expanded to CoC but based on either clan arena tables, or based upon hydra clash wins so the top clans already face other top clans in the premier league, all the way down to clans that have never won and are in the bottom league.
Great collab!, as a solution id say they could add new tiers like platinum II, III, IV and V, so that the whales can play with eachoher while the low spender/f2p can reach and stay in GOLD
People have for sure spent about or over 1 mil on their account. A lot of the super high tier higg player accounts were shared among players with multiple people Spending as well as people selling the accounts between each other (which means the spent resources are still on the account). So there are accounts that are like 4-5 years old with over 100+ people contributing financially to grow it
over 100 people used one account by buying and selling it continually? did you just make this number up arbitrarily or got some evidence to back this up?
@@michaelhenry8091 I dont know exactly. But I know murderinc and machan would bounce around accounts and have people (and still have people playing thier accounts...well not macchan because he sold it) but that entire clan and high end community would openly do practices like that as well as spend on each others accounts to stay competitive as they had spending requirements. So hard evidance in a court of law...no Anecdotal evidance...yes and it's all over the internet. Example MurderIncs last raid video was a shard pull (which he doesnt do normally for content) and was all shards he gained through play and purchase while he was insactive playing and CC'ing for Diablo 4 that he said was being activly used, played, and maintained by another group of players. Going back to Macchan during the period when he sold his account he explained in videos hopw it was a common practice to recycle accounts between players and sell between players to keep the purchases and to continue adding value into them as opposed to starting a new account. For example it's better to buy someone elses account who has already entered Platnium and has a moajority of all the top arena champs built and available and dropping 50k to buy that account rather than the 200k in shards, energy, and artifiacts and starting fresh. Meaning the account is worth 200k to begin with and the new owner is continubiting on top of that lets say another 50-100k bring the account total to 250-300k in spent value. Then that player when he is done doing his arena pushes and such and flexing will sell to another player and that player will drop another 50-100k into the account bringing it to 300-400k in spent value. It's really no different than the process of buying a house. but this is a game account. I invested X thousands into renivetating, I sell it for a premium, you get the benefits, but then contribute your own work.
IMO somethings that might help in hydra, live arena and just in general is, 1: Don't let players use multiples of the same champion on one team in Hydra, that will mitigate some of the players that do a ton of damage. 2: in live arena, how bout they do better at pairing people against someone that's on the same power overall. I get so tired of going against someone that has 5 mythicals on their live arena team when I don't even have 1. I have no chance of even winning that battle and all I want is a chance to win, that's it but as it is when I go against someone with that kind of team I don't even get past the part of banning, I just exit that battle. Me personally I don't have an issue if someone finds a way around a bosses weakness, that's the strategy of battle. U find ur opponents weakness and exploit it. I don't think any champion or boss should be nerfed or buffed. It's different when ur playing against another player and they make the game a P2W game but then again, Plarium is owned by a company that deals with casino games. I really hope they sell the company to someone that actually knows how to make and run these kinds of games.
Why not just cap the damage?. I don't know the required points for the max chest is, but once a team hits it, that's it doesn't matter how much damage your team does, anything over the say 650m for the top chest doesn't count towards hydra clash. One players does 1b damage, only 650m counts towards hydra clash. Then there wouldn't be any complaints about hydra clash.
Honestly, the biggest problem in with the competitive game modes in Raid are matchmaking. The problem isn’t even just that the matchmaking is bad, it’s that the matchmaking can’t be good. If you are in live Arena and you are level 60 how many other level 60s are in live Arena at that exact moment looking for a match? Do you just not get any matches if no one else around at your level is waiting? There aren’t enough people playing these game modes for a really robust matchmaking system.
You use a soft cap, meaning the point return decreases exponentially once you pass the soft cap. Then you don't have one dude basically outscoring the other 59 players combined.
A game I play - Hero Wars - has brawl events where heroes/titans are maxed across the board. So it becomes a strategy of selecting the best heroes/titans to counter a defense team, and picking the best defense teams.
Great video, as always! Just wanted to say that I enjoy Live Arena (although I don't play it much) as well as Cursed City. Both game modes are welcome additions to me, but Cursed City is the better game mode for small spenders like myself, lol.
Ash: I know you may not be able read all the comments but hopefully you might like at least some part of this idea for clan wars and pass it along. What if they did a pathway-set up? It would work like this. Defense: 1. 6 paths 2. 30 nodes (one for each clan member) 3. Each node has a clan member set a defense. 4. Each node has a different stat bonus 5. 3 levels of fights (first level could be simple things … defense gets +10% attack or def or health etc. second level could have more intriguing nodes like defense has no passives allowed or epics only on offense etc. The third level would be mini boss level team and a boss team with very challenging fight conditions) 6. Each champion can only be used once in a level or tier of fights (Armanz could only be used on one node in tier 1 once in tier two once in tier 3 etc) Have 24 hours to set defense. 36-48 hours for attack On attack: 1. Each move on the board costs 1 energy. Start with 3. Gain 1 energy every 2 hours. 2. You can choose any of the 6 paths to go on. 3. If you win. Your team remains and can continue to use them. If you lose, you can go in with a different team but all the champs you used in the defeat are locked for that war. 4. If there’s an empty node, you get a win. 5. You could change paths between tiers. 6. Only lose An energy once you move (not each time you go in for attack) Win conditions: 1. Take down most nodes 2. If all nodes defeated, have tie breakers such as, fewest deaths overall (you can win but have two champs dead for example.) Have a season lasting a month. Get Put in a bracket with 10 teams each month. Rewards are same for all teams in each bracket. Top 3 teams move up a bracket Middle 4 teams stay Bottom 3 teams move down a bracket. Mix up paths and nodes per season
I do think they need to revamp the match making as well as they need to add a draw versus just win and loose especially after a thirty min match where no one wins but if your the attacker but no actual victory but attacker looses
An idea for CvC - As a clan leader it would be great, if our clan wins the CvC, for the leader to have the ability to reward one team member. It doesn't have to be much: 100 gems, 300 energy, a sacred shard 🙂 But something that the leader could reward to the highest scorer, most improved, etc. Leaders and deputies would be exempt from receiving a reward but this would be a great team builder and incentive for members to participate. Maybe this could be a suggestion that gets passed along to Plarium?
They can add specific rules to clan vs clan. Maybe it's set up as a tower with the clan members placed by their rank and/or success rate in pvp or clan wars itself. And then either a clan can set rules for their tower or each player can set the rules for their specific stage. And to not make it so a player can just set up their fight completely to their advantage maybe there is some kind of currency that you have to spend to add rules and you can get that currency from clan activities
balance idea on the lines of acc vs res change what drock was talking about. They can change increase res by 25% vs maybe reduce inc acc effect by 25% as well. This was there will be strategy for inc res champs.
I am so glad I was one of the 3 viewers that stuck around to the end, that was great! I was cracking up. "Award goes to: *Drum roll* ASH! For his amazing short promo code video! Congratulations! Hopefully the next award doesn't go to a creator that exposes our dirty secrets.."
The best thing that Raid could do for the competitive game in live, Arena is to give up trying to control that part of the game. Implement friendly matches. You would instantly have a dozen groups or people putting together their own tournaments, their own leaderboards, their own rules systems. You would see tournaments that are epic only, or rares only. You would see beginner tournaments where no one can enter if they are above level 40. The only reason that I can think of that, they don’t do that, apart from just not wanting to devote developer time to it, is the potential for gambling. Because you would absolutely instantly see tournaments for money.
Great Video Ash...I think they should have a barebones arena or for CvC...No Blessings, No empowerment. That way even new players can compete...Or a full on crazy mode where you can go into an "arena" and choose your max champs, with max stars, with max blessings, and max empowerment...I think people would love a chance to experiences the whole roster, or just a kraken experience...but the competition will still require strategy and a thought process...
Tournaments; 2v2,3v3,4v4(each player picks 1 champ or 2 in 2v2) ;epics only etc;world cup style round elimination;clash royale style top 50 tournament (5 losses and tournament ends);content creators hosting tournament etc
My clan is mostly competitive against eachother. I'd love it if they added private rooms where we could invite players/clanmates and battle eachother. Kinda similar to what the FPS genre has.
A huge thing is Turn-meter fill based on speed. Of course the fastest goes first but the equation speed with TM should be adjusted. This TM created the frustration of go-1st vs UDK. If TM fills slower essentially you make slow teams faster and all buffs etc wear out and the medium builds get closer to God tier gear
Yo Ash, great show as usual, tx man. Hope I'm not out of line here, but just want to shout out this newish CC: 'Wood Tests Raid: Shadow Legends'. I know you're always encouraging all aspiring CCs out there. I have no dog in this fight, no vested interest, just a 60 yr old fan hoping to see a CC around my age get some love. Peace!
That was the genius of Sintranos is that rares I would have used for food I was now forced to develop since I wouldn’t always have to access to some Lego or epics
What they could do with the live arena is every hour it changes, unlimited the first hour, Epics only the next hour, rares only the next, one hour break then it starts again. This way it going more often and you can choose what level you want to run in.
I play Raid way the hell more hours per day than I'd like to admit, and it seems like Live Arena is just about always closed.. I don't know why it's ever closed. I like your ideas for variety.
I love Raid as a game but all the excessive monetization is killing me. If a new game comes out that gives me the same satisfaction with a more balanced end game and fair monetization im jumping ship.
I’ve been playing watcher of realms and it’s so frustrating that a game thats only a year old treats their players a thousand times better than a game that’s been out for half a decade. Low spend is the new free to play in raid.
Plarium could totally make some money on a Free To Play Arena. You get one free token a day that stacks up to the next rotation...say a week or so. You can buy more tokens with gems, silver or cash. They could even offer tokens in events (sly wink and a gentle elbow nudge). The draw for the F2P Arena would be to see how your champions could play when fully booked and leveled. You'll even get to choose a temporary mastery armor package/preset that's maxed out. No blessing, though. I would say it would be a 3 v 3 fight given the power level and you would build your team similar to Live Arena but with the added 'feature kit' option. Rewards could be a piece of gear, gems, or some other trifle or maybe just bragging rights or a...wait for it....SKILL TOME! The point is to get the player to see how awesome their team can be fully geared and trained; you might be inclined to spend. Heck, Plarium could even offer packages called 'Arena Training Paths' or something...they probably do already. I don't spend time looking at offers. :D
An easy way would be a mode where it's you play the champion you have but the standardisation is towards the gear. So it's about strategy and not just crazy gear and builds
*Ash:* Drock, it's great to see ya. We're all here for your opinion, what do you think of Raid?" *Drock:* Thanks, Ash- *Ash:* But first I wanna talk about Dragon Age! We'll let Drock talk later but ...😅😂
I am a very low spender in the game. I have stepped away from Live Arena as I can't compete with the spenders. I focus on PVE and progressing in areas such as Doom Tower. A champion challenge would be interesting, as long as it is truly standardised and gives people a real chance.
I'd love to see some champ restricted PVP content, I think that would be fun.. "random" restrictions (or maybe static) for arena battles for instance.. like you get a match and then it picks Epic Lizards, or Spirit Skinwalkers and you do the best with what you have.. ungeared, unleveled, whatever.
Raid is a really fun game, you can spend a lot of time playing it, but his strength is also his weakness. For me they should start to do like pay 2 win against pay 2 win, low spender against low spenders (like 20-100$ in the game overall) and a league of free to play
Outside of the top tier clans, there isn't a real balance problem in Hydra Clash. 95%+ of players are just facing other teams at their same level, and sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. The only way to consistently win is to keep improving. Clans with the super-charged trunda teams bubble up the rankings and deserve what they get, IMO. My problem with hydra (clash and otherwise) is how much time and effort it takes to do, rather than the competitive elements. There are much bigger problems, with older competitive areas of the game (notably tag team), which actually prevent advancement in non-PvP areas of the game. I think they could do occasional pure-strategy events. Baking it into the game long-term is probably outside Plarium's best interests, but the overall interest that they generate doing it now and then might really be good for them. Love the idea of different live arena rules - BUT, I'm not sure it could/should be incorporated into the current leaderboard system. I think it makes more sense to create a secondary live arena to be live at the same time, maybe lasting a month (so there's time to fill in the board), and just change the rules every month, kinda like Sintranos/Doom Tower changes. And hey - I'm someone who kinda hates this game. I just happen to be badly addicted.
Yeah. You got tons of money and life is short. You do whatever the hell you want and let others cry a damn river. Can't stand when people complain about how others spend their money when they hardly make enough to feed themselves.
🎉Hey Ash! I was watching that segment where you and Droc were talking about how its absolutely possible for someone to spend over 1M dollars in this game. I feel like as a talent agent and content creator that does alot of work in the Gacha genre, you would probably know this already (im sure you do!) But i watched a SCHOCKING video about monetization and marketing specifically for Gacha games a while ago. Its alot of very basic concepts, that are scaled... well, there is no scale. The entire idea is that anyone should be able to spend any amount of money in perpetuity - limits on spending are bad literally IS the platform/mission statement. Anyway - its mind blowing - but it works. Yeah. 1 million dollars. On a Raid account.
If Clan Wars is 2 days like CVC then you could do level Arena where everyone uses base stat champs no gear, that is only 2 days, of the month the rest of the month you do regular LA so people would still want more champs and better gear.
Ash the cc Tyrauku, who did a highlight on another guys account, and the absolute disgusting amount of top tier +4's, fully ascended he had (Player 129....) was just out of this world. He did a rough calculation of how much he knows himself to have spent vs the highlight account, and he estimated the dudes spent 1/2 a million$ at least. Dude had 2, +4 Gnuts and 2 other fully decked out Gnuts (so that's 12 Gnuts total, so like every time he was on a x10 or progressive he'd pull), Also two, +4 Harima's, crazy stuff like that. Like I see sometimes when you or other people open their vault etc and its like wow that's gross, but this guy, was another level. The other crazy thing is that, at the time he made this video I'm mentioning (8 months ago), the guy had only played for 83 days (per the Log in rewards). So yes, I'm sure Drock is correct, that there are people that have spent a million$. Mind blowing, I know that the small amount of money I spend is something I can handle. Part of how I don't spend any more is because they give such trash deals 99% of the time, so that helps me, because I don't spend. I don't spend bc its trash deals. Anyways. Great video Ash and Drock.
As a low spending player in a low power Clan, in my Clan only ONE player can reach the 35 M level for the clash rewards. That absolutely needs to change
a new content idea: Summon Tower: Beating legendary champions with epic champs only to collect universal legendary fragments and summon any legendary champion you want before the tower rotates to epic fragments tower and so on...
I was thinking of clan wars to be like a 3v3 type of system. You get 3 Opponents from the other clan. They could add specific requirements (Epic only, Faction X, etc.) so they could keep everyone engaged. Or give bonus points when using certain champs. Would make me more excited pulling epic champs or building them - nowadays only a few Leggos can spark joy 😂
Ever since they added live arena, which I haven't touched, as well as Cursed City, which I love, I've been wanting the battle rules in live arena to actually list something. Restriction on factions, affinities, etc. would be great. I'd maybe consider live arena with such rules. Pretty much merging the rules of Cursed City into live arena and then it'll have my attention. For hydra clash, I still think it was wrong for them to reward based on damage. Doing so allows for players with broken champs to single-handedly win the hydra clash vs any clan. Instead, I wish hydra clash was based on clan member participation, difficulty done, as well as the chest tier they won. So for example, nightmare top chest could grant 16 points. Every chest below that would be 1 point less value, ending with lowest normal chest being 1 point. Then the hydra clash points would rely on every clan member doing the best difficulty they can and having busted teams with insane overall damage wouldn't matter. I'm only stumped on how a tie would be broken, if they were to change hydra clash to be like this.
To start you guys really just need to make a channel or make this a once a week thing. Always great videos when you two get together. I think the implementation of special events in live arena would be great. Epic/rare only days every week would really open up the content for a lot of people. Only concern would be how would that tie into the Quintus chase? Tag arena really needs a revamp too. Maybe something like old fighter games with tag where when an opponent dies the next one in the lineup comes in. Instead of 12 total champs maybe just 8? Personally, I really want to see a real meaningful way to target a specific champ. My idea is every month each player can choose any champ and they go on a player specific increased odds, much higher than anything currently because we all know it's bad, say 75-100x. If the player gets the targeted champ then the odds go back to normal and the player cannot pick another champ for increased odds until the next month. This would give players a better, and evolving way, to chase who they want, still give incentive to spend, and still not be guaranteed so the house would still win. Lastly, the token trader needs to get reworked to have champs rotating in/out. This would also help with people being able to target who they want. Great video guys, keep it up.
They should do tiers of competitive play like in Pokemon. Have an Ubers tier where everything goes, then have lower tiers of competitive going down to Never Use where its only commons, uncommons and shitty Rares or something.
Have a rotating champion pool that is the same for everyone to pull from in a competitive PvP mode. Then it will be 100% strategy and players will get to try champs they don’t have and it may drive them to want them.
i love colabs with ASH and big PAP for some reason bring more of these colabs i totally agree the power creep has rocketed in raid and went through the roof is rares or even epics even revalent in the game still now that blessings and mythics now have taken over in raid not to mentions mythical books are super expensive, arena and hydra feels so broken to me i feel for f2p players thier progression will be super slow in arena and hydra to its core raid really feels like a p2w game
If the Clan Wars is replacing CVC....PLATIUM PLEASE TIE CLAN REWARDS TO THE CLAN WIN AND NOT MY PERSONAL REWARDS! My clan has been sniped so many times after I put up 400k pts to lose out on my personal rewards but the clan got rewards! It makes NOOOOOOOOOOO sense at all!!!!!!!!
I would enjoy the game a lot if it wasn't for the Arenas. Especially Tag. I've been complaining about it so much. During this new rotation of it, the first group that I saw is the best example of why it needs fix. This Kraken had 3 teams, all fully blessed, of all Mythical and 1 Mithrala. I'm talking about 2 krixias, 2 Arbais, 3 Frolni, 2 Gharol, a Aphidus, and a Laxarius. All in Tag Silver 2 arena.
The thing that is about to make me quit is that with all these new champs, it's making many of the old champs obsolete. I've put in a ton of time and money to get to the point for end game champs.
Another thing they should change is top level. I'm at around level 88 ... and I am matched up with top tier players - not only lvl 100 but also wayyyyy out of my league. This goes for live arena, tag arena and classic arena. Make top level 125 so players like me are not matched up with end game players.
From reading social media, PvP (all types) is the most disliked part of Raid by a long shot. More PvP seems like a terrible idea that only benefits the small % of players who like PvP.
Pokemon Stadium had a "Rental" option where it lets you choose any Pokemon, but they are pre-built and level capped. You don't choose the stats, or the build- everyone has access to the same pool of units. It's pretty fun. Alternatively, get rid of whoever brings the no-nerf ultimatum, 'cause they don't know shit about competitive games (which is what RSL seems to want to move into).
They could even do only 1 champion from each level. If they made mythicals easier to attain. Even if they ramped up the draw rate for mikagi. 1 mythic/lego/epic/rare required.
Mirror Match ///////////// A Match where the champions each person plays are mirror copies of one another. The first person chooses one champ. The second player gets a mirror copy. The second player chooses two champs. The first player gets copies of both. Same gear, same stats. This way it doesn't matter if someone chooses the most OP mythical, the other player gets it too. It doesn't matter if the person is a Kracken, a whale, a tuna, or a minnow. Same champs, same teams. How well do you know the game? How well do you know the champions that are in play?

Ash the is actually lots of competition between ftps in Live Arena
Your other collabs are nice but only drock can match your energy ash and when you two combine it's the best. You two should just start a joint raid channel or something
Yep these guys are my two favorites 😊
These two could start a parallell universe with that energy 😂

21:36 I was still in high lvl 40s when Live Arena was released. Now at lvl 81. Since lvl 50 to now, 80% of people I'm matched with are lvl 100. It is broken.
I'm in a similar boat to @DMMDestroyer. Currently lvl 85. I haven't even done 1 live battle yet based on the matching. I refuse to spend time, in a very time consuming game, on a game mode this broken...
@@rxmud9539 I just got to lvl 100 and I think I'm still bronze 4 in Live arena, just didn't bother with it...
Thanks for tuning in ;)
Just one counterpoint to it.
@@RtdXyron I'm in Gold 2 now for Live. Would like to face other people in my tier with a level of similar value and or Player Power level
You don't have to compete on the highest level, you compete against people on the same level as you.
@@Tugela60 are you playing the same game?
it's pretty clear that plarium thinks spending money is some type of strategy. that's the whole point of CvC
Whales compete with whales, F2P compete with F2P. There is still strategy within the tiers. Don't try to Compete with krakens and the game is a lot more fun.
@@Mrtheunnameable which tier is F2P and which is whale? because I want to stay in the F2P tier but I keep getting matched with whales
yes they need to redo arena groups i been stuck for 9 months now cant get to silver 1 in 3vs 3,, i have 600k bp im going against 1.3 million teams cant beat anyone,, cant get mission done so basically i gave up on arena because its bs
Thanks for watching, Todd :)
I agree
But that's where the money is at. No one is spending millions to have a fast dungeon team.
Of course. This should be obvious. Some care about the clan level and personal rewards but that's about it.
You two guys go great together, good content man , and I agree to most of what you are saying here. good content and fun to watch. Thanks man!
I saw Drock on Hyphonix and thought his name was Truck lol he’s great and I was hoping for more raids stuff. Glad to see him on your channel a couple times now. Hes the best and you are too! Helps me a lot!!
Thanks Emmy! Glad you like it :)
Arena restrictions - sounds fun. Like Cursed City - restrictions make it more challenging.
Thoughts?
Thanks man! Glad you like it :)
I’ve been playing since beta, and to be so invested in something that doesn’t give a shit about 95% of its player base is really frustrating
the thing with raid is, no matter how much money you spend or how powerful your champions are, there is ALWAYS a 3% fail rate. there is always a 3% chance that your ultra nuke will be resisted and then they counter nuke you and you die.
Thanks for watching :)
Great collab! Save Ferris, awesome! You know...I saw that at the theater when I was 16 or so...long time ago 😊
Thanks for watching, Brian :)
Good stuff! Thanks Ash for inspiring me to make a channel!
Great collab!, as a solution id say they could add new tiers like platinum II, III, IV and V, so that the whales can play with eachoher while the low spender/f2p can reach and stay in GOLD
Thanks man! Glad you like it ;)
16:09 ik alot of people who spent players in the high end clans who've spent 100k+
i just dont bother fighting them in arena
Thanks for the commentary. Great cohab!
People have for sure spent about or over 1 mil on their account. A lot of the super high tier higg player accounts were shared among players with multiple people
Spending as well as people selling the accounts between each other (which means the spent resources are still on the account).
So hard evidance in a court of law...no
Anecdotal evidance...yes and it's all over the internet.
@@MRDAthe5TH and what happens when two entire clans do that? Who wins? The problem with a points or damage cap, is that there is no tiebreaker.
You are paired against someone your level. That is what the points are for.
You use a soft cap, meaning the point return decreases exponentially once you pass the soft cap. Then you don't have one dude basically outscoring the other 59 players combined.
A game I play - Hero Wars - has brawl events where heroes/titans are maxed across the board. So it becomes a strategy of selecting the best heroes/titans to counter a defense team, and picking the best defense teams.
have not played Hero Wars since my facebook account was hijacked 4 years ago and i am not going to pay what they want

Great video, as always! Just wanted to say that I enjoy Live Arena (although I don't play it much) as well as Cursed City. Both game modes are welcome additions to me, but Cursed City is the better game mode for small spenders like myself, lol.
Thanks man! Glad you like it :)
Ash: I know you may not be able read all the comments but hopefully you might like at least some part of this idea for clan wars and pass it along.
What if they did a pathway-set up? It would work like this.
Defense:
1. 6 paths
2. 30 nodes (one for each clan member)
3. Each node has a clan member set a defense.
4. Each node has a different stat bonus
5. 3 levels of fights (first level could be simple things … defense gets +10% attack or def or health etc. second level could have more intriguing nodes like defense has no passives allowed or epics only on offense etc. The third level would be mini boss level team and a boss team with very challenging fight conditions)
6. Each champion can only be used once in a level or tier of fights (Armanz could only be used on one node in tier 1 once in tier two once in tier 3 etc)
Have 24 hours to set defense.
36-48 hours for attack
On attack:
6. Only lose An energy once you move (not each time you go in for attack)
Win conditions:
1. Take down most nodes
2. If all nodes defeated, have tie breakers such as, fewest deaths overall (you can win but have two champs dead for example.)
Have a season lasting a month.
Get Put in a bracket with 10 teams each month.
Rewards are same for all teams in each bracket.
Top 3 teams move up a bracket
Middle 4 teams stay
Bottom 3 teams move down a bracket.
Mix up paths and nodes per season
My main account is lvl 100 and I still don't have an arena team. Classic arena is hard enough, live is out of the question.
I do think they need to revamp the match making as well as they need to add a draw versus just win and loose especially after a thirty min match where no one wins but if your the attacker but no actual victory but attacker looses
Lmao the face ash did when drocks camera cut out was too funny.
Epics or Rares only sounds so fun! I hope Plarium people heard that idea.
Thanks for tuning in :)
Wait and talk about it after something gets announced. Anyone can just make up what they might do or not.

Because you would absolutely instantly see tournaments for money.
as a player who player for almost 5 years , i couldnt come back with all the changes , and im sure for a new player view this is all too overwelming
Tournaments; 2v2,3v3,4v4(each player picks 1 champ or 2 in 2v2)
;epics only etc;world cup style round elimination;clash royale style top 50 tournament (5 losses and tournament ends);content creators hosting tournament etc
Great video guys, you have some great ideas for making the game for fun for everyone and more balanced
Rise of kingdoms has a game mode like that. It's from Thursday to Sunday. And the restriction is the amount of times you can play per day.
Love these collabs! It also means that there are 2 videos to watch with you two!
Thanks man! Glad you like it :)
Yo Ash, great show as usual, tx man. Hope I'm not out of line here, but just want to shout out this newish CC: 'Wood Tests Raid: Shadow Legends'. That was the genius of Sintranos is that rares I would have used for food I was now forced to develop since I wouldn’t always have to access to some Lego or epics
bro that intro music is amazing
What they could do with the live arena is every hour it changes, unlimited the first hour, Epics only the next hour, rares only the next, one hour break then it starts again. This way it going more often and you can choose what level you want to run in.
I play Raid way the hell more hours per day than I'd like to admit, and it seems like Live Arena is just about always closed.. I don't know why it's ever closed.
I like your ideas for variety.

Live Arena will humble your behind real quick!
We're all here for your opinion, what do you think of Raid?"
*Drock:* Thanks, Ash-
*Ash:* But first I wanna talk about Dragon Age!
"random" restrictions (or maybe static) for arena battles for instance.. like you get a match and then it picks Epic Lizards, or Spirit Skinwalkers and you do the best with what you have.. ungeared, unleveled, whatever.
obviously this is in addition to the existing areana.. not something you HAVE to participate in..
lol, guess I should have waited to comment, they started talking about this at around 25:00
Raid is a really fun game, you can spend a lot of time playing it, but his strength is also his weakness.
For me they should start to do like pay 2 win against pay 2 win, low spender against low spenders (like 20-100$ in the game overall) and a league of free to play
Spenders like to pay to beat people, if they only play vs others that spend they dont enjoy it as much
Outside of the top tier clans, there isn't a real balance problem in Hydra Clash.
Love drock and ash!
To be fair if I won the powerball I might go a little crazy on shards 😂 lmao!
Yeah. You got tons of money and life is short. You do whatever the hell you want and let others cry a damn river. Can't stand when people complain about how others spend their money when they hardly make enough to feed themselves.
Haha... Thanks for tuning in ;)
Mind blowing,
I know that the small amount of money I spend is something I can handle.
Thanks for watching, David :)
Totally agree with you guys!
At 15;41 why did you sell that Speed helmet with speed substats and hp percent???
They should do tiers of competitive play like in Pokemon. Have an Ubers tier where everything goes, then have lower tiers of competitive going down to Never Use where its only commons, uncommons and shitty Rares or something.
Have a rotating champion pool that is the same for everyone to pull from in a competitive PvP mode. Then it will be 100% strategy and players will get to try champs they don’t have and it may drive them to want them.
Thanks for watching :)
i love colabs with ASH and big PAP for some reason bring more of these colabs i totally agree the power creep has rocketed in raid and went through the roof is rares or even epics even revalent in the game still now that blessings and mythics now have taken over in raid not to mentions mythical books are super expensive, arena and hydra feels so broken to me i feel for f2p players thier progression will be super slow in arena and hydra to its core raid really feels like a p2w game
A mode where your empowerment gets turned off and you can ban champions before anyone picks!
Yes, we do need to. Warboy needs a buff
Thanks for tuning in :)
Thanks for tuning in ;)
I made it to gold level 1 one time just before they started the empowerment crap. Been stuck at silver 3 ever since.
They could even do only 1 champion from each level. If they made mythicals easier to attain. Even if they ramped up the draw rate for mikagi. 1 mythic/lego/epic/rare required.
Thanks for tuning in ;)
I think it'd be fun to have an A1 only arena challenge.
Resistance and Accuracy needs to be one stat and call it Willpower or something.
Rare and epic pvp would be great because the champs are much more balanced. Not just super op mythicals
Why did all of the xp get cut in half I farm 12-3 brutal and only get 4260 where I use to get more
u got exp booster on?
they need to have time zone consideration for live clan wars
I've only been playing for 6 months. I got matched with a 4 +4 6 star Mythical team in live arena. Ridiculous.
I pulled an Excruciator this morning. Bring on epic only arena.
Thanks for tuning in :)
I'm F2P in Boom Beach and Clash of Clans. So much more fun than the games I spend on.
HYDRA CLASH: 5th place gets 1 piece of gear
4th place gets 2
3rd place gets 3
2nd place gets 4
1st place gets 5
What's out of control is seeing all the one man defenses in gold 4 tag while us silver folks fight nothing but meta still all this time later
i was just complaining in chat about how powercreeping killed 90% of the gacha games LOL
idea for live arena you cant reuse your champs like hydra
Mirror Match /////////////
A Match where the champions each person plays are mirror copies of one another.
