Thanks Sheila, like you I tried knotting the yarn but wasn't successful, the length isn't long enough for a magic knot so this is the best way, thanks again 👍
Thank you. You a life saver. I made 3 of these 5 yrs ago, but I wasn't on the Internet then, so I can't remember how I joined them. I'm doing another now, and hit a join, and I'm so glad I decided to check on here. Brilliant idea. 😊💞
Hi Sheila, thanks a mill for sharing how to do this! 😊 Is this the way to do it for changing colours too? 🤔 I wonder if you have any videos of knitting hats with pompon yarn? Thanks again 😊 ❤ Carol (Ireland 🇮🇪)
Thank you so much for this Sheila! You're one of the few youtubers that films from above so we can actually see what you are doing. I find some film and the angle used blocks the view eg hands covering the action and some actually go out of shot right at a crucial moment!😂 only issue I had just like you took me flippin ages to thread the needle...much longer than the task itself 😄😄 Thanks again this video prompted me to subscribe 😉🤗
Glad i was of help, how to film so people could see what i was doing took a bit of working out as i don't have any of that fancy equipment, just my phone, a bingo board and a cupboard above my head, lol, i have a video up where i actually show how i do it🤗
@@sheilasknittingtipsandothe3191 Thank you so much for this tip. I'm using pom pom yarn for the first time and knitting a couple of scarves. I wasn't sure how to join the yarn, your method is simple and works a treat. I have trouble threading needles so my sister bought me these, they are great and you don't have need perfect eyesight to use them. Available in different sizes. Worth a try
Thanks for this. Like you, I worked it out myself then I went online to check. I really like your plain talking video- I’m a similar age and it felt you were talking to me 😁.
I have a question. When I cast off on Pom Pom yarn it curls up and it’s too tight no matter what I do. Is there a different way to cast off other than the normal? Thank you
It's a long time since i knit with the pom pom yarn Mark and i haven't got the thing i knitted but i think i cast off with a different piece of yarn very loosely..
@@sheilasknittingtipsandothe3191 that’s ok Sheila I managed to figure it out thank you for replying to me . and thank you for showing me how to join the yarn that was a great help .
The only way you can cast on is to use the yarn between the pompoms, cast on as you normally would just miss all the pompoms out, i used no 10 needles UK i cast on 2 sts between pompoms, i am on holiday in Corfu at the moment so cannot check on my work but hope this helps
If you think it's hot Angela you would be better off with a light duvet that's what i use in the summer i have a very large crochet Blanket that i use if i need any extra warmth

Thank you for sharing this, it really helped me, you are a lovely lady x x ❤
Looks good Nanna. It’s gonna be a lush scarf for winter 🤩 xxx
Help, please, Sheila. I am struggling to find the start of the pom pom wool. Are there any tricks to help?
The cut ends of this yarn fray like heck! (It’s made of a chain stitch!!!). You really need to seal it with either burning slightly of a dab of glue.
Thank you I am just about to start a pom pom baby blanket and was wondering how to join
Thank you ❤
Hi Sheila, have you knitted cardigans using this yarn and if so , how do you sew the shoulder seams together
Only ever made a scarf Peter think it would be rather difficult to make anything else with it..🤗
It never gets that hot here just outside Newcastle, i have my heating on tonight cause i am not very warm
Thank you, will give that a try.
Thank you for sharing
