Welcome back!! Breaks are so healthy so take them as you need💜 Are you excited for Witch Hat Atelier's anime? I'm superrrr excited for it. Bluelock season 2 is on my docket too (I'm procrastinating after hearing some of the issues with the animation but I will get to it I SWEAR). I will take this as a sign from the universe to FINALLY pick up One for My Enemy. Please do not ask me how long it has been sitting on my self LOL 🥴Masters of Death has been eyeballing me too . 👁👄👁 Honestly?? that description of T. Kingfisher's books is so accurate! I have never thought about it. I always rate them a solid 3.5-4 LOLOL
right back at you honestly! 💜💜💜 we gotta look after ourselves! YESSSSS omfg im so excited i cannot WAIT to see it animated!! and girl...you know me, you know my enthusiasm for blue lock....i DROPPED season 2 10 mins into episode 3, it is CRAP and im going to cry how could they do this to my favourite series!!!! :'( i think you should!!! im 60% into masters of death and OH MY GOD i LOVE this too!!! the audiobook narrator for this one especially is POPPING the fuck off he is doing it all i love this man! RIGHT!?? like they always hit the spot but they never change my life, they are stable and reliable!
@ 😩 I finally got my husband to watch but he saw TH-cam clips of season 2 and told me never mind. How could they do this???? 😭😭 it looked like a power point presentation. Ohhh I’m on a role with audiobooks and have free credits. Adding to my cart as we speak! I’m so glad audiobooks have gotten better. Recently listened to an old timey one and was taken a back by the..uhh… interesting performance lol.
I picked up one for my enemy recently. I am not sure if I will vibe with the writing style, but I really want to read it soon! I love that I haven’t heard about a lot of these books! 💕
amazing!!! i will say if you don't like the writing style then you probably won't like her other books, but conversely if you do then you will LOVE her other books (especially masters of death!)
I've been very curious about the saint of steel series- how did you like the first 3? I heard its a bit more romancey which would be nice 😊 At least you completed the series! Parable of the Sower was really hard to get through the first half and I have been delaying reading the second one haha and yes too real right now 😅 you've fully convinced me to read OFME! I just got a special edition of For She is Wrath and wasn't sure about it- and now I might be more unsure haha I am sorry the ending was so disappointing- thats the worst! Nghi Vo is definitely an interesting writer- I've been reading her singing hills series but this one sounds super interesting!
they are definitely more romancey, but i really like them! every single one of them has been over 4 stars, they just hit the spot and honestly i LOVE being in the saint of steel world!! apparently there is a prequel series (the clockwork boys or something) but i havent read that yet, but i highly recommend the saint of steel (the audiobooks were also great!) honestly!! like i really want to try it again but it just made me too depressed 😅 YESSS join the olivie blake club mwahahah! (im also about 60% of the way through another of her books Masters of Death and this is such a 5 star for me as well!!) but be warned they are very character driven and a lot of the book is talking and characters navigating various shifting dynamics etc. so expect that going in! honestly i still really like For She is Wrath at its core, but the ending did just sour it for me :( who knows, you might actually like the ending!! but regardless it's still worth reading, and special editions are pretty anyway so who cares hahaah i actually have a special edition of the WORST book ive ever read (got it in a book box) and i haven't unhauled it yet because it's too pretty 😅 ooooh i haven't checked out any of her other work so im keen to do that!
I'm still waiting for Witch Hate Atelier to finish so I can read it because I hate waiting for releases 😭 But now you convinced me, maybe I'll just read it casually when I'm in line LOL. I'm at the point where I haven't had much mangas to read so it might be my current go to. 👀👀 Reading One For My Enemy soon. I CANNOT WAIT. Could be mentally over hyping myself but I need it. I need the emotions you have. But I'm also reading The Poppy War, and that was gut wrenching with many moments that made me gasp. I can't wait to experience what you experienced. If I do end up not liking it.... 🏳🏳 LOL. DAMN the viciousness on the brother in HIMMS. But is that him on the cover because I might've been simping over the artwork LOL 🥴 I just think that November is a slump month. Between myself, and everyone I've seen -- many people were in a reading slump from just poor picks. My average rating for November is a whole point lower than what my regular ratings are 🥲I'm here for you in your fantasy era buecause I am ALSO in a fantasy era, and I'm making my way through the popular-er books. And well, like you heard how I feel about 4th Wing. I need one that has that level of fantasy world!!
honestly i kinda feel the same, but its so good that i couldnt NOT catch up (even though i wanted to let it marinate hahah) honestly same now that im in my fantasy era again i kinda fell off with manga!! i can never balance things oops- i love it so much omfg and im 60% through another of her books, masters of death, and im screaming i love this one so much too!! just to prepare you with the right expectations, so much of her books is dialogue and characters talking and navigating changing relationships and new dynamics (which i love!!!) so if you go in expecting that you will like it! (i still love the plots though haha, they're just much more character driven than plot driven) I'm actually about to start the poppy war because of you!! ready to have my heart ripped out weeeeee ....im sorry to inform you that YES the sexy man on the cover IS the shitty brother 🥲🥲🥲i was also simping for him but he is just being an annoying angsty whiney baby and i need him to drop the bullshit so i can go back to admiring his pretty face hahaha thats actually crazy because its so true, november is just so overwhelming, and people are burnt out, and preparing for christmas, etc. and just so much is going on that reading falls by the way side! thank goodness we are both in our fantasy eras because we can once again sync up our recommendations yay!
As you already know, I fully support your decision to DNF Parable of the Sower, for now or whatever. It's a good book, but very depressing. Did you make it to the part with the presidential candidates catch phrase? Kinda similar... I've been intrigued by If we were villains, and then I keep scratching it from my list, and then I put it back, and now you've reminded me again about the Shakespeare thing, and I'm just not interested. Scratching it again 😆 At least you found a favorite!
im pretty sure i did! i at least recall hearing the talk about the candidates and their slogans and i remember thinking 'OH!😃" Honestly i stand by that for you, everytime i think about picking it up again i remember how miserable i was reading it and i think i either need a LONG break or i might just not pick it up again, i just did NOT care 😭 right!? like i keep hearing how much people love it but everytime i try i just put it down because it's not engaging me at all and i keep rolling my eyes at the shakespeare stuff!! a little would be fine but its like every third line and it's not even there to add anything to the plot🥲😅 yep honestly Olivie Blake is SAVING my reading year, im halfway through Master's of Death and this might make all three of the books ive read of hers five stars, because WOW 🥰
okay that's it. I'm going to put One For My Enemy on my 25 for 25. (spoiler alert) I understand your critiques of If We Were Villains. I viewed them as dramatic actor students and that really made me like the book more. But ya its for sure not for everyone. 💯 we love your yaps hellooooo. So here for listening you chat about the books you read. 💖 Can't wait to hear about all the books you are loving this month! ya I have only read about 2 holiday themed books and they were pretty good!! Most of the time I don't go for them. (Kiss Her Once for Me and How To Excavate a Heart)
YESSSS mwahaha (might as well add her other book Masters of Death on there too because honestly I'm reading it now and so far it is essentially tying with one for my enemy!! I really think olivie Blake's writing just HITS for me so don't feel bad if it's not a favourite of yours hahah That's kind of how I *tried* to view them, but because i was kind of falling into a reading slump I couldn't being myself to get invested in them enough to push through, but I'm definitely keen to try again next year! stoppppp you're too kind hehe but right back at you ofc!! I stay OBSESSED with you and your videos ofc 🧎🏻♀️🧎🏻♀️🧎🏻♀️ yep that's pretty much my impression too haha like im usually just not in the mood!
Great video 🥰
why thank you!! 🥰🥰🥰
