Anthpo's videos were so comforting because they would always end with a good lesson even if the video was something super silly. He was just living life and documented a piece of it. He also didn't milk his content, he was very genuine and ended it when he said he would. It's sad that he's done but it was fun to follow along. Very excited that he's inspired so many people with his video style. Can't wait to see more of your content!😄
AH TYSM 😭💕 I think him leaving has motivated me to start making my own college experience more fun cause now I don’t have anthpo to watch vicariously and learn from
I went to high school with Anthony. His general content has never really been my style of entertainment, but (even during those high school days) I always respected both his dedication/professionalism and continual proof of quality; he was pretty much always doing bigger and better things. But now, I think my newfound respect for his content derives from those old videos, because they document what my school and life looked like back during those days. I hope those videos remain there forever, so that I can always look back and see some of those memories. I think that’s the biggest message from a lot of his content, especially the recent stuff that I’ve seen: making memories. He’s spent enough time managing a channel, always focusing on how to improve content and grow stats, and I think he probably feels that he’s seeped as many memories from it as possible. Rather than remain stagnant, he’s looking to find and make new memories elsewhere; which is a sentiment that I think tracks back even to his high school days.
The editing, the comedy, the in depth, personal exploration into burnout and content creation, and the cute ass ruG 😭♥️. I’m so excited to see your channel grow 😭😭😭
Anthpo played a pretty big role in my life through highschool and almost 20s now, he built a pretty idealistic view of things that so many people have set as target in their own lives with their groups of friends, it was pretty upsetting to have thay image broken when he started going into depth with his struggles but i think that it is a good thing, my life and my friend group would have never been the same without him and i am honestly just so greatful for it all Looking forward to what you have in mind for videos Somehow this video was only on my suggestions now so it's probably too late but gimme
It was disillusioning to hear him open up for sure but also deeply comforting to hear that even the power of friendship guy was capable of feeling lonely
Excited for you. What a well thought out video and highly enjoyed the rug making ✨ as a content creator myself this shit is HARD. I often times think about quitting too. Anyways you hit the nail on the head.
NATALIE TYSM 😭💕💕 I’m sure you hear this all the time but your videos were my childhood 😭🫶🏼 we have completely different experiences as a veteran TH-camr and someone just starting a channel so it’s comforting to see that my feelings are somewhat universal for creators 😭
anthpo is such an inspiration when it comes to just documenting memories with your friends like its hard to find a way to emulate that without 1. using your friends for content and 2. not overworking from yt t-t
!!! The original concept for this video was gonna be talking about how creators should be inspired by anthpo to create more relaxed “digital scrapbook” content and focus on artful storytelling and memories, but that just tied into the blurring of what’s real and what’s for content 😭 turning everyday life, memories, and friendships into artistic visions might be better than commercialized content for the viewers, but it can be exhausting for creators
I had a video or two of anthpo in my watch later for months and I never watched it until last week and I enjoyed it so much I wanted to watch his videos more and more and just enjoy the college life he had and all the memories he created with his friends but after seeing that he left yt a month ago I just felt so sad since there aren't many youtubers who create content like anthpo (seeing comments where ppl are saying they've taken inspo from his content and starting their channel is great). His videos had the best dynamic friendships, editing, jokes, and wholesomeness in it that it made me realise so many things I can do with my social life when I get in college and not just rot. Sucks that I never got to be updated with journey for the past years but looking at them now from the start to end is really heartwarming
I can't put into a comment how amazing this video is, actually Doothi, it's a wonderful loveletter to Ant and creators in general, can't wait to see more from you!
Yeah completely get the burnout. Started uploading youtube shorts on crocheting just for fun and when I saw they was getting over 1k views it made me want to make more. After posting everyday for about 5 weeks I realised I wasn't doing it cause I enjoy it but rather cause I wanted to see my subscriber count and views go up. I've took a break for now but hopefully will start posting again in the new year
Anthpo really is a great inspiration, Ik everyone’s saying it and they are all right, for me I started watching him late into my 6th grade year, and now I’m a sophomore, he was a huge part of my early teen years and Inspired me to make my own channel (which eventually got deleted cause I made it on a school account, I was very dumb) but since freshman year I’ve had a main channel that’s grown a small bit over the year and I’m decently proud of. I wouldn’t be doing videos if not for Anthpo, so I’ll always remember him for his impact on my life
Anthpo’s videos have really been a huge inspiration for so many, it’s still hard to believe that he’s done TH-cam. This video was really well done, can’t wait to see what you put up next. Also gimme the Paul rug. It’s adorable.
I really enjoyed your style. It's got a lot of familiar elements, but it's nice to see you do a second thing you're passionate about, and incorporate that into the videos. Mixed Content that isn't just generic mush for short attention spans. I felt like I was sitting in a room with a friend, catching up after not seeing each other for months. So thank you for giving me that feeling, I needed it. 🙂
I definitely get a lot of the struggle in this video. Over the years i've turned down so many opportunities to make memories just to work on content creation. It's funny to think Anthpo has been the creator to inspire me to drop what I'm doing and to go live my life more. Also love the rug and will be here for your videos to come lol
It’s definitely ironic how he inspires me so much as a content creator/creative but also gave me a much needed wake up call to how much of my life I was investing into creating content 😭
This is amazing! Anthpo's personality and content has inspired me for years and I'm so glad to see he's had a similar impression on others. I've always wanted to try content creation and it's so cool that you're actually doing it I can't wait to see what you do next! Also the rug looks awesome it would be so cool to have it as a physical reminder of Anthpo so you should gimme the rug because I'm clearly the hottest *imagine that with rizz
Girl, you’re so funny and iconic I love you so much. You’ve already got a #1 fan in me (as if I’m not you’re #1 fan IRL). Also bro you’re so talented that rug is AMAZING GIMMIE PLZ, LOOK AT HOW ATTRACTIVE MY BIRD IS! Anywho, great video and I really hope you keep creating more content if you’re up to it. Can’t wait to see more hilarious jokes and great editing ^_^
As someone who is literally just starting a channel due to the inspiration from Anthpo (watched since right about the start) this video was amazing and it is crazy to me that you were able to make something of this high quality for your first video (: I really settled on the fact that I want to have my videos as a way to keep memories with all of my best friends after realizing my passion for editing, and this video just related to me so much, so thank you for that. ALSO ANTHPO THE GOAT 💯💯
I believe that most all creative endeavors from content creation, game development, art, writing, ect. is best done when you don't do it for money, fame or some other measure of success but rather to make something your passionate about to just make something you can be proud of and if you can get the other measures of success while your at it that's awesome if trying to get to make it "successful" removes the joy from creating why are we creating in the first place.
i loved this video! it feels like you're going to continue anthpo's legacy and i'm sure that'll be really fun, but don't try to fit in his shoes (tho, that's pretty obvious) i hope you have fun creating for this channel and enjoy it gimme the paul rug :)
THANK YOU SO MUCH! The interview did such a good job capturing the essence of Anthpo but weaved in comedy and introspection so well 😭 truly inspiring as a writer and incredibly enjoyable as a fan 💕
I love this video, honestly the bear you were making was so satisfying to watch lol ❤ Feel like anthpo is a great inspiration to all of us and im glad you're talking abt him 🤗
you video recently hit my recommended sections, but i really am glad it did, because i am happy to watch another amazing channel grow and establish itself on this platform. I found anthpo in late 2019, and stuck with him since, so him finally leaving his channel was very bittersweet to me. and especially when he began opening up about real issues faced behind the screen, it made me realize how hard this job can become, and how the relationships and things we saw on there weren’t exactly perfect like we thought. but still, it once again gave me a more honestly and truthful insight on how relationships are, and how they’re not all perfect, but you can still make the most of the memories made with them in your hs and college years (the ladder coming soon for me 🥲). again, your rug making, story telling and just overall vibe is so fun and enjoyable to watch, and i hope you can watch your channel and experiences grow from this with happiness :) (and if that bear hasn’t been snatched yet, pls gimme, i swear i’m hot)
I feel like positive reactions to content creation is always a hit or miss, but it keeping subscribers engaged is something that's more of a challenge since it takes so much effort and time to entertain such a large audience. I've personally have had MANY embarrassing gacha, nightcore, fan accounts in the depths of my phone. So, I don't think anyone really should care about what is put online, as long as it's not hurting anyone. It's mainly because making videos should just be seen as a fun way to self express and connect to people online. I'm so happy to see other TH-camrs like Antpho that are so raw online, so I'm excited to see a youtube that's really into carpeting stuff and just talking about life. (Also gimmie that bear, I'm literally in love with him)
^^ THIS! I’m still working on unlearning the intense firsthand embarrassment my own content gives me but being free from the shackles of cringe culture and clout culture and just being able to post what you want without worrying about other people’s responses and numbers is peak liberation 😭💕
This is actually a good video. I may be going to University (Americans would call it College) soon so I may end up doing something similar, although I feel like it wouldnt be similar to Anthpo with him ending it all but at the same time, I feel like it its with him ending it just fits, with his journey ending, ours should begin.
this video was awesome, and really made me think a little more about the depth of his leaving youtube, and content creation as a whole, also gimme paul!!!❤
Thank you for commenting on Sofiya's rug video, thanks to that i found you! I really like your way to tell a story. You have a very chill, fun and entertaining way of telling them. I hope to see a lot more! I don't know who that guy is but how you talk about his story (and yours) makes it still as entertaining (i think) as it would had been if i knew him. I can tell you are not new to this kind of medium.
Thank you so much?? your comments are making my life rn ): I’m also glad I commented on Saifya’s video because now you’re here! quite literally the sweetest commenter ever 😭💕
Why tf did I start tearing up watching his goodbye video- I can't believe he quit, but he's grown now, and I guess that part of growing up is letting go and living your life to the fullest without a camera following you. Congrats on you graduation anthpo and to answer the question on the title, no. TH-cam is no longer fun for some of us, but at least we can open our horizons and see another side of youtube to make us laugh. why am I still typing bro and wtf is this paragraph even about- idk if anyone can even understand what i'm saying lol
You are really good at rug tufting! Me personally , I feel once you get popular on TH-cam it is very hard to stop because your audience expects you to keep going. It is very sad
!!!! when you’re a smaller TH-camr that blows up you go from being “underrated” and intrinsically motivated by your own passions to being “overrated” and motivated by external pressures like metrics, appeasing thousands of viewers, posting consistency, etc. 😭
i do love and desire the rug im such a fan of textile art. i think what it comes down to is the reason Why you are making content. i made videos for a while and now i post art regularly on my IG. i find when i get burnt it out is when i get too wrapped into the "schedule" of it all and lose what actually Interests me about creating. of course its a line to walk especially of youre pursuing content creation (or even just a creative industry job) to balance between taking care of yourself and just the fact that Sometimes You will Work when you Dont want to. a work/life balance is especially difficult to maintain when your career Is your hobby and Is your passion. there are ways to still Maintain that balance. for me personally thats finding creative outlets Outside of my main one. actually why im getting into textile stuff lol!! idk. this came up in my recommended and its and interesting conversation
!!!! Getting caught up in scheduling posts, batching content, and ensuring I had enough daily uploads for optimal algorithm growth made TikTok so draining and creatively unfulfilling for me. It definitely is about finding that balance between remembering why we create in the first place while also pushing ourselves to keep creating 😭
The most stressful part about content creation is the restriction of creativity. If you make a certain style of video and it gets extremely popular, once the excitement of your video becoming viral wears off, you slowly realize that you can't make content relating to other things or another style without your view count being exceedingly lower than usual because it is different than what made you viral in the first place, which makes it really hard to be yourself in videos most of the time. I still recommend posting what makes you happy regardless of how many views it gets, because if you are so passionate about something and you want to share that with the world, share it. Don't look at that view number and allow it to define your worth as a human being, because the only person who has the ability to make these videos is you. This is YOUR channel, and while you may make these videos for others to see, risking your creativity to please a number under your video is what makes it not as fun and is what makes most people want to quit or go on a hiatus. Make sure that you are always your top priority and not to let numbers get to you. If content creation is fun to you, keep it fun.
!!! atm keeping content creation fun is a top priority of mine because I really don’t want to feel the same way about TH-cam that I feel about TikTok 😭
Hi, I got a random reddit notification while I was studying for my math final. I see something about a Paul rug. I check your video out and it was an awesome video to watch. I’ve never seen a person make rug before so thanks for the new experience. It was a nice hearing you talk over you making the rug in the background and discussing about content creators. I am also 20 years old and have been thinking of becoming a TH-cam animator. I want to make animations of experiences in my life.Honestly I’ve been so busy with school that I kinda forget about it. Then it come backs, goes for another month, and returns. Anyways, It’s really cool that you are making the effort to becoming a TH-camr and this was a really well made video. The editing was clean and so was everything else to be honest. Hopefully you grow to become an amazing content creator with tons of views and stuff. I wish you the best of luck on your journey. Ps. Paul is best -Janas
Thank you so much for your kind words 😭🫶🏽 if TH-cam has been something you’ve been considering for a while now, I recommend giving it a try (even if it’s for a few months). It’ll give yourself closure and stop that “what if” feeling. And, who knows, you might really enjoy it and stick with it! Thanks again for your comment 💕
oml i thought you were an old timer youtube with a backlog of 50,000 high quality videos like a danny gonzales type. only to find out this is the first. i’d love to see you upload more i’ll be here for it ignore the numbers
i found you from your most recent video abt mitsy and i'm absolutely obsessed with your style 🥹🥹🥹 its always such a treat to find channels that have clear creative and artistic direction behind them
Wowee! High quality stuff! Although you might not have the time, could I ask what you use as a software to edit your content? Good luck, I- a doomscroller, will be watching your success!
I’m a premiere editor! (college students get free access) but lowkey use capcutPro if I’m feeling lazy (like for the zero sub giveaway bit, if I just need to put clips in order, or throw on a quick effect and don’t want to wait 5 hours for footage to export) 💕
This video was really great until you said you were a business major 🤢🤢
womp womp - video is officially outdated

I wish I had the type of friend group that Anthpo had. They were all so happy to be with eachother.
I think Anthpo has inspired so many creators, I'm excited to see how youtubes going to change with him gone
I really think it marks the beginning of a new era I’m excited too 😭

I'm so happy to see other TH-camrs like Antpho that are so raw online, so I'm excited to see a youtube that's really into carpeting stuff and just talking about life. (Also gimmie that bear, I'm literally in love with him)
^^ THIS! I’m still working on unlearning the intense firsthand embarrassment my own content gives me but being free from the shackles of cringe culture and clout culture and just being able to post what you want without worrying about other people’s responses and numbers is peak liberation 😭💕
Holy shot you’re already at 103 subs?? I’m So excited for the next video !
Goddamn this is great honestly. Love the video, hope you keep your channel going man
will do 😤💕
YOOO CONGRATS ON 2.5k subs! You deserve it! :)
AHHH TYSM you’re the first one to notice a real oneee 😭💕🎉
This is actually a good video. I may be going to University (Americans would call it College) soon so I may end up doing something similar, although I feel like it wouldnt be similar to Anthpo with him ending it all but at the same time, I feel like it its with him ending it just fits, with his journey ending, ours should begin.
Anthpo leaving is definitely a sign of new beginnings for all of us inspired by him
this was worth waiting for 😌 and the editing was actually so cool but also time to start a podcast 🤩🤩
next moves 😤💕
this video was awesome, and really made me think a little more about the depth of his leaving youtube, and content creation as a whole, also gimme paul!!!❤

Nice video! I saw your post on the anthpo sub

Im happy to see anthpos inspiring you. Good luck.
Also Gimme
ty 😭🫶🏽
I don't comment much but loved the video can't wait to follow this journey
Gimmie 😮
😭💕
I am investing in this as the 292nd subscriber
I’ll always remember 😤💕
I can see you slowly becoming a top tier youtube moment
Stop that’s so sweet 😭💕
GIMME PLEASE *said with anime boy inmpression rizz*
i was so sad when i barely discovered his channel right when he graduated 😭 like my luck
his channel is a time capsule in itself, so it’s perfect for looking back on even if you weren’t there for some pre-graduation bits 😭
I want the rug! It looks sweet.
so happy the youtube algorithm brought me to this
I’m so happy it brought us together welcome 😤💕
Ps. Paul is best

Please make more vids. I loved this one :)

Gimme that rug pls. My sister is a massive Anthpo fan and I want to give it to her for her birthday
Good luck 🍀
