    The correct low budget way to do it! I personally use solar cells from broken solar power banks. The ones I got here are like 6V and 120mA, so 2 of those would be ideal.

    If I use 3 leds 9w (1 led / 3w), how much resistance is required? and how much battery capacity is needed to light 10 hours. Thank you

    • @TMCreations
      @TMCreations  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you for the question, here you want to light 9W LEDs for 10 hours,then you need 9*10/3.7=24.32Ah battery capacity i.e. 24,320mAh battery,which can be obtained connecting 3.7v cells in parallel.And you have not mentioned rated voltage of LED,so I cannot give correct value,So if the rated voltage of LED is 4v,then we can use 1ohm resistor,if the value is 3v,it is better to use 5 ohms-10 ohms.

    Can i use the same circuit, but instead of ledstrip, add an arduino board, so arduino board will start work only at night (using the battery which will be charged through daylight)?

    • @TMCreations
      @TMCreations  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for late reply, I was little bit busy, we can use the circuit that produces 7v to 12v output,but in this circuit there is only 3.7v output, so the voltage going to led strip is less than 3.7v.therefore we can not add an arduino board.

    • @TMCreations
      @TMCreations  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      First of all thanks for nice words.I think you can use 2s charger board instead of TP4046 board,and solar panel must be of 10v rated for 2s charging system.Other rest of circuit remains same.There is another way like charging two cells in individual way by TP4056,but you have to connect them again in series to get 7.4v after battery charged fully.Simply you can use two 5v relay switch to connect and disconnect system .So in my opinion it is better to use 2s charger board with battery protection.Finally you can use BD140 instead of BC557.Hopefully this may help you.

      You should do experimently,I mean first of all be sure the actual time that darkness occurs in your area.But it can be done inside the home too...using a warm light focusing directly on LDR,then decreasing intensity of light at a point,we can fix the value oF resistor by experimentally.if you put high value like greater than 100k+ i.e. 200k,500k,1M,THEN THERE WILL BE DELAY ON SWITCHING TRANSISTOR,IF YOU PUT LOW VALUE,THEN TRANSISTOR SWITCHES EARLIER THEN EVENING.

    I'm planning on making a lithium power bank kinda similar to this, I'll be using a bunch of solar lawn panels in series and parallel so it works when there is not much light, do you know if it will break the tp4056 if it charges and discharges at the same time or am I going to need switches?

    • @TMCreations
      @TMCreations  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      mashed potatoes, of course you can make solar panels each of output 5v in parallel to increase amount of charge current,so that panels will charge quickly lithium ion battery,..but when sometimes there is not much light intensity,it is better to put panels in series to increase voltage, but if you are using 5v panels in series and using 2 or more panels in series,for example 3 panels,so that they all produces 5v+5v+5V=15v output,when connecting in series,so you need to regulate voltage,i.e. need to convert 15 v to 5v dc using linear regulator,or dc to dc converter,it will be better,and works well.if you input high voltage to tp 4056 module,some module have protection circuit,like shirt circuit,reverse polarity etc,so you won't need worry,but charging will be stop,so it is better to regulate or convert any dc voltage to 5V ,as tp 4056 needs 5v input to charge lithium battery.

    Hello, very good vídeo, please the Solar panels are connected in parallel or in series

    • @TMCreations
      @TMCreations  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much, panels are in parallel connection, each panel produces 5.2v when placed in full intensity of light,I recommend series connection of 2 panel,I.e. total volt will be around 10v,if there is no sunlight voltage will fall by 7v-8v,hence TP4045 can maintain input voltage ranges from 5v to 8v,so battery remains charging even there is no sunlight.

Diode may be in series or parallel doesn't matter, they make such habit and it's good sense.
