We discovered this place by accident when we visited Kyoto, they will also give you a free postcard with the picture of the garden in different seasons. Entrance fee is 1000 Japanese Yen but totally worth it with the free matcha and ambiance of the place. definitely a hidden gem.
Autumn is definitely the best time to visit the garden as the foliage is a mixture of vibrant orang, yellow, brown and green colors.

The walking time at "Okochi Sanso Garden" that I introduced this time is about 20 minutes (the stroll in the video is mostly uncut).
For the rest, you can imagine the time you would spend on tea breaks individually.
If you are considering exploring the entire Arashiyama area, it would likely require half a day to a full day.
