The “diamond” is definitely not an actual diamond. There’d be no reason for James to keep it an actual diamond secret unless it was for an engagement ring and that wouldn’t make sense because James wouldn’t want the listener wearing something people are willing to kill over. But tbh, I’ve got no idea what it would be. Since it was from Rome, maybe an ancient Roman artifact. Or it could be the blueprints for new technology that will be worth trillions once it hits the market. Something like that.
