We truly need to impliment Price Ceiling on coal and diesel sold to ESKOM, because of its business nature of supplying essential services.
Eskom needs to have their own COAL MINES
That is a great idea and can solve problems... I think everyone, especially capitalists will agree: buy and merge coal plants with coal mines in a single business...
Technically when Brian explained cost price mining it seems they already do but we’re being screwed by Glencore… a company Cyril had shares in and was also its chairman when he was deputy president and head of government business.
They do. Cost-plus mines belong to Eskom but companies like BHB Billiton and Glencoe just run them on "behalf" of Eskom, fleecing it for billions of dollars through expensive and undelivered coal and evergreen contracts.
Well,they do,it's a crazy contract that was entered into in which Eskom is a loser,similarly with the so called renewables,South Africans aren't benefitting anything from them hence he refused to agree to their deal when he was a GCEO of eskom,he also refused to get into a deal with Glencore that sought to balloon a price of coal from R400/ ton to over a R1000/ton,A career of an alumni was destroyed as a result.

Such a waste to have the likes of Brian in Parliament. The man is supposed to be at Eskom doing actual work, not speeches here.
But it's alos good to have someone outside of Eskom, who actually knows the truth about what exactly is going on at Eskom. Too many lies have been told. Yes, he did the work, but he was sabotaged and accused of corruption, and then later, the charges were dropped. There is a lot we are yet to learn as the citizens.
