Major props to the casting director, because those kids were fantastic. I loved the weird mix of emotions on the one boy's face when he was called "every gay man over 50."
It accurately describes who that kid will have to blow to make it in the entertainment industry.
@@spikedmo💀💀💀
Agreed, the kids were great.
Even the little girl who played Hoda waited for the audience to stop laughing from the previous joke until she said her line. ☺️
In the back of his mind: "Is this foreshadowing my future self?"
Little Hoda was especially good lol, and you can see her hold back the line a beat because her introduction gets a big laugh from the audience. Such pros these kids
I noticed that... Wonder if it was taught to her or came naturally
@@michellepricejawers2028 she's almost certainly heard "wait for the laugh to start fading then start your next line", that's a common early lesson for live comedy performance where you're expecting laughs.
The way the young girl playing Hoda delivered the line: The wig is fake but the wine is real! 😂 I couldn't breathe i was laughing so hard. These kids were awesome.👏
I like that she started but caught herself and held for the applause to die down. Already and itsy bitsy pro
@@vincentjohnflorio definitely! 👍❤️
But the wig isn't fake the HAIR is fake.
She was great!
My biggest laugh of the night. Would love to see Hoda's reaction on Monday.
Little kids that appear in SNL sketches are usually mute; little more than props. Not this time! These kids were completely adorable. Especially little Hoda and little Fran! And did you see little Barbie wink at the camera? That was great! This is my favorite sketch so far this season.
I love that the sketch was sort of making fun of the SAG-AFTRA rules on Halloween, but was also going through each of the rules in an informative way. Also, Sarah Sherman's a legend
Same policy went for the writers. All they want is just a LITTLE bit of “Kit Kats” from the record breaking number of “Kit Kats” the studios make and could easily afford to drop the equivalent of a penny in the bucket for their pay raises.
I dont think they’re making fun of the strike. This very much felt like a sponsored sketch by the SAG union with all the forced information and politics.
@@FreakieFanAh yes, being portrayed as pedantic, unreasonable and mean to children. What a wonderful paid ad!
@@FreakieFan I mean the writers just got off strike. I don’t the SAG union had to pay them. It’s called solidarity.
@@Heartwing13 Thank you.
The child actors in this sketch are great.
Agreed! We’re striking so they have a future in the industry ❤
Wtf weird comment
I wonder if members of SAG-AFTRA threw eggs and rotten tomatoes as these kids for being scabs.
@@rodneyboehner3007youre clueless, the sag strike doesnt apply to this type of show. Lmao
@@briannadean4372 Brah, the stike should apply to SNL because it is using actors and extras to the detriment to the SAG-AFTRA stirke, while benefiting of one of labor's targets, Universal-NBC. NBC is also clearly taking cheap shots at SAG-AFTRA president Fran Drescher and the strike with this sketch. Use your brain, ∂µmmy!!! THIS STETCH IS TAKING A CHEAP SHOT AT THE STRIKE AND LABOR!
Love that part when she say the wig is fake ,but the wine is really ,too funny
Don’t spoil it! I haven’t seen it yet!!

Little Hoda nailed her lines. Total professional already!
😅😅
The child actors were really great in this one! The wolverine one caught me off guard though 🤣
The kids ruled the sketch, good one, especially liked little The Nanny at the end, whose impression of Fran Drescher was slightly better than Sarah's.
SLIGHTLY better???
"The wig is fake, but the wine is real!" -- Little Hoda 😆
"I'm not dressed as Sloth, I'm just holding a Baby Ruth" - hilariously excellent
I can not unsee it. 😂😂😂😂😂
3:48-4:47 Her trick-or-treat analogy is a really good way to explain the whole point of the SAG strike. God, I love Sarah, her chaotic energy is just the best.
Considering that the SAG-AFTRA strike ended by the time the next new episode (the second time Timothee Chalamet hosted) was being made, do you think this sketch had something to do with it, or is it just a coincidence?
The child actors did good in this (I wonder how many belong to staffers?)
especially the girl who nailed the Drescher... laugh if you want to call it that.
The kid that I know is a paid SAG/AFTRA actor. They probably all are.
Idk you would have to ask someone who works at SNL
They did well.
None, those kids are trained NYC actors.
Yes, they did WELL.
Those kids are great. I hope some of them will become cast members someday.
My thought, exactly.
It would take being a cast member since age 10 to be there longer than Keenan
Agreed.
What?!?! 🤦
Nate Rocks on SNL!
Darn, I thought my Zoheth, son of Ishi costume was gonna be unique, now it’s gonna be the most popular costume this year!
0:48 Love the little girl's reaction when the kids are called "adorable scabs." lol
Ryan Reynolds said that he's going to have to yell "SCAB!" at his 9 year old daughter... LOL
Sarah roasting Nate as if he was Colin Jost 😂
Her schtick is to be annoying, and she does it oh so well.
They should have had Colin play that part.
😂😂😂
The little girls who played hoda is star she killed it the wig is fake the wine is real was funniest line of the night i was dying 😂😂
I missed that part because I had to go pick up my dad from the airport and drive him to his hotel
@@PatDaBallsfor real tho. Why are you telling the whole world this. You don’t need to respond to every comment
@@MimiYuYu oh okay
@@MimiYuYu Wow. We know who neglects their parents.
I’m just sick of all of the “what about me-ism”.
Watching a video about soufflé- unbelievable how many comments are like - what if I don’t like eggs?
We don’t need to hear your every thought
This has nothing to do with caring/not caring for your parents. That was nowhere in my comment
"I'm not dressed as Sloth I'm just holding a Baby Ruth" 🤣💀
lol What’s that quote from?
@@PatDaBallsThe movie is called The Goonies
😂😂 Great jab
"Well "Hoda," I think I can explain in terms even a drunk child can understand." This had me howling.
Same 😂
Same!
Little drunk Hoda was everything 😂
The Wolverine kid broke me 😂
“ The wig is fake but the wine is real “ Little Hoda nailed it.😂😂😂😂😂
I was expecting a much better Fran Drescher impression from Sarah Sherman.
The kids were all top notch in their roles.
It’s a caricature, not an impression
The kids were awesome. Sarah Sherman just always plays Sarah Sherman. She just shouts and makes pedophile jokes.
Forreal. There was nothing Fran-like about that performance. Just loud and cringey
@@Kirsten_is_cursed10If it was a caricature you'd think she would have played into the voice more
@Kirsten_is_cursed10 it's a lucky jew barely doing either
I'm in a union, and you have to yell till you're blue in the face to get a good raise! Love this skit!
This is the best Fran Drescher impersonation Sherman could muster? Really? She’s lived on Long Island her entire life!?
I didn’t care for it at all, I found her and the skit super annoying.
hey man, feel free to audition to SNL and do a better impersonation. The world is your oyster man
@@xTerminatorAndy you’re exhibiting the Courtier’s reply, a logical fallacy. I don’t need to know how to do something in order to criticize someone doing it badly.
@@xTerminatorAndy Hey dude, not everyone likes the same kind of comedy, and not everyone thinks the same about actors, comedians, etc. No need to be a douche.
@@cpe1704tks it's just a joke man. Chill
Great sketch. Love that Kit Kat bars analogy.
Come on, Hollywood! Break 'em off a piece of your (record number of) KitKat bars!
Who knew Fran Drescher would turn out to be my labor hero!
If she didnt say she was fran drescher at the beginning i wouldve never known. Terrible impression but the kids were awesome! I hope those kids get more roles from this especially little hoda 😂
Nailed it
she dressed liked the nanny
1:11 - Awesome Sloth reference! He loved his Baby Ruth candy bars!
Goonies never say die!!!
I swear SNL finds the most charismatic child actors.
😟
Better than the real ones. 😅
It's NY They're everywhere.
Have you seen the 'Original Princes of Comedy' skit from Pete Davidson's week?
Broadway is next door
Sarah's jacket is the same one that Brendon Urie wore for the Viva Las Vengeance music videos and for the Panic! at the Disco tour! I can't believe it's on SNL
i love you for knowing this lmao
So glad someone else noticed this! I was so confused as to why she was dressed as Brendon before I realised it was just the same jacket.
IM SO GLAD IM NOT THE ONLY ONE
THANK YOU I'M SO GLAD I WASN'T THE ONLY ONE THAT THOUGHT OF IT
The Fran Drescher impersonator was like if you had to impersonate Fran Drescher after only ever having seen someone on Hollywood Blvd doing an impression. Fran Drescher has like a dozen unique qualities to her voice and mannerisms and the woman playing her nailed about… a quarter of one of those qualities lol.
It was a caricature, not an impersonation.
The Fran Drescher impersonator is Sarah Sherman.
Sarah Sherman just sounds like that, the only difference between herself and this impression is that she isn't dressed like a clown.
@@ontheruntonowherenobody’s watching for a caricature
@@timboslice8559 New rule: Before every comedy bit, the performer must name the relevant genre to facilitate the joke for comedy retards.
The Kit Kat bar analogy was great.
The perfect analogy for the particular group of people who can't understand very complicated concepts such as "we want a bigger share of the profit" and yet can understand union's negotiation strategies when explained with chocolate.
How is that kid's Fran Drescher laugh better than Sarah's?
I adore Sarah but this sketch was a let down. If there isn't in the title I would never guessed who she was impersonating! :-(
If you asked me (without having seen their impressions) who would do a better Fran Drescher on SNL: Sara Sherman or Sophia Vergara, never would I have imagined the correct answer to be Sophia.
True perhaps, except when you consider that Vergara brings it in everything she does. Hugely underrated talent.
That is time I will never get back.
Love the Hoda costume. I really LOL'd
The wine is real!
Child actors did good in this
They managed to strike a balance between funny and socially aware. Thanks SNL!
I hope this isn’t a comedy tread
The kids were so good and cute . Hoda was my favorite one . The wig is fake but the wine is real . 😂
‘Well Hoda, I think I can explain in terms even a drunk child can understand’ is now my new favourite go-to phrase
I didn't even know it was possible to do a bad Fran Drescher impression.
She's horrible in everything I dnt understand
I adore Sarah but this sketch was a let down. If there isn't in the title I would never guessed who she was impersonating! 😞
The little girl had a more convincing Fran Drescher voice.
Fantastic kids, so funny especially Hoda with the wine 😅👍
Fran Drescher as a union boss ROCKS!
Not really
Sarah couldn't imitate Fran as well as the little girl. That was the worst SNL impersonation I've ever seen. Maybe she never saw the Nanny?
Idk, you would have to ask her
Sarah just sounds like that anyway.
I just checked out her standup. Yikes.@@pcbassoon3892
I'm so disappointed becos I love fran
Loved the sketch. Distracted by Sarah Sherman wearing the jacket from the Viva Las Vengeance album cover
*I passed out laughing when little Hoda came on with the wine glass!* 😆😅🤣😄😂🤣😅😂
That Brendon Urie blazer from Viva Las Vengeance though !!!
this was hilarious 😂 also, great to see Sarah back!
When Fran explained the strike in terms of Kit-Kat bars... I felt that. In my soul.
That Fran Drescher impression actually passed for good? That was insanely awful lol
I assume you mean Sarah cuz the kid absolutely crushed that laugh
@T123456788 Oh yeah the kid did just fine, it was the adult that sucked ass..
OMG, I still own that blazer. I took my senior portfolio picture in it in 1993. Complete with black stirrup pants and suede boots. I've been waiting for it to come back....😂
I love Sarah's wink at the camera. So cute. 🤭
I will never be able to erase "I'm Zoheth, son of Ishi, who beget Ben Zoheth" from my mind now
One day, these kids may be SNL cast members.
If SNL even lasts that long
“I think I can explain in terms even a drunk child could understand.”
😂😂😂😂😂
“Every gay guy over 50” she’s not wrong 😂
FACTS!!!!!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This reminds me how much I miss Melissa Villaseñor
Only this, and nothing more
Melissa would have killed the Fran impersonation. This was horrible.
The Zoheth costumes have been absolutely flying off the shelves!
The Hoda bit was amazing!!!
This sketch really shows off Ego Nwodim's incredible reading skills.
5:36 lol cute the way Sarah sprints off set
Sarah does the same voice and accent for every single character.
That’s cause every character seems to be a middle aged Jewish woman from New York 🤷♀️
Zoheth and Hoda tied for 1st, Nanny and lowkey Mario close 2nd lmao!!!
I love Fran.
I hate Fran now because if this strike.
Okay, she did the opposite of nailing Fran's voice, lol
Dude rite it’s so bad
Swing and a miss there at the end. Fran Fine wasn't stupid.
The kids were amazing! The actor playing Fran Drescher was … less than.
The kids especially rocked this!
Was pretty good, seemed like a rip of those old Letterman 'kids in odd outfits' Halloween segments.
That "lil" Hoda was on point, DRUNK AS "PHUK!!"
Majors probs for the writer and custome designer for Hoda! that made me a laugh out loud lmao
Fran Drescher is the Person of the Year!
Magic I say. Yes indeed, the writing, and these AMAZING child actors. Just perfect. My student was Billy Elliot on Broadway and Chicago. What a great time to be a professional actor at 12. This was brilliant. Thanks writers! So glad to have you back.
Theres no way this comment is for real sje sucked
This was a brilliant sketch - the kid actors were great and cool to see Sarah leading another sketch that isn't an Update piece. (though, I also love the Update pieces too!)
"Book Harry Potter" should be wearing a striped T-shirt and jeans (or any other regular clothes) under the robes. The full school uniform only came around for the movies-ironically, Chris Columbus said that's because when they did their first wardrobe tests based on Mary GrandPre's illustrations for the books the kids looked like they were wearing Halloween costumes.
Take off the robes and that's how British children just dress for school, like little businessmen.
I did not except this to be the way SNL addresses the strike, but I'm definitely not complaining. Sarah definitely cracked my butt up tonight with her Fran Drescher impression! She one of best cast members of the entire show! 🤣🤣🤣
She is perhaps the worst and most unfunny. Are you high?
That Woodsman shout out was a deep cut. 😂
It's a good movie!
Perfect jab! 😂
this was a good one.
As the parent of working child actors, I am happy that the majority of these comments are in acknowledgement of the talent of these children. I would just like to note, that MOST working child actors are AT LEAST this talented. It is truly not a RARITY. What is a rare, however, is these young performers getting the respect and recognition that their talents and works are due. I hope that after these strikes are over, the plight of the child actor becomes the next thing brought to the table, because we are still miles away from making it right for them. Also, this was brilliant 🎉
Don’t know how you would know if most of them are not better then anyone else but yeah these kids were good and deserve praise and in general people should be given the respect they deserve.
Fantastic sketch - all the way around! The kids were great, the costumes, the hair + m/u, the set design - super good =)))
Is it me, or do modern SNL actors look offscreen at the cue cards way more often than the older ones?
The children were all amazing❤
That was such an informative sketch!
2:28 I finally understand “TONGUE IN CHEEK”
The kids in this sketch were great! I hope they got ALL the KitKat bars after the show!
That little girl at the end with the Nanny laugh was perfect. 😂
these kids are killing it
Well that's a weird attack on unions
The kids were awesome - especially book version Harry Potter and little Hoda lol
Best sketch I’ve seen in a very long time. 🏆
After all the hilarious sketches, it was good to have an intermission.
In general Sarah reminds me of Margot Robbie's portrayal of Harley Quinn and I love it.
What a clever way to promote an important message to parents and theirs kids!!!!
Ahhh!! When she said you got a lot of nerve dressed up as Sloth from the Goonies lol
Sherman sounds like she's doing Margot Robbie's American accent.
