My dad passed away in 2012. He used to tell me about the times he would speak to Lindsay at Parliament House and that Lindsay would invite him to come and see the cars. He had every intention of coming to see the cars but never got the chance. Today, I feel like I got to experience what my dad never got to. The best part of this was Lindsay's words of wisdom. Thank you so much for sharing this.
This is like a chat with my grandfather, what an inspiration. How lucky are we to hear from this great man, irrespective of his success.
what a great person ,your a lucky lady ,i can see the fox blood line.i hope he lives to 100 at least.
An amazing interview.
If only more people lived their lives like this man has the world would be a better place.
Thank you Lindsay for allowing us to see these type of cars in a great location.
Weird thing to say
@@thecoolestkidinkalkallo9621 why ? He has spent his money and could store them away and not show them but he has built the collection and shows them to raise money for charity... Your clearly not the coolest kid but I hope you understand what Lindsay has done and is doing for the community.
Thanks for this rare opportunity to hear from a very impressive Australian, and well done by the interviewer. I might add that recently my son and I were fortunate to have a chance meeting with Eric. He was very generous in spending time showing us over his own 26 Morris Cowley roadster. Regret not thinking to take a photo! Thanks Eric for a much treasured opportunity to understand what my late dad’s experience was like with his own 26 bullnose Morris Oxford. Anyway, the collection is clearly in good hands with an enthusiast like Eric.
A bit of a legend, love listening to him talk about the cars as he clearly loves them. Good to hear he is getting a Project One, mine arrives in June
You are a bloody ripper Lindsay,we need more like you in this country,Thankyou.
Thank you Mr Fox for creating such a wonderfull museum and keeping a time capsule for future generations to see .
Also for being so generous with your time here and sharing your collection with us . . .
👋NZ🇳🇿🍻twa
Great interview, Lindsay is a great Australian. Thank you for contributions to Australian society. I hope i get to meet the man one day.
Captivating insight and life experiences by Lindsay. Absolutely refeshing to hear him speak. Thank you!
A generation where they just bloody well got on with it! Great interview!
Brilliant advice from this very wise man, about life and business. I think his advise is just as valuable if not more than the car collection. Worth watching a few times.
Amazing interview great job, I had to go see his cars last weekend
A very interesting video and insight into Linsday Fox and his life. A great collection of cars that help in generating funds for the various charities.Thankyou.
Amazing man who has an amazing collection.
Keep enjoying Mr Fox!
This interview is beyond cars. What an inspiring and wise man!
Good on you MR Fox.
I've met you in my early youth in Melbourne 3 times.
Can I say , your an Australian Icon, a true Mans Man, a generous Man and most of all passionate about what ever you have taken on Mr Fox, and very proud to have met you several times chatting with you.
Thank You and very much appreciate you beautiful collection of Motor Vehicles.
My Father bought me up in the Motoring Industry in Victoria and I learnt to appreciate the Automobile Industry which i've stuck with now at 54 years of age.
Thank you MR Fox.
Mr Fox, Do you have any Australian Genuine Icons like GT Falcons in your collection ?
Wow what an interview. Such a true blue bloody good bloke.
I have never really seen an interview of Lyndsay, it was fascinating to here about his life. Great interview.
You are a good human being, Mr. Fox 😊
Really enjoyed this, hugely inspirational. We will be displaying and implementing a few of these quotes. Well done Lindsay & the team.
What a beautiful man. Any wonder he’s so successful- he has a great take on life. Well done to the interviewer. I enjoyed this.
A wonderful story. A great Australian. All good wishes Lindsay.
John Hunter.
A Great man with a great collection. And what a fantastic take on life.
Excellent interview-well done Mr Fox 👍
visit to the museum with the highlight of my trip to Melbourne. especially finally seening a 288GTO.
Ahhhrr mister fox. Thanks for the trucking industry you helped create. Is now one the highest trucking companies in Australia woth over 400 trucks. Great collection but its the trucks for me. Thats where he made his money. Competimg with people like my grandmother of Thompson brothers transport. Legend
When I was a kid my family stayed at one of his mansions for a week. We had the run of the place, including some cars, but we weren't allowed to drive the red ones!
Good to see the 928 in the background. What a car
Great interview, I’d love to sink a few beers with him , a wealth of knowledge. An Aussie icon . Also is it true he has a truck collection in Avalon ?
I came here a bit over a month ago and it was a great experience
Legendary Talk by A Top Man
I wish Lindsay lived next door to me.
What and inspirational person!
great chat i wish you showed more of the cars
Icon of business and a great man … but don’t upset him ok
Go Lindsay, good values.
Legend and amazing business man,
wish I could have could have bumped into Mr Fox when I was growing up in Melbourne and got his advice...
"You can't do wrong doing right." - Lindsay Fox
The interviewer - so robotic. No conversational flow just Q & A. Lindsay deserves more....
Amazing 💯🇦🇺
What a man✊🏼
He will be remembered as a Dan Andrews friend and enabler
pathetic
In 2003, I was working through a labour hire agency in Perth at a distribution centre in Perth . Luckily I was only there a week before another opening became available elsewhere.
There was a fella working there ( a family man and good worker ) that was a casual and he'd been there nearly 4 years , and hadn't had a day's paid holiday or sick day paid.
A month later on Channel 9 Peter Stefanovic was interviewing LF about his car collection with a row of Rolls Royce motorcars stretching into the background. I buy a new one and park it up after a year and buy another new one. This year, I bought Mercedes Maybach . Then proceeded to show around the car . This sunroof was a $60,000 extra , it can be clear , opaque, midnight and at the flick of a switch, it lights up as stars of the Southern Constellation.
Well Fucken well done m8 . Blew 60 large and some poor bastard can't even get permanent employment or a paid day's holiday , but he's good enough to work for you for 4 years . Greed is one of the seven deadly sins , and God's watching you . 🙏
Socialism is perpetual childhood. Lindsay focused on his responsibilities, NOT his rights. The latter is for leftwing jobsmiths. They don't believe in themselves, only what benefits an employer can dole out. This is why sexual & racial minorities work in the Public Service in disproportionately large numbers in Australia.
Just remember that a casual gets more pay than a full or part time worker to make up for the lack of holiday or sick pay
@user-ub3sb1sw4l I'm well aware of the benefits and pitfalls of casual employment. Think about the simple facts of it being nigh on impossible to get a mortgage, and any loan that you might get would carry a higher interest rate.
I admire self-made millionaires, but not if they have exploited the Aussie battler to get rich. What use is that $60,000 sunroof now ? Think of the good that money could have achieved if put to better uses .
Australias Jay Leno
Bloody champion bloke I recon 👍
wow 2 or 3 years ,he is a realists
THANKS LINDSAY YOUR STORY ABOUT THE STRANGERS IN YOUR LOUNGE MADE ME CRY BECAUSE MY PARENTS WERE THE SAME IM THE SAME ANC BOUGHT HOYSES FOR PEOPLE I ONLY KNEW FOR THREE MONTHS . COULD I COMD AND WORK FOR YOU PLEASE BECAUSE OF YOUR OLD FASHION HONESTY .
I think the interviewer did a decent job given it’s probably not something she does that often. Is she part of the Fox family?
I think she is related to him.
Great Man
Even played for Saint Kilda.
One day you will own nothing and be happy.
A couple of years ago I offered this museum to buy my 1986 Ferrari Testarossa in Rosso Corsa with 27k original miles and they knocked me back. I never even got as far as an asking price, I must say I was really surprised considering it was called Ferrari 's first Super Car.
He most likely already owned one.
@@Gregsheppo66 or more.
He did have one, i saw it in his collection about 15 years ago
@@Gregsheppo66 You aren't Greg Sheppard who used to live in Forest Hill by chance ?
No mate. I live in Sydney.
Incredible story 👏
I'm sure his massive purchases of Mercedes Trucks gave him bargaining power and priority when it came to some of those modern Mercedes sports models.
Adamson Auto body (Darryl & Mick) they are in the middle of restoring a Torana and I have been invested in their channel talking cars
Lindsay seems very similar to what they talk about for their passion for cars and trucks
The interviewer is awful.
I met Lindsey once.
Turned up for a meeting in a combi van.
No joke.
Then left in a helicopter.
One of a kind.
Amazing story how he started linfox with 1 truck to what it is today plus his accumulated wealth and assets its mindblowing take my hat off to this fella 🙌
Wow this interview is awkward.
Yeah wasn't the most natural but nevermind
Better than nothing
Like the Australian Break dancer ……
Houses for people , bus for the church , computers for the poor ect ect ect
There was only one 911 Dakar per dealership and Fox got that one from Melbourne Porsche over a guy who wanted to drive it around Australia raising money for Cancer charity. It was and remains a shameful decision
Mr Fox can you please reach out to Bruce and Brendan of Copy southbound to tell your full story in road transport and logistics? Would be awesome to hear and Brendan and Bruce are great fellas!
he is trying to be a Jay Leno
I wonder how much money he's wasted rebranding his business? First it was Linfox Transport, then Linfox Integrated Logistics, now it's Linfox Supply Chain Solutions.
I can't wait for "Linfox Integrated Logistical Supply Chain Evolutions".
If he loves cars , why does he charge so much for them to race at Phillip Island
What the hell was that? Honey, if you're going to advertise a classic car collection, you'd better spend some time actually showing cars
Hey Lindsay I’m am the son of Kevin White
Any thing you want to donate to our family especially holdens as you know dad was a Holden man.
Would be loved by his family.
As you know he has been gone for a few years now.
Thought you would walk around and show the cars not just sit there and talk about them
He's NOT a sleazy asshole, unlike Bob Jane (dead thankfully) who Lindsay would've bought a few cars from.
Terrible.
Is it cold down there or something? 😊
You cant do wrong doing right, i love that. Im going to roll that out with my team tomorrow. 🫡
