Guidelines for the Use of Doxycycline Post Exposure Prophylaxis for Bacterial STI Prevention

CDC is requesting public input on the agency’s draft guidelines on the use of doxycycline as STI post-exposure prophylaxis (Doxy PEP) as an additional STI prevention strategy to gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men, and transgender women who have a history of at least one bacterial STI (i.e., chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis) in the last 12 months AND are at ongoing risk for getting bacterial STIs.
