Man I used to grab 20 dollar blasters 10 years ago it was much funner and enjoyable and didn't break the bank if u got a dud but they were a lot better back then, was grabbing giannis rc prestige for 20 bucks, hobby will never be the same

I'm almost done with the hobby. This is where we are now. Last year I could get a return on my investment. This year it's not happening. Not even close. The companies are playing games with us, with the prices, and with the distribution of hits. So over this. I get a better ROI from Magic the Gathering cards and that's just sad.
it’s tough i definitely planning on making a transition to more singles.
I enjoy watching people open packs...watch someone else gamble but I don't buy anymore. It's always been a loss for me so it just doesn't make any sense at all.
@livelycardcollector It's needed. The more who buy just singles drive the larger capital to open more to sell the singles.

If you haven’t already, grab the series 2 mega/monster box. They are so underrated especially if you get it at Barnes with a discount. There is basically guaranteed a hit (auto/mem/nice#ed). I have ripped 3 and got a tatis foil board /5, Jordan lawlar auto and a relic
And you can potentially get some nice high numbered like Yamamoto /799 or shota /999 etc. I’ve been getting 3-4 numbered per box

I like the profit/loss videos. I’ve been been watching Degen do them for a while a d Doogie just started to do them. I feel you need to be ultra organized and I’m not😂. I have been thinking of doing it with one of those Fairfield boxes they sell at Target.
I always think of Field of Dreams when you say Terrence Mann, James Earl Jones.
For $40, they should have a few more packs in there. I’ve noticed a lot of repeats with a base and a parallel.

Good breakdown to come to the conclusion that these higher end card products are at least 400% overpriced, and that if you had wanted to double your money, you would have had to pay only $16 for everything instead of $188. Man.

nah i just know what days he restocks. sometimes i hit sometimes i don’t. iVe been doing this for a long time you learn patterns that help you out.
most targets in Socal are on Thursday restock and you got to know which targets too cus not all get the love from the card guy restocking

I'm in the Inland Empire and like retail too. I haven't been able to find any of the Optic Football here at any of the Walmarts or Target where I'm at. I'm about an hour from the nearest Barnes and Noble.

The way retail is going these days with the print run. It is really hard to find a hit. But it is still one of the few ways cheap ways to be part of the hobby. I’d say you didn’t do that bad. RGL always says, be prepared to get 20% in every rip. I am with you on Topps S2 2024, I didn’t open a lot. I felt S2 biggest chase was Wemby and CJ. Nice card if you can hit it. But not much else in the product. I saw you had to give credit for the $200 retail challenge, it was nice but not necessary in my opinion. As always fun rip. 🎉
