I just noticed in the cabinet Riley was putting the doors on the bottom support is blocking one of your outlet plugs. But you guys can always put lights in your cabinet that automatically comes on when you open the doors.
When staining wood , it’s best to use wood conditioner first so that you get a more even stain especially the edges verses the flat sides, the short edges always look darker so , yeah you’ll see what I mean , I suppose you already know keep the glue off any surface you want to stain or it will look mottled !
If your shop is that damp you may want to put in some drainage tiles in the dirt of your shop floor with a vapor barrier on top B4 you pour your cement otherwise your floor will always be damp

There's just something special about that gritty feeling on your teeth after a lot of grinding. It may be the greatest incentive to becoming a better welder. I'm still stuck with being a better grinder than a great welder.
This is awesome! Thanks for sharing helpful information. We will share this with our customers for sure. We sell land in rural areas and this will help generate some great ideas. Thanks for creating this!
Culverts best for downhill runs, you may be playing with French drains this Spring . Been there , ah the joys of off grid or buying someone else’s mistakes. Levels become your best friend. Always takes at least a year to find mistakes in new or old houses. Then there are the surprises 🤬.One tiny draft meets interior stink pipe/vent pipe can allow an entire house to lose ability to flush toilet or drain water at -40\* F until Spring thaw. You haven’t lived until you’ve dug a moat surrounding a log cabin @-20* F and sandbagged to prevent more damage in garage beneath log cabin. Fun, fun, fun.
Yahoo, 159 now!! Once you have a toilet and shower it will take the edge off so much. Put up a plastic sheet with magnets in the garage, clean work area! Stick on bottom to roll up when not needed. Great how you work together and the building options. I would still add a simple railing on the wall for the stairs. You get off balance once and have nothing to grab you will be happy.
at 7:06 that is really a coolant catch pan. yes it can be used for oil but was meant for coolant. careful when pouring because fluid catches in the lip if you pour too fast. aren't you glad you do not live in suburbia? life in the woods is so much more fun. for drainage down your road, consider a ditch and a large drain pipe down one side of your road. maybe one long flexible french drain style drain. just my thoughts. I have a motto. he who dies with the most wood clamps wins. one project I did I must have had thirty clamps to hold a large piece. awesome. thanks for the video.
When using hand drill, apply pressure using heel of other hand against back of motor housing, directly in line with bit. Otherwise, hand on grip will cause lateral loading of bit, bending and eventually breaking it. (This is especially important with small bits, in hard materials.)
My wife and I spent 3 years in Saudi Arabia in the 1980's, and 5 years in the 1990's living and cruising the Caribbean. We quickly learned that if you see something you need or might need in the future again, buy it. You may never see it again. We once found a store that had one white and one black shoelace. We bought and used them both on a single pair of shoes. When the shoes died we rescued the laces as a memento. We still have them and every time I see them, I get a shiver. We felt so lucky.
I used thousands of the European hinges on commercial cabinets back 25 years or so ago. I had a guy working for me that complained about putting all of those pocket holes exactly 5" from the edge. He understood when right at the end of the assembly he put handles on a 6 door base unit on the bottom instead of the top. Then I showed him why every hole was 5" from the end as I unclipped the doors, flipped them, and snapped back into the frame. He then understood why I was so wired all the time. Those two years as a shop manager was indeed an education. Thanks for the memory.
Looks awesome. I love the marriage of steel and wood. Will it rust in the bathroom? And what about the double power outlet in the cupboard... lol. I had the same happen to me when I bought this huge buffet. It was just too beautiful, with leadlight glass doors, and big and really good value. A wall plug ended up just 5 cm behind it. I didn't care, I had to have that buffet. Had to cut a hole in the back of the buffet for the wall socket, so the buffet would be flush against the wall. Now I turn the spa "on", reaching into the bottom door of the buffet. Oh well! No one knows except me, AND it's one less unsightly wall socket to see.
You need to drain that 'pond' that forms when it rains. To keep the water running on down the hill. And the best time to tackle that is while the 'pond' is still there.
Try turning your pipe clamps upside down to let them rest on your flat surface, then put your wood on top the clamps vs the way you're doing it. It will give you more control over your clamps and wood piece. Just a thought to help you guys make things easier. Y'all take care and keep on keeping on!!
Hi Anton, we were posting videos twice a week, Wednesdays and Sundays. We're switching to one a week, posted every Sunday. The pace was really difficult to keep up with on our end. Thanks for the support and thanks for watching!
Do mark the spots where your property collects water? Our last property was relatively flat and we had major water issues, spots that we couldn’t see unless it was wet (flooded). So, we decided to mark the trouble spots so we could deal with them when it was dry.
Very cool design for your bathroom cabinets. My father used to build kitchen cabinets as a side business before he passed away. One thing he used to do when joining two or more boards for cabinet panels was to use dowls and then glue and clamp them. But he may have done that because the humidity down in Louisiana is so high. I live in the Denver metro area and the humidity is normally pretty low. He built the kitchen cabinets and an "L" shaped bar/counter top for me. He said if he had built them for anyone else it would have been over $8,000. The same company that makes your Kreg jig you used for your hinges I think they make a jig specifically for drilling holes for dowls. Using dowls makes the joint between boads much stronger.
The lesson is, buy an HVLP spray gun, and buy your paint by the quart/gallon, and mix up a small amount whenever you need it. The cleanup isn't bad at all, if you use the the 3M PPS system (and if you're using a single-part paint, you can even store the unused paint in a PPS liner for a reasonably long amount of time.. Just keep one full of solvent as well, and run a bit through to clear the gun out when you're done using it to keep the gun clean. And in the future, you can always use the paint codes to get more paint mixed up if, for some reason, a particular manufacturer of that paint discontinues that specific color! But also, I guess the lesson is, buy more spray paint than you think you'll need. :)
Need to install the elevator or when you get old make that climb stairs and do not forget large patio deck what's a hot tub I truly like watching TH-cam work take care and God bless
I think you Americans are very funny ( in a good way) , the house is made of wood and the closet is made of metal :D. In my country the buildings are mostly made of masonry, and the few wooden buildings are very different, very cool. I LOVE YOU. always stay firm !!!
Riley it’s simply fascinating that you are bending drill bits and I’ve yet to bend one . I’ve always broke them , and have to go to Mc Coy’s and buy 3 or 4 of them to be sure I have enough. Cabinets look fantastic, y’all keep up the great work, be safe and good.
Young man I take my hat off to you..your welding demonstrates your craftsman side which I know is how you approach virtually everything.. at first I had doubts whether you would pull it off but now I Know You Will with the Mrs backing you up..Good team, good luck, you deserve success..
Nice job on those cabinets you two work so well together, every time I watch you make something you come up with some new tool like the jig for those cabinet hinges.got the cutter but no jig have to look on the internet here in the uk.
I think it is a good idea for making a pun to gather rain and snow water for your summer.
At least you know where you need to raise the road to solve your mud pit problems……..take a lot of pics now everything looks the same in the summer 😎
When using a router always do end grain first to minimize tear out.
I grind with one eye open. There's some song that follows that....
i'm happy see your progress
what beautiful work you two do as a team.
Wow.....love them!
Need to quarry some stone to raise your road and cover another culvert at the pond.
Stone/gravel != mud
I just noticed in the cabinet Riley was putting the doors on the bottom support is blocking one of your outlet plugs.

Awesome stain color !!!
Looks great .may need a third hinge on the longer doors to stop warping .but the finish is amazing
Those turned out sharp.
Thanks, the vanity and shelves turned out top notch.
Beautiful shelving guys!

Somebody send Riley some decent drill bits already! Cabinets turned out great though, nice work!
You both have a great eye for style and the skills to make it a reality. Very impressed with the vanity and cabinet!
Looks Great! Ron PTL USA

Thanks Scott!
I like the way you staggered the finger pulls !
Fantastic Cabinet’s
When clamping wood, consider using the clamp to hold the pieces true.
Leaving a space between the clamp bar and the piece allows for cupping.

Awesome
Awesome looks great guys
Cool
Bathroom cabinets look beautiful!
If you put clamps on both sides it really helps from the boards cupping also
Riley is freaking me out using his bare hand with that table saw!
Nice work 👍
Nice!
Beautiful!
Very impressive.

I love watching you work together.

😂

Reilly the "Fabricator" Awesome skills thanks for sharing this weeks project.
Looks great guys...! Nice job all the way around...! 👍👍 - Close call with the ⚡lightning⚡ too btw Riley... Yikes...! Good call Courtney...!

I liked the short and often videos as opposed to the rare ones. Don't fix what is not broken and proven.
Hi Anton, we were posting videos twice a week, Wednesdays and Sundays. We're switching to one a week, posted every Sunday. The pace was really difficult to keep up with on our end. Thanks for the support and thanks for watching!
If it was me I might have taken advantage of the rain and run the camper outside to give it a bit of a wash.
I think Riley NEEDs glasses like from a Doctor! Safety first!
Awesome 😎 for sure ...I loved it...makes it so unique and elegant🤗
Nice job looks great. I am A 60 year old machinist I have drilled thousands of holes. Never seen A drill so cheap that it bends.
i am blown away at how great that came out
When you do longer videos, it's so much better

Marking them is a great idea!
Congratulations. You're tint on the wood was very good. Young couples too often use a tint that's too dark. BRAVO!
Very good result! Your sink is the exact same design as mine (I'm in Italy) :D
Wow!! Such a great job!! I don’t know about Y’all but I’m exhausted just watching !! Enjoy the new build 👍
Amazing Teamwork from concept to completion! Well done.
Thanks Jay!
Time to start building up an inventory of shop supplies. When you need one can of spray paint, buy 6.

Always use the proper technical terms for your tools, such as 'Do-hicky,' 'thingamabob,' and 'whatchamacallit.' Everything else is a hammer.
😂
The flashpoint for the prime bond between wood and metal only lasts for a .001 of a second. Nice try though! LMAO Everything is looking great!
Need to install the elevator or when you get old make that climb stairs and do not forget large patio deck what's a hot tub I truly like watching TH-cam work take care and God bless
Nice job I like the metal wood combo
I think you Americans are very funny ( in a good way) , the house is made of wood and the closet is made of metal :D.

Riley Cam!! Ha ha. Thanks.
A flooded road just means we’re all going to learn how to build a bridge.
My wife thinks it ought to be a Covered Bridge
Is there nothing you two can't do?
The cabinet and vanity look so good, professional finish.
What a team :-)
The best of the best, what a pair!
You guys have more snow than we do and we live in Alaska.
