Drawing out the ambient strains of the original, Global Communication founder Tom Middleton has reworked Dusky’s ’Skin Deep’ and brought back the Global Communication name for the first time since 1997.
With their critically acclaimed ’76:14’ LP in 1993, Global Communication (Tom Middleton and Mark Pritchard) were responsible for one of the most iconic works of ‘90s ambient and electronica - sitting alongside records like The Orb’s ‘Adventures Beyond The Underworld’ , Future Sound of London’s ‘Lifeforms’ and ‘Selected Ambient Works 85 - 92’ by old friend and occasional collaborator of Middleton, Aphex Twin.
Resurrecting the moniker in style with a hint of new original material to come, GC founder Tom Middleton has turned in an epic blend of classic 90’s jungle, ambient and IDM elements that unravels all the ambient textures and melodic depth of Dusky’s original into 8:08 seconds of nostalgic bliss.

this came on while i had my iPhone on shuffle in the gym the other day. i already knew i loved it but hadn't physically put it on for a while.... i had to just stand and listen, in the middle of a public gym, looking like a weirdo..... it was - and will always be - worth it..... incredible piece of music, electronic or otherwise!!!
Just found dusky this year during the most painful transition of my life. How I survived without them this long .. or until now I don't know .. I love this comment. Your comment. This track needed your full attention regardless of being at the gym. Dusky owns pieces of my soul.

Agreed as much as I love dusky tracks, I find all their sets have parts that simply don’t grab me then other parts will be the best thing I’ve ever heard. I guess the spectrum of their music is really wide.
