A lot of Light Show hobbyists need to secure props like mega trees, driveway arches, candy canes, pixel stakes, and other light show items in their yards. Rebar is the material of choice since it is durable and weathers well.
Most people want to use 2 / 4 foot sections and they can buy that precut from the big box stores... However, a 10 foot section of rebar is WAY cheaper than buying it precut.
In this video, I'll cover different ways to cut rebar and about an alternative called PinkBar that has some advantages and disadvantages over rebar.

Thank you!
Thank you for the tips brother. I personally prefer an angle grinder with a steel cutting wheel. When using one make sure not to cut all the way through as you don’t want to risk any twisting of the disk while running the tool
Cool information
Thanks! If I could save somebody money by buying the right tool from the start... then it's worth passing along
Thanks for the tips!
The True-value store near us used to have a rebar cutter out in the yard. You just place the rebar in and press down the long lever and it snips it off, takes no time at all (human powered). Hardware stores don't seem to have things like that any more, probably too much liability.
Man, that would be so nice to have. You're probably right that it's a liability thing. Also, I think if they made it that easy to cut rebar, they wouldn't have the 10 ft only 10¢ more than the 4ft 😁
Can you bend pinkbar?
I haven't tried, but I believe it will snap before it bends... It's essentially compressed fiberglass and I think it would behave like a glass bar
Hehe dremel
