Functional Lego Titanic Engine

This is my custom built Lego ship engine based on the Titanic. This type of engine is called a triple expansion steam engine. It functions just like the real thing. Even the rpm is accurate. It can be operated manually or with a motor. The rpm essentially the same with or without the motor which is even better. I studied these types of engines for a long time. I studied the the structure and mechanism of the Titanic's engines for many weeks. It took me many weeks to figure out how to put this together. It all started off with a single piston. I eventually figured out how all of the moving parts work. This wasn't the first time that I thought about building something like this. I thought about this years ago after seeing James Cameron's film. I watched Titanic more than any other movie in my life. I never thought that I would be able to build a fully functional steam engine. I began this project in August 2022. I made this engine fully functional by October. I soon began customizing the colors. As of the summer of 2023 I've made no further changes to the aesthetics of this engine.
