The charge time is not merely the amp hours of the battery divided by the max charge rate. The thing with lithium batteries is they charge very efficiently up until about 75% and drop off very rapidly. When the charge hits about 75%, it will drop off dramatically.

I guess that's the difference between rural Indiana and L.A., though. We also don't have 'Skid Row' and the big hair, so I guess that costs extra. 😆 I wanna buy an ebike, but don't know anything about them. Every time I see one I think, _"Yeah, that's the one I want."_ Then I see something totally different and that's my new favorite.
A single person living in a city with nice weather could practically replace their car and save a ton of money: the average total cost for operating a car monthly is between $600 and 800.00 (payment, gas, insurance, maintenance and registration)
what a shame - Im 6'4" and I see clown car when I see a 20" tire - and to see you on it? well my "opinion" stands, [ I thought it might just be me.] Ive seen little 5'4" guy ride it on 20" tires and they look fine going down a straight paved street. I notice they are careful not to pedal on a turn [my guess is the pedal strike has taught them ;) ] needs at least a 24", my choice is the 26" as I dont ride streets too often. theres rocks, ruts, tree limbs n other obstacles to strike dem pedals on. there is the clearance issues too. also that derailleur needs a little more clearance off the pavement. sure like those hub wheels! looks cool and yeah Ive done spokes a few times. that battery placement & size! very nice! bummer I was hoping it would climb that hill - gee what a let down, a bit disappointing, but it do go fast. [thats the popular choice tho - speed is the winner] me(?) I wanna go up a hill and keep on going. :) bummer as Ive been watching those ebikes & wanting to get one, buut the search continues for me for folks wanting to go fast? its the winner :) and a nice step thru design! and AWD!?! sure wished better of it. Two motors will have better range when riding only has intermittent need for the power of both motors. But constantly running both motors, especially at full power, will not give better range.
I nearly bought a Wallke. I think they make some interesting bikes. Ended up with a goat bike instead, but in a world where they did not exist I may have gotten the Wallke.

@@YhYh-ln6vz yeah with the goat bikes it's highly advisable to get the second battery because as you stated you could drain it in less than 30 minutes riding fast. They have refreshed billy goat recently to upgrade the main battery to 25ah with an optional second 20ah battery pack so in total that's 2700wh.
I think the walkie is better than the Anoki, the Anoki seems to come damage all the time and not have all the parts for it, keep going, love the way you narrate lotta, funny stuff!😅
I made 70km (43 mile trip) on my escooter before I got an ebike. Single motor could not make the trip and I had to walk the last 10km but with dual motors I had battery left after the trip. I tried to keep constant speed as much as possible, could be very different if there was lot of accelerating. I think it might be the motors are more efficient at half load.
i see they still havent fix the controller air flow i have one of there bikes (h6 max) over hearted twice got it replaced twice i am going threw a lot with them bad custermest support
That phone holder is crazy, hit up quad lock to see if ya can get a video sponsored! Even if you dont get the sponsor you should still buy one! Also the vibration will kill your phone’s camera eventually. I dont have the vibration dampener on mine but dont use the camera much.
The first row of check-offs (make a poster-board on the wall!) NEEDS to be: #1)52T or larger chainring. #2) 180mm or larger rotors. #3) rear-deck is strong and also gets suspension. #4 ) bmx-strength or bmx handlebars. #5 ) very-high-rated batteries. #6) Step-thru. #7) folding... not necessarily in this order. But the 48T is BAD marketing, same for 160mm and rear-deck-hard-tailer. 203mm rotors = Great !!! and a few others are done !!! well. No folding is OK for best structural safety I suppose. Oscillation needs to be checked and ruled out by tire selection, and shock selection.
They do say battery is UL certified, but is it possible to verify it? Recently there was a video of different battery exploding in elevator killing a person.

The range is good! What a joke though, if it can't pull a decent incline, it is not worth nothing! Still very impressive, just know you're going to pedal up the steep hills!

The furthest he goes with criticism is things like the chain rubbing against the tire out of the box or the derailleur guard being bent lol.
Does the Walke have regen breaking? It may be fun for you (or your friendly mechanic) to lock (weld) the clutch (check out Grin Technologies videos for a how-to) and test out regen.

But I initially watched one of your older videos recently reposted. I came back to give you a compliment on it and stumbled upon this. You'd think I'd never be caught off guard after seeing so many things over the years. And apparently I'm still naive as ever because by now I'd expect if anything these lovers ask for your autograph or maybe a selfie with you. And had I not watched this I likely never realize that's exactly what these clowns are. Sorry you still are treated like this even if it's rare. And it better be. I know this isn't on the regular but still too often. But something to think about. How might this have went with somebody less experienced than you? Maybe a stupid question on my part, but with two motors how are the wheels synchronized so they turn at the same RPM? If the front or rear wheels rotate at differing RPMS, wouldn't that slow you down/stress a motor?
It would be cool to add traction control to it so that it senses the loss of traction in the front and pulls back just a bit on power sent up front to help maintain steering. Like anti-lock braking in reverse.
It’s a nice bike BUT! A big problem no one talks about is that there aren’t any bike racks that you can but in a trailer hitch on a car, van, suv that can carry suck a heavy beast! They get real expensive once you have to buy a motorcycle rack. Even with the bike batteries removed.
That’s actually not true, check out the Hollywood rack, I haven’t linked in my description box near the bottom. I have transported an electric bike on two separate occasions from Los Angeles to Seattle with it and had no problems.

This is maximum 80 pounds per bike and if you have these bikes that are in the 90s without the battery, then you are technically pushing the limits. Probably OK but they aren’t that common. I also have a great bike rack by Towever that is very solid. Another issue is the footprint of the bike, like the wired freedom, is pretty long and does not fit on most racks either. 😊
@@rvboondocker2559It's more a limitation on how bike racks attach to a vehicle. It's hard to make a bike rack that universally fits on most vehicles since they are all different shapes and at best you can make something that generically fits with straps or wedges into trunk areas. If you want something built strong and won't be in issue you will sadly have to make friends with someone who can fabricate a bike rack specifically for your vehicle to support the weight on the bike.
I briefly considered getting the Wallke H7 single motor before. But I have a bad back that likes to give me problems every now and then, so I think it'll be necessary to have full suspension on my ebike that I get as a car replacement soon. And the latest version of the Wired bikes have full suspension on all models and dual batteries too. And that's default for the same price it had before. And it seems they've done several revisions of their bikes in the past couple years to improve based on customer feedback. So that makes me more confident in their future as a company too.
what kind of upgrade/replacement can you suggest for dyisland brakes? i'm 120 miles in, and i LOVE this bike ... EXCEPT my rear brake is already busted. i started from the top of kanan road, and going west towards ventura on a trip, back brakes went out on west potrero... i kept going to the beach and i've been kind of stranded here over the long weekend. nearby bike shop sold me a shimano brake that was the wrong size... and turned out to NOT even be an ebike brake and wants DOUBLE the money to work on my bike because it's an ebike... not happening... but i gotta do something... any suggestions? thanks PS dyisland is the opposite of disneyland
You either need a better seat or better posture. 30 miles isn't even that far, I use to do that on a normal bike as a daily ride. With my e-bike that is absolutely easy.
Was looking for a decent folding ebike for the northern winters here. Was bouncing between the Wallke A3 Pro and the dual motor TT ebike. Or if anyone has other suggestions that would be much appreciated.

The furthest he goes with criticism is things like the chain rubbing against the tire out of the box or the derailleur guard being bent lol.

Does the Walke have regen breaking? It may be fun for you (or your friendly mechanic) to lock (weld) the clutch (check out Grin Technologies videos for a how-to) and test out regen.

Tony I'm shocked this can still happen to you after all these years. They are non desirous? I think it's the police who became non desirous after you deflated their egos. But I initially watched one of your older videos recently reposted. I came back to give you a compliment on it and stumbled upon this. You'd think I'd never be caught off guard after seeing so many things over the years. And apparently I'm still naive as ever because by now I'd expect if anything these lovers ask for your autograph or maybe a selfie with you. And had I not watched this I likely never realize that's exactly what these clowns are. Sorry you still are treated like this even if it's rare. And it better be. I know this isn't on the regular but still too often. But something to think about. How might this have went with somebody less experienced than you? Or what if it was some of the more violent guys from LASD at night. It's incredible to think in 2024 my friend Tony could be beat or killed while on his way to work where he earns an honest living and bothers nobody. I meant to come by and say jello a couple times recently because it's been too long. I was struggling with my health for a while but feel very fortunate recently back on the streets riding again. And its heart breaking for me to think all my hard work was for nothing. Has anything changed? At best some might act different in front of me? Anyway Tony just wanted to say hello. How does this compare to A8 pro max (single motor) ?
Maybe a stupid question on my part, but with two motors how are the wheels synchronized so they turn at the same RPM? If the front or rear wheels rotate at differing RPMS, wouldn't that slow you down/stress a motor?
The ground synchronizes the wheel speed. Otherwise, they are independent and have no effect on each other.
It would be cool to add traction control to it so that it senses the loss of traction in the front and pulls back just a bit on power sent up front to help maintain steering. Like anti-lock braking in reverse.
It’s a nice bike BUT! A big problem no one talks about is that there aren’t any bike racks that you can but in a trailer hitch on a car, van, suv that can carry suck a heavy beast! They get real expensive once you have to buy a motorcycle rack. Even with the bike batteries removed.
That’s actually not true, check out the Hollywood rack, I haven’t linked in my description box near the bottom. I have transported an electric bike on two separate occasions from Los Angeles to Seattle with it and had no problems.
@@TailHappyTV Actually, you are supporting what I’m saying. This is maximum 80 pounds per bike and if you have these bikes that are in the 90s without the battery, then you are technically pushing the limits. Probably OK but they aren’t that common. I also have a great bike rack by Towever that is very solid. Another issue is the footprint of the bike, like the wired freedom, is pretty long and does not fit on most racks either. 😊
@@rvboondocker2559It's more a limitation on how bike racks attach to a vehicle. It's hard to make a bike rack that universally fits on most vehicles since they are all different shapes and at best you can make something that generically fits with straps or wedges into trunk areas.
If you want something built strong and won't be in issue you will sadly have to make friends with someone who can fabricate a bike rack specifically for your vehicle to support the weight on the bike.

I briefly considered getting the Wallke H7 single motor before. But I have a bad back that likes to give me problems every now and then, so I think it'll be necessary to have full suspension on my ebike that I get as a car replacement soon. And the latest version of the Wired bikes have full suspension on all models and dual batteries too. And that's default for the same price it had before. And it seems they've done several revisions of their bikes in the past couple years to improve based on customer feedback. So that makes me more confident in their future as a company too.

EXCEPT my rear brake is already busted. i started from the top of kanan road, and going west towards ventura on a trip, back brakes went out on west potrero... i kept going to the beach and i've been kind of stranded here over the long weekend.
nearby bike shop sold me a shimano brake that was the wrong size... and turned out to NOT even be an ebike brake and wants DOUBLE the money to work on my bike because it's an ebike... not happening... but i gotta do something... any suggestions?

30 miles on my ebike and I can’t wait to get off. Duel motor is not needed.
You either need a better seat or better posture. 30 miles isn't even that far, I use to do that on a normal bike as a daily ride.
With my e-bike that is absolutely easy.
