This is a cool channel. I started game collecting more seriously about a year ago when I finally moved into my own house after years of renting apartments. I'm very much in the same boat as you regarding these.
I collect games I had growing up, friends of mine had growing up, and family members such as cousins growing up. I don't have an interest in a massive collection. But that's just me. There is nothing wrong with complete sets. I also will always open sealed games. They were made to be played. I also just buy the game with its manual. That's just because lack of space. I also make sure games I buy are in good condition. I take care of things I own.
I don't mind getting a game that has a torn label, or some other small defect. PS2 games will be covered in gamestop stickers, and we can do our best to get those off but I have plenty of cases where you can see that residue or something else. Annoying but I am just happy to have the game. One thing I generally refuse to do is ebay for retro games. That makes it really really tough to find the games I want. There are like 2 conventions I can attend in Ohio every year if I want but that is about it when it comes to finding harder to get stuff.
Great video and in my country we have something called Klarna that i owe 2000$ because of my addiction to video games. Next month i have payed my dept and will only buy games if i have the money.
Amazing video! Was wondering how long youve been working on your collection?
