Glad you're doing this! It's the best way to test the WDA scoring system and continue refining it to make it better and better so dunking can become an official sport!

When the announcers thought that first dubble up was the same dunk as a crab I was so sad lol

Love it, CJ. You're a 2x Champion for this. This is the path to getting this to the Olympics where it belongs.
Also, it looked like Cedric Ceballos ('92 NBA dunk champ) being the strict judge. He would suggest you put a "blindfold" multiplier on the chart.

Great video CJ! Your judging analysis is very educational. Those Chinese dunkers are also very impressive.

One question: do you anticipate eventually having like a certification process for judges? It seems complex enough that you need some time to learn the skill of the judging system. Correct me if I’m wrong but I dont feel like a random nba player who doesn’t know much about dunking could just pick this system up and figure it out in a day or two?

The WDA Scorecard has an 11 point bonus for splits/pike, so perhaps that would be applicable to Jonathan's wall? Seems like that particular complexity bonus could also apply to Jonathan's "happy feet" dunk (although he obviously didn't do that one in the XBA contest). Anyway, great video!

The 5'8 guy who did the lob eastbay actually has almost the exact same style as Nolan Larson. It looks sick

I think there should be variables for obstacle height and possibly overall size (I.e a sports car and a bike are the same height but I assume jumping a car is harder). It just doesn’t feel fair for the hard push off double up over 2 to get a better obstacle multiplier than Zay or Kilganon Tetris and 7 footer dunks. Another thought I had was a negative multiplier or complexity deduction for push offs instead of docking flight, that way you could adjust for how agressive the push off was.

What about adding a feature of the height of the person they are jumping over. Isaiah’s jump over the tall guy should have more points based on the risk of the jump height up. Just a suggestion.

I'm thinking global multipliers for the two ball finish and two dunks in one. Not sure how to phrase that properly...

What about body actions "splits" for jclark finish? That's 11 more points?
