All eyes were too focused on Shrinkala maybe because people thought she would have a better placement in Miss World and it would be impossible for Nepal to place on top on their second year in Miss Universe because the conpetition in MU is just super strong and with thenlikes of South Africa, Venezuela, and Philippines, people in Nepal felt it is too early to hope that big for their candidatem
But Manita is undeniably a dark horse. Too bad the competition in MIss U this year is just too tight. But her placing in top 10 means she is a standout for the judges.
And I am so happy she reached the finals since she is one of the contestants in Asia who I rooted for especially after the Thai Night. She performed really, really well in the auction!

I am proud of her (even if I am not Nepali) she is an OUTSTANDING woman, absolutely gorgeous and she was among my picks for Miss Universe. Had no idea she had to pay for many things that are supposed to be provided by National Comittees. She still managed to do an amazing job. I love her.
After marking NEPALs name in the biggest beauty pageant as a top 10 finalist by her own ability,I really feel she should get very much bigger platform to be interviewed and share her experiences, obstacles, her future planning, her strategies so that it reaches to huge no. Of masses as much as possible rather than show like this where the host himself misinterpretates the guest... This feels so humiliating.... I have literally searched for her solo interview after the miss universe pageant but it's nowhere to be found... All I get is only of shrinkhala. Why this partiality ??.... Why so much of ignorance ?? ... The 3 of the miss Nepal winners should be treated equally the way shrinkhala is being treated coz , 4 of them has made Nepal proud this year. Shrinkhala ain't the only one. .. No, I am not bashing or hating shrinkhala . She is great at her own . The only problem here is the exposure, appreciation, recognition those deserving 3 women are apart from . And to all those ill minded people barking about manita speaking in English everywhere ,,, like seriously ??.. Language is just a source of communication. If she is comfortable expressing her thoughts, emotions, journey in English then what's wrong with it?... .. And plz don't forget the final question answer round that declares the winner of Ms. Nepal is also asked both in Nepali as well as "ENGLISH" language... There is no any rules or criteria that miss Nepal should only talk in Nepali. .. Keep that in mind !!... So , let's all support her and encourage her. The girl who can prove herself and make Nepal so proud in the biggest beauty pageant without any of our support, media attention, recognition and publicity,,,,,,, imagine the level of heights she will reach, the no. of feathers she will add once we all nepalese encourage, appreciate ,love, respect and support her... May be the Nepalese journalist are not comfortable to interview her as she only speaks English most so Called journalist can’t communicate properly in English, or other thing might be she doesn’t live in Nepal so might not have enough time to meet the journalist
Speaking English is very good actually since you could get to interact with other contestants. I really admire Miss Cambodia and Miss Vietnam, even though they could not speak English, and they were bullied by Miss USA, Australia and Colombia, they were still confident. Speaking English is like an additional points and admirable since you could be able to understand English and communicate without using some interpreters. I'm a Filipina and I'm proud of Miss Philippines and she was crowned as Miss Universe 2018. She is also using English language . There is nothing wrong with speaking English, that's very advantageous especially in the Pageant World.
There is a rumor, I don't know if it is a rumor or not but we Filipinos are very disappointed, there are 16 countries who signed a petition that half-blooded Filipinas are ban for joining the next Miss Universe, and Nepal is one of it. A lot of Filipinos react to that petition, since miss universe 2015 and 2018 are half-blooded Filipinas. Well of course Binibining Pilipinas (National Beauty Pageant of the Philippines) are allowing contestants even though she is a full blood filipina or not, but the most important thing is that the contestants have this passion to join and win the crowns.
If this petition is true, we are not that afraid but we also want that no interpreters allowed to make it fair haha, but hopefully this petition is not true, since our contestants are very passionate, not just to join the competition, but to win the crown with a purpose, a good purpose to fight for their stand especially to empower women's right.
But I still do like Miss Nepal though, I like her, the way she speaks, well-educated, and joining miss Universe is a very big deal for her, and its like she wants the hosts and the people to inform that Miss Universe is not a competition to take for granted, you should support beauty pageants more. @@diannemarieesmalla4596 I think it is just a rumor. I do not think Nepal would sign a petition to do so because Nepal sends a lot of people of mixed races to the pageants itself. Majority of the past Miss Nepal winners come from the Newar ethnicity and they are a mix of various races.
Nepal also sent women of mixed backgrounds to different pageants this year. Miss Nepal Earth, Priya and Miss Nepal Grand International, Ronali are mixed. Priya's mom is a Rai(East Asian group- Kirat) from India and her dad is a Bramin Nepalese of Indian decent. Ronali on the other hand, is a Newar and thus she is multiracial. Miss World Nepal, Srinkhala clearly looks mixed as well. Just google pictures of her mom and dad.
@@bikkilovesmuzic yeah, that's good thing, well of course we cannot take the right of those half-blooded citizens, the important thing is, you have the passion, the determination to withstand of your right and win the crown and be grateful to all the people who supports the candidates. even though that Catriona won the crown already, she kept on thanking us, the Filipinos and those who supports her, that is how grateful Catriona is, and I'm very proud of her.

I loved her! If there's any advice that I can give that might help is to select a more fashionable dress during the evening gown competition. She was so strong in every facet of the competition except in the evening gown round. Her dress wasn't elegant enough to compete with the other contestants. I know that Nepal is a conservative society, but so is India and some of the other countries that compete. Future contestants from Nepal need to look as elegant and beautiful as the other top contestants and selecting a gown that will highlight her physical attributes is important. .... I'm originally from Venezuela and have followed beauty pageants all my life. As you all know, Venezuela is almost always one of the top contestants every year, so my comment is meant with good intentions since I have an eye for these things. .... I've also had the great fortune of traveling to Nepal and touring your beautiful country for 6 weeks many years ago. Nothing can compare to one's first sighting of the Himalaya. I did a two week trek on my own through the Langtang region. At the time hardly anyone visited that region. I have such great memories. May God and Goddesses continue to bless Nepal and all it's wonderful people and animals.....
She's one of my favorites in miss Universe. Watching her interview now, she really deserves to be top 5 or 3. I just feel bad about her evening gown presentation. They should support their candidates in the future.

Other countries prefer miss world other national winners they send their winners to miss world. Miss world has the biggest entrants compare to miss u. I think miss u is popular in philippines and some latin countries.

Miss Nepal is truly a dark horse in the competition. I noticed her right away when the introduction of the candidates from the preliminary and the video intro for Africa and Asia-Pacific. Some filipino pageant trainors trained other candidates like miss vietnam, cambodia, ecuador..and some candidates wore evening gowns made by filipino designers. I wish we could help other asian countries in training. Miss international indonesia 2017 was trained by a filipino i think and she won miss international.
I think people were too focused on shrinkhala and the votes made her reach that level and helped her get the multimedia award. Whereas no one even knew that manita was competing and doing so well in miss universe which is the biggest beauty pageant in the universe. She reached top 5 which is a very big deal but no one seems to care because they there is so much for miss shrinkhala ji

Philippines is considered as a powerhouse of beauties, since every title that women gets of the national pageant (Binibining Pilipinas), we Filipino people support every girl in the competition. just like the Miss Universe Official Face Portrait, as you can see, Miss Philippines got the most likes, comments and shares since, we keep updating ourselves to international beauty pageants. Even Miss World, Miss Intercontinental, Miss Supranational and Miss Earth.
Now, I am here since I was amazed by the performance of Manita (But of course I'm a big fan of Catriona Gray, Miss Universe Philippines, our contestant and crowned as Miss Universe 2018). I did watched this video and I don't understand the language, but I am just watching Manita, and she has this amazing talking skills and how she responded to every questions confidently. She is also proud for being in the top 10, and I'm also proud of her. The hosts are a bit of disappointing since they introduced her as Miss World, its partly rude in her part. But I could say, your contestant, Manita is sooooo good, I admire her, and I was really surprised that she is talking in English language and it is some sort of a very good points and she did not need any interpreter, she really learn English and that's amazing. For 2019, make sure to have another Miss Universe Nepal like Manita and improve more the support since Miss Universe is the Highesttt Beauty Pageant Crown you could ever get.

@@cristinasth8 hahaha, well there is this biggest beauty pageant in the Philippines which is called Binibining Pilipinas (try to search for that if you're interested lol), it is also like the miss universe competition. We Filipinos are always very proud of our contestants, especially now, miss Catriona Gray, she's a Filipino Pride. She choses Philippines, she has the heart of Filipina, has passion in the Philippines, very active to participate in any ways when it comes to children. she also values the culture and tradition of the Philippines, every costumes and gowns she wore in the Miss Universe competition, she's very particular with it. Her national costumes, consists the whole Philippines with its three different biggest islands in the philippines. the Gown she wore at the Preliminary, it was inspired on Ibong Adarna, a very famous epic poem in the Philippines and it weighs 18 kilograms, and hand stitched. the Winning Gown is the Lava gown, inspired by the Mayon Volcano, and its very amazing since when Catriona was just 13 years old, her mom dreamt that she won a crown with a red beautiful gown, and it came to life.
Philippine Flag consists of 4 colors such as Whits, yellow, blue and red. One fact also that Philippines just received the 4th crown. First is on 1969, Gloria Diaz, wearing a White Gown, 1973, Margarita Moran, wearing a yellow gown, 2015, Pia Wurtzbach, wearing a blue gown, and right now 2018, its Catriona Gray, wearing a red dress. its so amazing that even in the gowns, Catriona completed the last color of the Philippine flag.
in the Philippines, we're not racists, even though you are a mixed or pure FIlipina, you could join Philippines' beauty pageant as long as you have the passion, not just joining the competition, but to win the crown. 2015 is also from the Philippines, Pia Wurtzbach, half Filipina, half German, were also very proud of her, and even Catriona, we're very much proud of her.

Wow! It showed all the hard work she did. I think it’s her poor styling that didn’t push her to the top5. She looks so much younger here than in miss universe in my opinion. She is so beautiful and smart.
I believe that the interview should have been longer so that Manita would speak more about her experience and future plans more ellaboratly because she is so confidently beautiful. Also the host must do more research before interviewing a person as it is quite awkward when you call mistake there own title. It clearly shows that she wasnt feeling comfortable.
