    Hi Wayne great video. Looking to install a replacement motor on a 2011 regen series precedent…would these type of motors require my cart to have a lift kit installed. Currently mine doesn’t.

    Great video Wayne! Question. Would you recommend upgrading anything else besides a controller if you upgrade the motor? Ex. Solenoid or thicker gauged battery cables? I’m trying to get the most juice out of the motor without spending up on a controller.

    • @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900
      @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are not upgrading the controller to more amps, then you really don't need to upgrade anything else. The controller is where you get more amps.

    Great video but I have the same problem as some others. I have disconnected the wires and removed the 4 bolts and the motor will turn but no amount of wiggling seems to make it move off the spline at all. I read your other response where you say to remove the entire axle and I understand what you're suggesting to do but I'm not sure what's involved to remove the axle. Do you remove the mounting bolts from the spring hangers and the shocks and then jack up the frame? Thanks in advance.

      Yes, unfortunately bottom shock nut, and 2 nuts off each u bolt, and unhook brake cables from each rear wheel, drop the rear shakle bolts, and roll the entire assembly out the back. Yes you have to jack up the rear end.

    Hello, great video. I wanted to know if you have any explanation of the electrical system of a Club Car Golf with 36 volt batteries and a model 5BC48JB764 engine. Among other questions I have, there is a switch on the forward and reverse lever that does not appear on the electrical diagram sent to me by the manufacturer and I want to know what it is used for. This is connected to the solenoid in its negative position.

    Hi Wayne great videos and fun to watch. Ive removed a club car precedent electric motor to find its rusted quite badly as been sat outside for several years. Ive manage to clean the worst off the plates inside windings, but need to get the commutator out of its bearing to inspect the brushes which are completely stuck. Any advice on how to remove it (one video on YT shows guy hitting the speed sensor end with 8Lb lump hammer) and is it straightforward to replace once removed

      @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nick, sorry for thus answer, but i wouldn't mess around with it. The time involved and the money you spend for parts, isnt worth it.
      You would be better off buying a used take off motor from a company and turn yours in as a core.

      @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Honestly, I would buy a different motor, because the time, energy and frustration from trying to get it off, isn't worth it to me.
      However, I keep spraying it with rust removed and tapping with a small hammer to get the brushes free. The bearing you can try a press to press it off, I have also taken it to a auto parts store and they pressed the bearing in about 10 minutes .

    • @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900
      @waynemartin.waynesgolfcart4900  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don't pry on it. Get all screws out 4 or 5, get motor so it will turn. Then grab the end of motor and start wiggling it up and down.
      If that doesn't work, remove entire rear axle with the wheels still on it.
      Turn axle on the end, resting on 1 wheel. Put a blanket under it to lessen the fall, and pick entire axle up about 2 feet and drop it on the wheel. Motor should fall off then

      Make sure all the bolts are removed, including the 1/2" bolt on the very bottom. At that time the entire motor should spin.
      For sure way to remove it, is to remove the entire rear axle, with the motor and the 2 wheels still on it. Then turn that onto 1 side so 1 wheel is laying FLAT in the ground.
      Then lift that entire assembly up about 18 inches and drop it to the ground. Do that a few times and the motor will fall off.

      im assuming you have already removed all the bolts, and wires, and removed the main positive cable from your battery pack?
      Sometimes there is one 1/2" bolt on the outside bottom of the motor that is hard to see, make sure you got that one out.
      Try to rotate motor, and you can tap on the case, but don't hit it so hard that you dent it. Might have to keep spray ing some bolt loosened on it and letting it sit, then keep repeating this.
      Lastly, what will work for sure, is to remove the entire rear axle, tires and all. Then pick up the axle assembly and slam it on the floor a few times, slamming on 1 of the tires. Watch your feet, because the motor is going to fall off to the floor.
