    To all the people saying Navene recorded all of Weightless and that they have a synth player, no. It has been confirmed that most of Weightless has pre made drum patterns. Also, saw them live last year and it was just three of them.
    Also, most of AAL has music originally created by Tosin. Almost all of Weightless, that I know, was created by Tosin.
    Either way, AAL and CS are freaking awesome. Let's just enjoy their awesomeness.

      Curiously .Imaginative I'll hopefully be seeing them in August! Also I agree with you there is no synth.

    As far as I'm concerned with "heavy instrumental music" this guy's at another level.. Crazy good.

    I still got my poster from when i saw the original 3. Got all of their signatures and talked to abasi about that being my first concert. Best Concert ever. The mosh pushed me to the front and i recorded some songs.

    The intros riff is quite possibly the most beautiful riff I have heard

    Instrumental, i totally dig it. The soundscapes don't irritate me, but they are loud and a bit distracting. Love the compositions.

    When I saw them live back in February Matt Gartska was a beast on the drums, he's pretty much mastered all the stuff Navene wrote for Weightless and the stuff that was programmed on the debut. The reason the records sound different is because the first was a collaboration between Abasi and Misha Mansoor, while Weightless was writeen by all three members of the band, Navene included. Plus Weightless has Earth Departure, the perfect example of double thumb technique and a real step up from the 1st

    There's never been a synth guy, either. You might want to check your facts or actually see them live before you start making absurd claims like AAL sucking.

    • @Thaligamathor
      @Thaligamathor 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jesse W D James who the fuck said that? I'll stab them till they see all colors of the spectrum. AAL is an amazing instrumental band. if they suck because of no vocals then stop listening to music.

      Jesse W D James whaaaat day fukk? what's a going on o?

    • @___xyz___
      @___xyz___ 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      AAL sucking is not a claim. There's no way to objectively verify or disprove that AAL sucks. As far as I'm concerned, AAL could suck a ton in one area and not suck in a different area. For instance, they could be really good at making complicated music that challenges the listener to think, but absolutely suck at making groovy music that makes you wanna really do it. Or perhaps they just suck at making music that is melodically coherent to any reasonable degree. Even if that were the case, it wouldn't necessarily mean they suck. In fact, perhaps the whole purpose of the band is artistical in a political way, and they are succeeding tremendously. Then surely they don't suck. In fact, it is we who suck. Suck up to them. Who are killing it. But to be honest, I just think people should stop giving so many fucks. It's overflowing with fucks all over the industry. You need to have a really bloody tall pedestal to see past all the fucks people give about their rock bottom bands. Just admit for once that the majority of all you consume is mediocre at best. Every band has like one or two tracks most that could be considered genuinely inspirational and actually turn into something good. Chimp Spanner is no exception. Just because I seem to think I like all his music doesn't mean it's superiour in any way. It's different, and that is good. You could argue different means incomparable, and therefore it doesn't suck, but that's not how it works. Look to contemporary pop music for reference.

    after their debt album Navine went bye bye to make dubstep :||| the they got a guy on the synth (typical) the other drummer is okay i guess. Weightless didnt satisfy like their debt did. Weightless sounded like an Arcade video game while Animals As leaders sounded like spaceJazzyMetal.
