His voice was so much stronger back then. The tone and quality of a voice reflects the state of the mind and the body. He probably was in a somewhat healthier place back in 2007.
Me too Chris. I don't know if he has developed laryngitis and even polyps on his vocal chords (due to overstraining them). He seems to only be able to sing in his lower register in a very weak way now. The alcohol surely does not help his situation either since it also damaged the throat and all it's soft parts, often leading to chronic inflammations. Sorry for the lecture, just hoping that if somebody is on the same path as Wes they can take this info and change.
Captain Underdog Its really sad to think of honestly, still love Puddle of Mudd till the end even is Wes is going kind of downhill, Im sorry for him honestly, the rockstar life must make you do crazy things, hopfully he'll sober up before its too late and something really bad happens with his drinking though, and i sure hope he doesnt have laryngitis, nice to see other puddle of mudd fans out there!

Wes is a better guitarist than I thought he was, he's not amazing but he can do the hammer-ons and pull-offs pretty fluidly. Don't think he knows scales or anything like that.
