"We reached for the stars to claim glory, but in our grasp, we shattered the heavens. Now we march through the ruins, not as victors, but as witnesses to our own folly."
@RAD1111able nah the war never would have made it near the planet without perty, he was the lynch pin of the traitor cause, it's why everything went south the moment horus took over.
Personally, I believe Perturabo carried the physical realm of the Siege. That's always how I've inferred people’s comments on "carrying the Siege" or “the only reason it went so well”. Once the balance of the different realms of battle shift from the physical to the metaphysica, it makes sense that Horus shifted gears to the more appropriate commander. With Magnus dow, it makes sense for Mortarion to take over the magical assault. The walls (physical and warp) are breached and there is enough momentum and (still superb) line commanders to generally direct the physical aspects of the army along. So I'd agree that yes, Perty really did carry an aspect of the Siege. Without him, they wouldn't have gotten nearly as far nearly as fast in the opening, very physical, realm of battle.
the hammer stuck this anvil hard for the salamnders also i would like to thank you and ya lore crim buddys i got my first minies and starting to learn the game. into the first of battle. keep up the great work
This was the single battle that forever changed the Imperium into a nation of the future for mankind, instead it will become one of the most brutal regimes in human history, and it will become the first page of the slow ruination of the Imperium as the Emperor become one with the Golden Throne, but also perhaps humanity greatest chance to survive in the Grim Darkness of the Far Future as the Emperor becomes a God that mankind needs to survive.
When the armor of your faith is buckled and torn, see in your mind that magnificent hero. Think upon his deeds and be humble, for his like will never walk the galaxy again.
I cannot honestly believe that my comment got a like from the actual Remembrancer. It is almost unbelievable to me to think that you have time to shoot back a like to your fans. I cannot even imagine how much work and dedication you must put in to make such unbelievable content. I hope you know how much all the fans appreciate it and how incredibly your gifts of storytelling actually are. Thank you so much for all that you do and put out there. It is so appreciated. Keep up the amazing and phenomenal work. Someday you will be the gateway to 1000000s more people coming into the warhammer universe. You and the vox in a void started me on this magical 40k journey. I am actually an Interventional Radiologist and we have long and grueling hours on call. Sometimes sitting and waiting is enjoyable thanks to you guys. You are not just telling stories. You are entertaining the world and making some of the drudgery of existence just a little more palatable. I guess it’s true that indirectly the emperor protects.. : )
The dark king part imo is really overlooked by a lot of people imo because the emperor essentially had the power to eradicate the corruption that plagued his fellow concepts at the cost of becoming the new source of said corruption....and wisely said no. Some may say 1 is better than 4, better the devil you know, and all that shit, but unironically if both order and chaos became corrupted it would 100000000% be game over. Like no shot regardless of how many primarchs or other conceptual avatars running around, literally EVERYTHING and EVERYONE is dead or being viciously ruled over by the very idea of a dictator sitting upon a carrion throne of hate and lies. When the emperor denied the psychic power up directly from reality's very functions and core, he didn't just save himself: he saved *everyone* and it's that very corruption he now fights on his throne not just against him, but within him as well.
Pretty sure Big E was genuinely contemplating taking that power, until Ollanius Persson managed to convince him by reminding The Emperor of his humanity. In that moment, it further solidifies, at least in my mind, that The Emperor is indeed no god, he is as human as you or I are, power is always tempting no matter how powerful you are, even for someone such as The Emperor.
@@azurehorizon6097 I mean fair point. I guess the neoth persona needed a sudden kick in the ass from ollanious to wake up again after being subjected to pure, unbalanced order for so long under the whole emperor identity that he would conclude sacrificing his own conceptual purity to have a greater chance at ending all of reality's corruption was "worth it" even tho realistically he'd become what he's against and also actively risk ending Warhammer as a whole. Makes me kinda wish Erda was also present to talk with him before it all ended tbh.
@guywholikesmemes4993 I completely agree, he certainly did forget himself a lot as The Emperor, kinda distanced himself from his own humanity which honestly contributed to a bunch of the issues during the 30k era, if he was more compassionate in general he could've prevented maybe 3 of the Primarchs turning traitor (Konrad, Perturabo and of course Angron) although I'm looking at it through a realistic perspective and not from a writing perspective. And yeah, Erda being there and not killed by Erebus (Typical Erebus L) would've definitely added some more to that encounter, I'm not sure if there was any romance between Neoth and Erda, maybe it's been hinted at loosely in a book somewhere, but there could have been something added there, at least LE-2 was there, hope he returns somehow in the modern setting.
@@azurehorizon6097 see if the golden man kept the neoth personality in the driver's seat instead of chucking it at his concept as a result of the Moloch portal, not only would Erda have probably never done what she did, but most of the perpetuals wouldn't have fucked off either. We see malcador say that they couldn't see what he sees but the hilarious fucking irony is malcador has ONLY known the big E under the order persona, he has rarely if ever actually had a proper 1 to 1 conversation with neoth the man, backed up by the fact he didn't meet the big E until the age of strife during his planning for taking shit over. Hell the neoth personality is probably the reason the psychic projections in the warp that belong to the abstractions that the primarchs are, even decided to go along with him in the first place. Remember: angron was LITERALLY able to psychically induce empathy into others and bring them peace of mind. If the emperor was just raw unfiltered order with no balance and essentially being a dictator, why in the flying fuck would angron even willingly incarnate into the avatar he got made by big E? It doesn't make any sense unless the emperor's massive century long search in the warp caused him to be more and more exposed to conceptual energy, until eventually the order persona finally fully emerged, and because the war in heaven fucked the chaos spectrum horribly, this inadvertently extended to the conceptual opposite, order. TLDR: golden man throwing his "man" side of him was unironically just as much as a hindrance to the corrupted avatars of the chaos abstractions as it was a benefit.
@@azurehorizon6097 what's even more ironic is malcador, the man who "knew the emperor" ONLY knew him AFTER order took the driver's seat. Hell neoth as a personality is the reason the psychic projections in the warp that belong to the abstractions that are the primarchs, FOLLOWED THE BIG E. Take angron for example: the guy Literally induces empathy psychically in people. Do you *really* think he'd go with a fucking dictator who's pure order without balance? Hell no. Neoth was what made him incarnate in the avatar he made for him, not order. Golden man throwing the "man" side of himself helped the corrupted chaos spectrum avatars as much as it hindered them.
Peter Turbo: Ouch! My Back! Horus Leprechaun: You good bro? Peter Turbo: I’ve been carrying this entire rebellion on my back, “bro”. Do you have any idea what I’ve put up with and sacrificed just to make it this far? How dare you insult me with such a question!
Im probably repeating quicker minds with this onservation but that painting of all the trator primarcha just made it clear. Ive never seen the full work before and purty and the bookworm brought it into focus. Its chess. Horus is the king. Fulgrim is the queen😁. Lorgar is the bishop. Angron is the knight. Perturabo is the rook. Alpharius is the opponents many faces and the gods are its many minds.
I'm at a family thing right now, no heresies so far, I'll watch THIS later. Praise you, may the Emperor's light guide you past the heretic, the mutant, the witch and the filthy xenos (not the Exodites, they're cool, oh, and of course Farsight, he's a good dude), and may none of you clone kids disappoint you on a galactic scale.
Sanguinus speech, and the long emperor of man speech/loken really makes me NOT wanna read the seige of terra.... The killteam part is cool, but it sounds probably better than it is

Love how this starts off with the Helldivers 2 descent music
@@aaronmarkey3856 I audibly chuckled when I heard it too
I thought I was going crazy cause I just finished playing HELLDIVERS not to long ago 😂😂😂
That was incredible. A brilliantly done script. A riveting retelling. A truly imperial voice.
Peter turbo carrying the traitor cause on his back
I think it had more to do with the fact 3 loyalist legions were crippled
Illiterate

Awesome as always, but yes I caught the Sabaton reference. Thank you for being you.
WHERE? I thought it for when Sanguinias arrived but...I'm not sure now
Your acting of Peter is the best I’ve heard.
Awesome 🤟🤟
You and Sandman are doing a great work, narrating the seize in epic ways!
This is epic!
Seeing the rivalry between Perturabo and Dorn, I really want a video of the Eternal Fortress and the Battle of the Iron Cage.
It's like the HD2 main theme goes with everything, another good video, congrats
I am the fortress now. Then gets killed by 100 marines...
Fulgrim: I ruined all your toys Rogal Dolt
Dorn: no
Nice, I was waiting for a transmission on the Siege of Terra.
If only that Sanguinis was made warmaster instead of Horus.
I was about to make breakfast and I saw this video 1 hr long siege of terror vid and I knew the EMPEROR himself brought this to my table lol

Yeah who would have thought that the seigemaster would be an asset during a SEIGE! 🤯
This was superb. Thank you, Rememberencer!
"Dedication, dedication, their outnumbered 50 to 1....and the battles begun! THEN SANGUINIAS ARRIVED!"
This was really good, thank you!
Man this was so good. I could not have read it myself with as much feeling as you have. Thank you good sir
