Lou Ivon (Jay O. Sanders) gives Jim Garrison (Kevin Costner) a demonstration in shooting a rifle at the book depository in Daley Plaza to show that it would be impossible for one man to have shot President Kennedy alone.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
The November 22, 1963, assassination of U.S. President John F. Kennedy shocked the nation and the world. The brisk investigation of that murder conducted under the guidance of Supreme Court Justice Earl Warren distressed many observers, even though subsequent careful investigations have been unable to find much fault with the conclusions his commission drew, the central one of which was that the assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, acted alone. Instead of satisfying the public, one result of the Warren Commission Report was that an unimaginable number of plausible conspiracy theories were bruited about, and these have supported a sizeable publishing mini-industry ever since. In making this movie, director Oliver Stone had his pick of supposed or real investigative flaws to draw from and has constructed what some reviewers felt was one of the most compelling (and controversial) political detective thrillers ever to emerge from American cinema. Long before filming was completed, Stone was fending off heated accusations of artistic and historical irresponsibility, and these only intensified after the film was released. In the story, New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison (Kevin Costner) is convinced that there are some big flaws in the investigation of Oswald (Gary Oldman), and he sets out to recreate the events leading up to the assassination. Along the way, he stumbles across evidence that a great many people had reason to want to see the president killed, and he is convinced that some of them worked in concert to frame Oswald as the killer. Among the suspects are Lyndon Baines Johnson (the next president), the CIA, J. Edgar Hoover, and the Mafia. Over the course of gathering what he believes to be evidence of a conspiracy, Garrison unveils some of the grittier aspects of New Orleans society, focusing on the shady activities of local businessman Clay Shaw (Tommy Lee Jones). Garrison's investigations culminate in his conducting a show trial that he knows he will lose and which he is sure will ruin his career in order to get his evidence into the public record where it can't be buried again. This movie won two of the many Academy Awards for which it was nominated: one for Best Photography (Robert Richardson) and the other for Editing (Joe Hutshing).

About 10 years earlier, Eisenhower was out in the open at his first inauguration. He even let a cowboy in the parade lasso him. The crowd thought it was hilarious, no one thought it was too big a danger. After JFK, no way that could happen.

Gary Oldman should have won an Oscar for such an excellent film, he met Oswald's friends, wife and daughters, to perfect this role.
Then again many of the best never got an Oscar (Clift) or only got one (Bogart), tells a lot about the Hollywood machine. And Oldman and many others would have deserved several. The best dont need Oscars. Acting skills are measured and credited by other things entirely.
You can win Oscars nowadays for being Woke and Slapping anyone on stage.
Well Tommy Lee Jones was nominated for his portrayal of Clay Shaw and I'd argue rightfully so.
But if I had to choose, best supporting actor that year would have gone to Ted Levine for his performance of Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs but sadly he wasn't even nominated for an Oscar.
That said, Oldman is an excellent actor and one of my favorites of all time.
But his best performances for me are Dracula in Bram Stoker's Dracula and Norman Stansfield in Léon.

The JFK assasination is so strange. I have went from thinking there was no conspiracy to knowing there was a conspiracy to suspecting there may not have been one and back around and not always in that order.

I was 16 years old and there were only three shots. Governor Connelly and his wife said they all came from the rear over their right shoulders. There was NO conspiracy. I used to think so but after 56 years nothing has come to light to explain who was involved other than Oswald. It was just Lee Harvey and nobody else. Oswald wasn't placed at the school book depository. He found out from his wife he may be able to get a job there and the manager almost didn't hire him.

The movie shows JFK getting shot in the head though. It surprised me that itd actually show that part because it was very graphic and hard to see. But im glad they showed it because someone shot in the back of the head has their head thrown forward and not backwards like JFKs head was. He was 100% shot from the front on the kill shot by the grassy knoll sniper.

Screw the haters, this is a fantastic movie. It really captures the feeling in the air that so many Americans felt when this happened.

@@mediasawdust2458 I don't think they're continuity errors. Stone is jumping time on purpose. And yes, this may be the most bravura editing in film history.
The editing really is effective in setting up how the approach shot on Houston St. was not used, so that the spot on Elm could be used for the multiple crossfire.
Kevin Costner is a great actor.... underrated to a certain degree but he does a great job in most of his movies!
JFK, and Dances With Wolves, are two of my favorite movies, that have Kevin Costner in them.
I have to disagreee when it comes to accents; He has never been good at regional accents and his southern accent in the film is unconvincing. It is also more of an accent than Jim Garrison had. In the film "Thirteen Days" about the Cuban Missile Crisis, his Boston accent is sometimes there and sometimes not. It's an irritating thing to notice; especially when everyone else in the film is nailing their accents.
I like several of his movies but he's one of those actors who seems to be the same person in different situations like John Wayne. Even as Ghengis Khan he was just John Wayne

This movie was brilliant as it showed how even though in the end, Jim may have messed up by accussing the wrong guy (Shaw), they both knew that the whole trial and publicity was done knowing very well Shaw would easily be off the hook while exposing other aspects of the assassination that were factual. Many don’t know this, but on his deathbed, Shaw confessed that he was on Jim’s side the whole time as they both knew that the agencies were taking advantage of his loyalty. They knew he would never crack under pressure and allowed him to be the media lightning rod. The only connection the poor guy had to Oswald and Ferrie was that he started out as a handler/bagman for the the two and eventually became a glorified babysitter. I do give Jim props for being amongst one of the very first to speak up, especially during dark times when the mob controlled politicians and had law enforcement agencies on their payroll to do their dirty work. Jim def knew Marcello played a huge role in organizing the hit, but as was exposed in the film and real life, he knew he couldn’t go that far into that direction as they had done business in the past. This was a subtle, yet essential scene in the film to show the intimidation tacts employed by the conspirators and why Jim perhaps never mentioned “a few names” who everybody in New Orleans pretty much knew as an open secret to be responsible for both Kennedy bros deaths!!

JFK's headshot came from the front, the back of his head being blown off is the exit. Oswald could not have delivered the head shot.

Also, the CIA edited the Zapruder film over the weekend while it was in mail transit to Chicago, which is why the timeline is too short. It was filmed at 24 frames per second, not 18, to eliminate the extra frames showing the multiple shots. Very few people saw the original unedited film.
There were _two_ entry wounds in the back of Kennedy’s head. One was from a bullet that matched the 6.5mm Carcano round and the other was matched to a 5.56mm which matched an AR-15. That’s in the autopsy report, with photos.
Oswald easily could, this film is lying to you. "Not one of their sharpshooters could match Oswald" , yet, there have been many tests that have easily matched the timeframe that Oswald had with the same rifle.
From his POV the car wasn't that far away, the plaza is tiny. And the vehicles were driving very slowly.
To shoot Kennedy as they were driving away, was simply an easier shot than when they would drive towards him

There was a perfectly good reason why a shooter would not fire while the car was coming up Houston, toward the TSBD: every pair of eyes on the ground would then look straight up at the shooter. By waiting until the car was on Elm all eyes would be following the car moving away.

Lee Harvey Oswald as I Knew Him The game JFK Reloaded actually depicts this. If you gun down the President while on Houston, the motorcycle police escorts dismount and run into the Texas School Book Depository Building. In actuality, had Oswald shot JFK on Houston, he would have had to deal with at least half a dozen Secret Service agents as well.
There is no indication at all that Oswald was "psycho", so as a trained Marine he would have thought this through, further establishing that Oswald actually did the killing.

Also, the target moving away from him was on a direct line of sight, moving slowly downhill. I have talked with people who have fired rifles, and they told me that offers one of the best chances to hit a moving target.
It really is ridiculous to believe one man could pull of a hit like that.

Jerry Miculek fired 6 round of hsi revolver reloaded and fired another 6 shots under 3 seconds. Nobody couldn do it either until someone did. And nobody believed that until seeing the video. firing 3 shots in 6 seconds is nto imposible and the shot was not impossible either.
I just came from visiting the location. It's incredibly possible. The trees werent passed the 2nd window at the time so didnt play any factor. The trees shown here are what they look like 30 years later. the shot is easy for even a beginner to make. It's right on top of the target. They have the spots the shots hit marked on the road and you can go up to the 6th floor and look out the window. Ive always believed it was Oswald and based that on his actions after the shooting. Killing the cop and hiding in the theater. After seeing it in person I laugh at conspiracy theorist .
The carcano is a good rifle, ive had one for years, i can easily hit a man sized target with all 6 shoots from 100 yards away in quick succession and I'm just an average marksman, when ppl say its garbage or inaccurate that is a huge misconception! It's just as capable as any other rifle

@@fobrien1 When Martin Luther King was murdered they came out and cut the tree down that was blocking James Earl Ray's view point so it wouldn't be questioned. People questioned the tree blocking Oswald's view as he was supposed to have killed Kennedy through a full strand of tree.

That's a documentary EVERYBODY should watch BEFORE EVEN OPENING THEIR MOUTH. Probably the BEST documentary I've seen in my life.
I have been at the sixth floor of the former school book depository. You can't stand at the actual window that Oswald "allegedly" fired from,because it is sealed with walls of plexiglass. But you can get pretty darn close. One thing you will notice when you look out at the "X" on Elm St., is how incredibly close it is from the sixth floor window. You could easily throw a rock and hit it. Which makes you wonder.
Yeah and it's only 88 feet from the tip of the stockade fence on the Grassy Knoll to the car at Z ,frame 313 where the fatal shot was fired from, as the Z Film shows, and as many of the closest witnesses in Dealey Plaza, and Medical personnel have described.
@@ricovali9245 those are easy shots. It's amazing how many people try to say they are impossible to make. It is completely the opposite. There has to be four shots for a second shooter theory to be credible and because 3 shots definitely came from the 6th floor window and 93 percent of the people heard 3 shots or less. Only 7 percent thought they heard more than 3. There were actually 11 percent who thought less than 3 shots. Since forensic scientists have ruled out any possible shot from the grassy knoll hitting it's mark and the ear witness testimony I think we can pretty much figure out where the shots that hit their mark cane from.

The throat wound did not come from any frontal shot. This is very easy but you out smarting yourself. You obviously are intelligent but no need to over think this. This went down how the WC said it did. Hundreds of people would have had to have been in on a conspiracy. That fact alone should smarten up the opinion section. You Gotta have everybody in on it. Looking at Oswald's military record during basic training. He was just one level away from being certified as Marksman, many of his CO's commented that while he was skilled with a rifle he didn't have the natural talent needed to be a true sniper.

You don't have to be an expert sniper to hit a slowly moving target at 70 yards. People are acting like Dealey Plaza is some huge place. It's not. You can circle the entire perimeter of the plaza in less than 10 mins just walking at a normal pace. The TSD building is not very far from the "kill shot" location.

The idea of crossfire is something that is often missed by the layman. Crossfire isn't just something that civilians are caught in during war. Its extremely powerful. Even just having 2 shooters overlapping a unit means they have to split and focus on two belligerents at once. To have 3 shooters, triangulated on 1 target! Well, just use your imagination.

The problem is, Lee Harvey Oswald was a loner with no friends. The creator of Quantum Leap actually served with him and remembers almost knocking him out for being a loud mouth communist. The guy left America with no friends, he left the military with no friends, he left Russia with no friends…pretty distinct pattern when you actually analyze it.
The notion that Oswald operated with others is supremely flawed, and even his wife said it wouldn’t be in his character. His wife, who confirmed he had no real friends.
The notion that Oswald was a patsy, as Garrison shamelessly argued, is even more flawed! When you have a patsy, you don’t want questions regarding their character, their ability, and the like…why? Because it gives rise to the EXACT questions that have been raised around Oswald.
The reality is that Oswald operated by himself. He pulled off the luckiest shots possible, probably because he was operating with a focus that could only accompany “end of life” decision making. First shot missed, hence he rushed for a second shot that hit, he then adjusted for a confirmed kill shot. Once you’re on target, adjustments are almost subconsciously made.
Anyone with a idea of basic physics would watch the Zabruder film & realise that Oswald wasn’t alone (or probably not even the shooter!) for that matter.

This clip says it all. Back in 2005 I was visiting Dallas and I took a tour of the book depository. I am a marksman and I wanted to see for myself if the Warren Report was a fraud. I immediately noticed the trees blocking the shot and calculated that a shot from that windows had 1.5 seconds considering the speed of the car, to acquire a target and fire. The distance was about 70 yards. the 6.5 Carcana at best is about a 4 moa rifle. Remember, looking through a scope considerably narrows the field of vision and it takes time to pick up a target. Furthermore, exactly as stated in the clip, from that window it made much more sense to shoot straight on before the car turned. Fewer changes of angle on the moving target. Oswald did not kill Kennedy.

I just came from the book depository and looked out the window. Those trees weren't there in the 60s and it would've been a clear shot for Oswald. My bf is in the military and is experienced with guns, even he says Oswald could've easily shot at Kennedy from up there.

Back in those days if you wanted a good military surplus rifle to be ordered out of a magazine the M1 Garand was plentiful, affordable, 8 shots, semi-automatic, and extremely dead accurate. Nobody that was going to do the shooting all by themselves would pick a lousy unreliable bolt action rifle.
Oswald had trained with the M1 Garand as a Marine. Why wouldn't he get one of those? Oswald never fired a shot that day. He was totally set up.
The Carcano is a good rifle, if you use the proper ammunition.
It's hard to add a regular scope since the rounds eject straight up from the action hard with the m1.

From the Kleins Ad you could have gotten a M1903 Springfield in 30-06 for $10 more. (Not sure if that included the scope), or for roughly the same price a Lee Enfield Sporter in .303 British. Both rifles would be easy to use, easy to shoot and have ammo available anywhere. Then again. Why order through mail at all? Just go to a gun store in 1962-3 even in New Orleans instead of Dallas?
I love how the film inadvertently proves that it was possible to fire those 3 shots in that fast succession. Despite them saying in the movie it was impossible. Such a silly and funny own goal.
Exactly. The actor cycles the rifle in not only less time than the other actor mentions, but in less time than actually claimed for Oswald in the Warren Report. Did you notice too that Stone opened the scene with a panning shot along Main St., rather than Elm St., in order to lull the viewer into thinking that Oswald's shots were further away from Kennedy than they actually were?

He was obviously killed by multiple shooters, the gun fire coming from different directions would confuse the crowd as to where the shooter might be. It was a good tactic because they anticipated the panic that would ensue. It’s the only way how they were able to evade the public eyes.

Someone who hears gun fire, will stop filming or at least run for cover. Someone who sees the president’s head blow up through the lens will move in a panic. That’s because the Zapruder film is fake and staged. It’s a movie production.
This is what happened that morning of November 22, 1963 in Dallas and the Zapruder video speaks very clearly. The presidential limousine turns onto Elm Street and after a few meters the first shot is fired by Nicoletti who, together with Rosselli, was hidden in the Dal Tex Building. The first bullet misses the target and hits the platform of the triple railway crossing at the end of the square and a splinter ends up in the face of James Tague, a passerby who was standing there. The second bullet hits Kennedy in the throat, and as you can see in the footage the president puts his hands to his neck and Governor Connally looks back to see what happened. The third bullet misses and ends up in the lawn where it is later found by an FBI man and deputy sheriff Buddy Walthers. The fourth bullet hits Connally who grimaces in pain as seen in the video and puts his right hand to his stomach because he feels immediate pain and then the bullet passes through his right wrist and lodges in the thigh of his left leg. The fifth bullet hits Kennedy in the back of the head and the sixth bullet, fired by James Files hidden on the grassy knoll half a second after the fifth shot, causes Kennedy's blood and head to splash back, and the brain leaking was due to the pressure of the sixth bullet that had left a hole the size of an apple behind Kennedy's head, as demonstrated by the photos of 14 people who put their hand on the same spot on his head. I say with certainty that there were 6 bullets as it seems that one shot was fired approximately every three seconds, i.e. the time needed to reload the rifle. Returning to Connally, who is the key to clarifying the mystery, there is a lot to say. 1) First of all, from the angle at which Oswald would have been shooting, which was approximately 45 degrees, only Kennedy would have been hit and no one else, the bullet could in no way have made a deviation and then hit the governor. 2) When Kennedy is hit Connally turns back to see what happens and stays like that for about three seconds, the time to reload the shot in the rifle; if the governor had been hit by the magic bullet, at the same time as the president, he would have had the same reaction as Kennedy and would not have had the way or the strength to look back. 3) When Governor Connally is wounded he is still turned away and you can see a grimace of pain as I mentioned before and then he turns forward again and collapses on his wife's legs. So much so that he himself confirms that he was not hit by either the first or third bullet. 4) In the video you can see how Connally hits his head in front of the glass that separates him from the driver's and assistant's seats. 5) Do you know why Connally was hit? Both because Kennedy had thrown himself onto his wife's right shoulder, as by bending he did not hinder the trajectory of the fourth bullet which almost grazed him and hit the governor, and because the shot was fired by Nicoletti from the window of the Dal Tex Building and reached the governor, because Kennedy was leaning towards his wife. Therefore, not only does the first bullet that missed reveal where the shot really came from, but also the one that hit Connally. Indisputable and real evidence, but unfortunately denied by many, including the Warren commission which veiled so much evidence.

What's funny about this scene is, if you personally take a stopwatch to the scene where Lou Ivon fires off three shots, it actually takes him... 5.6 seconds. Oliver Stone accidentally proved the very claim he was trying to debunk in a scene he directed (ignoring for a minute that the Warren Commission did *not* claim Oswald fired off three shots in 5.6 seconds).
And Oswald actually had about 8.3 seconds (and possibly more) to get off the 2nd and 3rd shots.

Oswald was ranked as a sharpshooter, he had been shooting that particular type of rifle since he was a child, he also had far more time to shoot than is depicted here. Watch "JFK the missing bullet" for the best depiction of what happened.
All you need to know that it was a conspiracy is the car. Forget about the zupruder film forget about the magic bullet. If you fallow the path of the car after JFK got shot that's all you need to know. The president's car was unnecessarily heavily guarded even after JFK's body was removed from the vehicle and no one was in it. They changed the windshield in the parking lot and transported to Michigan where it was stripped down, refurbished, and cleaned before JFK was even buried. So that's deliberate tampering and destruction of evidence and would indicate a conspiracy.

Surely they know that the very first thing you do is submit any possible evidence to professionals, regardless of how minuscule it appears. But this is a car full of blood, potential ejected bullets, and generally anything that would help determine the cause of death. Only damage to the limo was a bullet crack caused from the inside to the windshield and chrome plating, still in the National Archives.
In the theatrical release, this scene ended with Costner pulling the trigger after Sanders’ count-down with the impressionistic montage of what happened on that place. In the director’s cut, the scene continues with Costner and Sanders now discussing other topics. That’s why I keep looking for a DVD or Blu-Ray version of the theatrical release of this excellent motion picture. I understand why Oliver Stone prefers his cut: it has more information, more details about the case. But as a movie experience, the theatrical cut is far superior.

The entire claim of "nobody could make these shots" has been heavily debunked by now. Several skilled marksmen, recreating the scenario as best they can, HAVE accomplished these shots all by themselves. One man, one rifle. Same distance, elevation, moving target, etc. It HAS been done.
Carlos Hathcock (one of the best snipers in US history) couldn't replicate the shots Oswald supposedly acheived. I'll believe the expertise of that kind of skill over some shill any day.

Howard Donahue was one of those marksmen. Donahue was also a ballistics expert who explained the ‘magic bullet’. Bonar Meninger wrote a book about Donahue’s theory that the fatal shot came from an AR-15 in the trailing Secret Service car. Colin McLaren, who is a former homicide detective wrote his own book, backing up both Donahue and Meninger.
November 22, 2020. I can still feel the cold detachment this day holds from the rest of the year. In 2018 I visited Dealey Plaza. The place where JFK was shot. Got a chance to tour the Texas School Book Depository 6th floor where the assassins nest was setup. That floor is a museum now. And the corner window is glassed off. Window still open. The rifle still up there.
Everything about this moment is just as heartbreaking as it is inconclusive. The "Parkland" movie has a quote that said it best “A very undignified end, for a VERY dignified man”.

Yeah to my beliefs, it was a conspiracy. No way Lee Oswald hit 2/3 within 5.6 seconds through heavy foliage with a minimum reload time of 2.3 seconds. Oswald was in the top depository with a spotter, had a group at the overpass grassy parts with a spotter, and a team in the lower floors of the building next to the depository. The 1st shot was by Oswald and it backfired, the second shot hit Kennedy in the throat which pulled him forward but NOT down. Which means it was taken by the team in the lower floor in the building next to the depository. The 3rd shot took Kennedy in the back fired from Oswald. The 4th shot took James tague by the underpass fired from the team in the grassy overpass. The 5th shot misses Kennedy and hit Governor Connally in the back taken by Oswald. The 6th and final shot took Kennedy in the head fired by the team in the grassy overpass. A few more men were down on the streets and this was all set up by the CIA ot Mobs to have 12 men, three groups carry out the Kennedy hit. Thats my theory and situation and order of events! I've been to that site and it's not as big as cameras portray it to be. When you stand at ground zero, the building is right there...88 yards seems a stretch. That's not a long shot for a rifle, anyway.
While it's hard to accept Oswald was the only shooter, there is a mountain of evidence that shots were fired from the vantage of that window. Shots from the front or side don't add up. Blood and brain matter flew everywhere, bot mostly toward the front. The Zapruter film clearly shows matter flying out toward the front of the car, and a piece of his skull opening outward toward the front. His body falls limp, then slings back possibly from his back brace (he had a very bad back), and possibly from Jackie reacting to it (she was holding him after the first shot). Furthermore, any experienced hunter will tell you that bodies react peculiarly when hit. It's not like the movies where bullets pick up and carry bodies in the linear direction of force. The fluids, matter, and bones cause the bullet to deflect (slow motion bullets into clear mediums are seen tumbling almost immediately upon impact) which causes great unpredictability as to how an object will react (sometimes the bullet goes through, sometimes not, sometimes the object flies left or right or up or not at all). So the argument of a frontal shooter simply because his body slings backward is rather weak.
So my belief has been that the kill shot came from the rear. And if there were other shooters, there's no suspects and no direct evidence.
If there were other shooters I don't see how this would change the motive, or even if Oswald was a shooter or not, it just means that more than one person was involved, but even if Oswald was the lone shooter that's still implies that there were more involved...
So I'm confused as to why one or multiple shooters somehow changes the dynamic of motive here. That multiple shooters means a cover up. I mean if you're going to assassinate a president, there are going to be secrets...

i was just there earlier this week. you are right, it's not that far of a shot like the movies portray. i mean its far for someone unexperienced but for anyone experienced its not far at all. the tree does pose some questions but i think the tree was smaller back then too. it's still a very eerie place to be. there are so many vantage points its like a killing field.

Documents released by the ARRB reveal the testimonies of three secretaries in the Texas School Book Depository who stated they saw no sign of Oswald on the staircase as they were descending. Oswald would have had to find the cartridges he supposedly fired, line them up neatly on the window sill, stash the rifle behind a stack of boxes, run down four flights of stairs, walk up to a vending machine and buy a coke and be seen by the manager and Patrolman Marion Baker- and all this would have had to happen in under 90 seconds. Analysis of the skull seems to indicate a shot from the front, simply based on the size of bullet fragments. So yes, there seems to be indication of shooters from behind and the front, but probably not the sixth floor. It was most likely a lower floor of the Book Depository and the Dal-Tex building.
The issue with multiple shooters is that the Warren Commission was dead set on the idea of only one shooter who acted on his own without any help from anyone. Proving multiple shooters therefore proves the government is lying with their official story. Of course, another key part of this film is the scene with Mr. X which tackles the motive at hand. The radical shift in Kennedy's policies before his body was lowered into ground indicate (according to Mr. X who was based on Col. Fletcher Prouty) a concerted effort by the new government to initiate their Cold War agenda in Southeast Asia and elsewhere. The absence of proper protection in Dealey Plaza on 11/22/63 coupled with the professionalism in the execution indicates the likely involvement of intelligence agencies, which work alongside the DOD and military industrial complex to wage war for power and profit.

You seem to be repeating an unproven conspiracy factoid. The cartridges were not lined up on the window sill when they were first discovered by Luke Mooney. In fact, they weren't on the window sill at all. They were scattered randomly on the floor.

No. You are repeating another myth about the assassination. Oswald had not yet bought the soda when Marrion Baker and the building manager, Roy Truly, first saw him in the lunchroom. Both of them said his hands were empty. Their statements later got confused with that of Jeraldean Reid who saw Oswald with a soda after he had left the lunchroom. Oswald bought the soda after Baker and Truly left, not before they got there.

It has never been proven that the time was actually that short. Baker and Truly guessed through reconstructions that it might have been that short, but both admitted the actual time on the day itself could have been longer.

No idea how you worked that out. The x-rays plainly show that the majority of the exit damage was in the front half of his skull and mostly on the upper right side. Quite a bit of his skull was completely blasted out in that area. Very little skull was missing from the entire rear half of his head.

He missed 2 shots, he hit the third, when the shot was clearest, and 88 yards is hardly impressive. Oswald was a mediocre marksman in the Marines, but he still qualified with an M14 at 300 yards. He also practiced with his rifle for months.
I’ve been to the Sixth Floor Museum. While you can’t go directly to the window that Oswald shot from, you can look directly out from the window just a few feet away from the sniper’s nest. The spot where Kennedy was shot is actually marked on the street with an X. Standing in the window, you can see for yourself that the shot was not that difficult.

It is much easier to shoot moving your rifle upwards from an elevated position to follow a target moving away from you than it is moving your rifle downwards from an elevated position at a target moving towards you.

This included all the subsequent panels over the years that specifically looked for evidence of a conspiracy (HSCA) - heck, even when the HSCA thought they had and acoustic recording of a 4th shot from the knoll, they concluded it must have missed everyone. We learned later that the acoustics were not a recording of Dealey Plaza but the fact remains that even when they thought they had scientific proof of a shot from the knoll, they still couldn't find any evidence that it struck anyone/anything.

If you cant operate a bolt gun quickly and hit a target that's moving not much faster than walking speed at under 75 yards, then you have been spoiled by semiautos and need to practice with your bolt gun.
That rifle was a cheap rifle, besides the fact, all evidence points to the grassy knoll.
Your head doesn't fly backwards from a hunched over position if your shot from behind at long range. The top of his skull landed on the cars trunk. If Ozzy did the kill shot, Governor Connelly would have Kennedy's scalp in his lap after it hit the dashboard.

I believe that this movie is incredibly accurate. Now, from what I've heard, fingers are definitely pointing to the CIA, as the actual ones that committed this horrific crime...and, if you think about it, it makes perfect sense! President Kennedy had vowed to "Splinter the CIA into a thousand pieces", so it seems to me, that they wanted to stop him from accomplishing that goal.
I've heard other things concerning the CIA, that were bad. I'm not going to say that all of them are bad, though. However, my point is this:It doesn't matter what faction that you belong to. Or if you're just by yourself. There's truly good and bad in every one of us. It's up to us, as to what path we decide to follow. I still believe, that the CIA, FBI, DOJ, and other factions that control our Great Nation, have truly good and sincere people, that work within them...but there are definitely Rogue Elements present here in our Great Nation, that attempt to mess up what could be used for good.

A marine trained rando who practiced with his rifle obsessively and was shooting at a very slow moving target using a scope.
It wasn't "a random dude". It was a trained shooter and former Marine. The target was barely moving, and simulations run by CBS news several people were able to do the same thing.

Not only do they claim Oswald in the TSBD, there' are a guy called David Ferrie as a shooter from the Grassy Knoll, 2 guys supposedly in the Del-Tex building either on 2nd or 3rd floor, and then there is the probability of a shooter in the limo itself.

I remember watching this when it was 2 VHS tapes. This film stays with you. They used 2 VHS tapes for long movies because Dances with Wolves was one VHS and it was too much film in one VHS and the reel snapped pretty quickly.
0:10 I ran a stop watch from his first shot to this third shot and it was 5.16 seconds. Not even close to the "6-7 seconds" Kevin Costnar's character says it was. The actors themselves literally prove the timing of the Warren Commission and disprove their very own conspiracy theory. Get out a stop watch and try this for yourself and see just how long the 3 shots took.
I think this scene is compelling to those who arnt familiar with shooting. At that range it would be a pretty easy shot with that setup. Being a bolt action it would take a lot of practice to get rounds off that quickly with accuracy but that is exactly what Marines were trained to do back in the day. Dont beleive me: take a shooting lesson, go buy a bolt action rifle, go to a range, and practice.

Oswald was discharged in 1959, and his MOS wasn't rifleman. That would put him in basic around 1957. How much range time did he have after basic? Plus, in the Corps, he was probably shooting at least a semi-automatic M-14, not a bolt action piece of Italian junk.
There is no such thing as an “easy shot” with a rifle that is TS zeroed. You clearly don’t know what knowledge of exterior ballistics this shot required. And Oswald was never taught any of it.

And in this scene, set in 1967 (?), more time had not only elapsed since the day of the assassination, that period of time was also longer than John F Kennedy was president.
The so called "head-shot" was a very sophisticated shot. At that time Kennedy is slouching down and Jackie is trying to see what happened, and her head is virtually in the same place with Kennedy's head. The shooter had to move the cross-hairs in his scope a little to the side on Kennedy's head so the bullet doesn't hit Jackie's head, but it still fatally hits Kennedy. And he could do exactly that. That means he was shooting from point blank range. Otherwise he could have shot Jackie's head too.

I have watched that film in slow motion, the last shot came from the front. What did they have on Bobby to keep him quiet? Any hunter could tell where the exit hole was. I'm not aware of any conspiracy theorist who believes that the interval between the first shot fired and the last shot fired was 18 seconds (or 45 seconds, if you believe there were 6 shots fired). The entire Zapruder film is a mere 26.6 seconds.
