Vergil takes endurance, Dante was fighting fodder demons, the most powerful of which even state that even having a semblance of a struggle against them would mean he is no match for Vergil, which he obviously is, meaning none should realistically affect his stamina, meaning he was effectively at full capacity during their fight, which ended with nero third parting, making dante practically pass out due to exhaustion while vergil faught nero to a standstill and only lost to a technicality. As it currently stands vergil would most likely win against dante extremely high diff.
Dante has more Intelligence than Vergil because well as you said Vergil was possessed for most of his life and Dante gained more intelligence overtime and Dante even won against Vergil at the very end of DMC5 Vergil even says they are even, so I say they tie.
