    The option to enable Tiller Steering in the FlyPad has now moved to the 'Realism' page!

    • @itts
      @itts 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Question: have you made any adjustments to the sensitivity settings of your rudder pedals? For the majority, I feel like the pedals are too "aggressive" in how it "feels", and I think the real A320 should be a bit more "sluggish" in regards to rudder input.
      Can you maybe share some settings you've made/changed in regards to sensitivity to make the aircraft feel more realistic?

      I'm on 0.7.4 and I don't have a realism tab. There is no option for the tiller at all. And I have no way whatsoever to control the nosewheel so taxiing is impossible. Sigh.......

    Very informative and clear as ever. I think accuracy in taxing is one of the simulation systems that helps to set the impression of immersion early in a simulated flight so it is wonderful that FBW has through their inovative coding spent time to provide this feature.

      @320SimPilot  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I completely agree! Strangely enough a lot of pilots find driving aeroplanes around the taxiways is also a highlight of the job, it has it's own satisfactions like landing and flying smoothly!

    Great video captain as always. I actually have a Prime Cockpit Airbus tiller with Pedal DISCT that works amazingly well in the Toliss. I have finally decided to give MSFS a try so have been going thru the treacherous path of setting everything up. Will be trying the tiller and hope it all goes well :)

    Captain recently found your channel and find all your videos very informative and they certainly have added to my understanding of the sim. I also think that your focus videos on a specific topic are extremely helpful. I have been searching your library to see if you did anything on the go down slow down topic. If you did could you point it out. I have been flying a few STARS that have a lot of altitude and speed restrictions and although I usually make it work I don’t think I would want to be a passenger on that flight. Would really enjoy seeing how the pros do it. Best of the season and please keep up the great work.

    Great Video... With all the different control requirements for many new aircraft, it probably makes sense to start using the preset manager... I did create a couple for the HAWK and the new KODIAK, time to do one for the 320...

    It's amazing how they manage to make everything work.
    I've not managed to fly the aircraft for over a week so haven't tried it out yet but does the limited rudder steering make the aircraft a little less twitchy at high speeds on the runway?

    Thank you^^^^, I find it at the new location... I using TCA Officer pack. TO setting up the Triller; I followed your video, BUT> Also in the Control Options / Miscellaneous / Nose Wheel Steering Axis. Are you miss that part or it is two different option to setting up the TRILLER (nose wheel). You talking about >> Power Management / Mixture / Mixtur (-100 % to 100%) with no revers axis. I'm in kind of confused, would you explane it what is the different?
    -Also, when I twisting the handle the Rudder pedal is turning as well. I did remove the Rudder Axis and Rudder is still connected for turning L/R direction.

  • @matouseksimracer
    @matouseksimracer 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I plan on buying TCA Joystic (again) but I do not have any pedals to control Rudder. Since TCA offers feature to rotate Joystick in order to get the rudder I will have no way to control tiller 😁😁 is there some feature in MSFS that would allow mapping same input (axis) for two different things (both rudder and trimmer) and by different buttom I would be able to switch between rudder and tiller?
    If I am not mistaken you rarely need both at the same time (with some exceptions).

  • @paulwain4248
    @paulwain4248 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great video thank you. Can I just confirm this is only suitable if you have rudder pedals? If i use the tiller with the joystick then its already assigned to rudder axis? If i remove the rudder axis then the option to switch on and off doesn't work, I constantly have tiller in use, Im so confudsed lol

    • @hflx
      @hflx 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was trying the same here, no success. If there was a switch button like to enable/disable the tiller vs rudder that would be nice for taxing.

    Can you help me with how you got the chrome on your livery please. Or tell me who painted your livery? I have a custom livery for the planes I fly and I had to adapt someone else's Comp files to get the chrome working on my liveries. So there are obvious gaps in my knowledge on this area and I would like to fill that in. Plus I would like to make a few adjustments to that comp file to affect my overall livery to a place that I can be happy with it. Many thanks.

    Side note! I think they finally made it so the hydraulics need to be working for the flaps to lower! Before, the flaps could lower I believe without the engines running.
    Edit: This will take some getting used to but 320 Do you have any rudder pedal recommendations?

    • @leloginquitu
      @leloginquitu 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Flaps and slats need pressure but that's a quick workaround as they are not yet connected to hydraulics (they don't use flow when in use). This will come soon though.

One question, is there a safety feature that would prevent the tiller from working during the takeoff roll say if your hand knocked it by mistake? When Microsoft announced that MSFS2020 will be entirely new engine, I couldn't understand why they still carry over most of FS:X key commands and assignment like this rudder/tiller combined function, which has been there since FS95.
    Good for FBW to be able to find that unused key commands, unless people are flying the Dc-6 or Lockheed Electra (4 pistons engine aircraft). Now Asobo really needs to figure out someway to make every key command settings personalised for each plane.

    • @WhiteHawk77

      It would be extremely easy, just have a settings screen with each aircraft, click on an aircraft and there you can choose any combination of controller profiles. But this is Asobo we are talking about.
