Hey Jay, just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate your positivity. It’s very refreshing and I’ve enjoyed every video that you’ve made. Thank you for your hard work!
Great job brother. I flipped a car last month 500 for the car 700 in parts sold for 6000.00 2011 Impreza. Person i got it from thought transmission was shot turned out to be a cracked line they were gonna scrap it for 300.
I remember commenting on your shorts and saying I prefer the quick videos, lol. But I now make time to watch your full videos because there's really important stuff we get here. I think I speak for many of us when I say you've inspired us to get going. I'm a mental health practitioner by profession, but started flipping cars for fun. Not always easy but it really is fun isn't it? Keep up the awesome work 💯
Thanks man I remember you. Appreciate you for still watching. It can get a little hard but that’s the beauty of it. It’s very rewarding. Dealer with cars have gave me more patience. Thanks for watching
whenever your pullying out a steering wheel, you can always put back the bolt after u unbolt it, just a little bit, so you can push the wheel without hurting urself in the face (which didnt happend in this case just pointing it out) for doing a lot of force! if that makes sense, i love yours vids man, greetings from portugal!
I enjoy your videos, Jay, like your attitude with wanting to learn everything and encouraging others that they can do it too! I would recommend you use some jack stands when working under and on cars. Jacks sometimes fail and fall.
You're doing it absolutely right, learning as you go and researching with people who know how to do it. Sometimes things go wrong but you learn through mistakes, sometimes they are expensive. PS In my country in Germany it's gray from 7:30 in the morning until 4:58 p.m. and then it's black. It's no fun doing anything outside in the car. Nevertheless, I put the winter wheels on my wife's Opel Corsa D. That was really cold.
Everyone who works in their home garage wishes they could have a lift too. I would even go for those "quick-jack" style "lifts" but even when they are on sale they are $1500+ and I just can't swing that anytime soon, so a floor jack and 3ton and 6ton jack stands if I need a car a little higher off the ground. Keep on grinding man!!
Another great video Jay did you ever figure out what that piece of the car was that was in the floorboards and you're absolutely right about people saying they have no experience and they can't do something my mom always used to tell me can't never could do anything and I myself have learned the only real way to learn anything is you learn by doing keep up the great work
Thanks man! Your right doing is the only way! Yea man I ment to ad that to the video but it slipped my mind smh it was an air bag module. Looks like they tried to change it and didn’t know it was the clock spring. So it’s actually still good. Going to sell it on eBay 😁 it’s work $150 lol
Screw the negative comments! These videos are awesome man! I've binged so many of your videos. Keep them coming! You should do a video on how you look for cars :)
Nice video again! Looks like the previous owners change the airbag module (what you found in the foot well) but you figured out it was the clock spring 🤙
I know I googled it. I for got to mention that. They are worth about 160$ definitely throwing it on eBay lol. I figured that’s what they did. It probably was the previous mechanic that told them that. I guess that why I was so happy when it worked lol I ment to throw that in there good catch. Thanks for watching
That's how 4wd supposed to work. All the wheels are locked and spinning at the same rate. Think about a corner the outside wheel will spin more than the inside Wheel if your in 4wd they spin at the same rate normally if your in 4wd the inside tire will slip automatically for example if your on snow ice or mud. Do not use 4wd on dry pavement. Great video keep up the great content!
I know I figured that onto with this flip. I’m so use to driving my truck on 4 wheel when ever I want to I thought all vehicles would be the same lol appreciate it man thanks for watching
Just flipped a 2011 BMW X5 Sport package black on black fully speced. Had 7k into it. Flipped it for 10k. Got that wheel bearing I was telling you about big Jay
I like your videos and I want to be positive. DAYTONA Steel Floor Jack Cross Beam look into that. You need to use jack stands whenever you're using that floor jack. That floor jack might move and crush you. That cylinder might give out drop the car. Then you've got figure out how to jack it back up. And then fix everything that broke once that floor jack moved or gave out. And with the catalytic converters. Buy yourself a temperature gun and then you can see the temperature of the catalytic converters and see if they're within spec of temperature. It'll save you time and money and it'll help you diagnose something.
Thanks for watching! I was never under the car with out jack stands. Because it is a jeep I was able to just crawl under with out jacking it up. Appreciate the advice for sure. Definitely will look into to the temp gun thanks 🙏
Excellent video. A set of good jackstands and a creeper will be a huge quality of life improvement. Jack the car up as high as it'll go and you'll have more room to work underneath, it'll be easier to film, and it's safer for you. Even if you're not underneath the car and it comes down, it's gonna damage itself, your tools, your floor, or your camera. I subscribed and I'm eager to see more videos from you! :)
Hay brother you’re doing great job keep it up. I have enjoyed all of your videos that I have watched so far. Just a question I live in California, if you could guide me how can start and license and all that stuff I will really appreciate it thank you very much and keep shining your doing great
Thank man. Appreciate it! As for Cali I don’t know sorry man. But most places you need an office and parking and you have to apply for the license. I would google your area. 🙏
Great video - am binge watching your complete series 😁 One bit of advice - leave the nut on when you remove a steering wheel, otherwise if it suddenly lets go, you might hit yourself in the face. Don't ask me how I know 🤣🤣
So far i love the content! Do you think you can add where you are finding your cars and how to negotiate a buy for a better profit? For me im starting to use facebook marketplace but im find it hard due to many dealerships and private dealerships are saturating the listings. Also What are your critirias in finding a good deal. How are you looking at resale value in order to make a profit? things like this would be great addition. But other than that, its entertaining
Thanks so much! Definitely I will make sure to include things like that. If you check out the other content there are a lot of little Jewels speaking on stuff like that. Appreciate you man.
Hey Jay how are you brother , l love your videos l do the same thing that you l enjoying doing it . Quick question where you get the cars from ? What’s the web site or auto auction ? Thanks brother
Is there a video on how you got your dealers license and how much money you need to get started? I’m looking through your channel and can’t seem to find one
Is that a steamer that you are using at the end? Can you add links or descriptions of detailing products you use? Or even jack stand....you can get affiliate checks from links if they are from Amazon.
I have tons of pro tools, detailing equipment, specialized tools and love flipping but my problem is im in colorado and as a side hustle it would be a huge investment to get a dealers license..... Any advice for getting into dealer auctions and selling more cars with low investment?
Yea man go for it. It’s not that huge of an investment. You just have to do it. Go for it! There nothing to it. Take a chance good luck. Keep me posted. Thanks for watching
Hey man just lost my job and want to get into this with the money I got saved just wanted to know how I go about getting the cars and get my dealers license
I like what you're doing, nice to see that this can be done from an average joe perspective. BUT. You didn't use a jack stand when you were under the car, only the floor jack. You really need to use a jack stand any time you lift the car. Floor jacks fail all the time. And put the parking brake on and/or put blocks behind a f ew wheels. Especially if you're going to be showing potential beginners how to work on their car.
I just stumbled on this channel,You’re cutting hair and flipping hoops??? Wear gloves while you do both. How are you acquiring these vehicles? Do you have a dealers license to get access or are you just scouring want ads and Facebook marketplace etc? Thanks
@@flippingcarsforfun I’m in Illinois and there’s a section where you can buy a certain selection of vehicles without a license. The market is affecting these sales, I just completed a refurb on a 2010 Lexus RX350 that I have listed for 8900 but have been getting lowball offers so perhaps tax season will increase the appetite of some people. I typically look for a bit better vehicle with less work with clean titles for quicker movement and more appeal cuz as you know time is money.
@flippingcarsforfun - I just thought it was funny. I found the channel yesterday and enjoyed watching a few videos. Watching all the rust on some of the other cars makes me glad I flip cars in the great state of South Carolina. I wish you the best (and that you can get that car lift) God bless.
