APC spokespersons are always unruly, touchy and rude in their submissions. You can get across your point without insulting the other fellow. "If he was so great a lawyer", that's not good at all. I salute Mr Ejike's calmness and gentlemanliness all through the interview. He didn't insult or respond harshly once. Mr Jesutega should please learn how to argue and pass across his points like a gentleman.

    1. Everyone brought ego to the table. 2. Jesutega made more sense. 3. A rerun should be based on allegations of irregularities which the court was asking for. 4. Rufai asked a foolish question: apology does not prove anything. We can apologize for bad service. 5. Rufai was rude, mocking his quests was unprofessional. 6. Mr ejike said nothing wrong, we can criticize the judges, they are not gods. He said with regards to dispensing justice in a timely manner. 7. Jesutega obviously got emotional but rufai was so rude that any tv station will have him trained more.

This discussion proves it that Nigeria is irredeemable. When a lawyer and infact a nations judiciary will not show objectivity in reasoning for the salvation of the soul of the nation but rather engrossed in ethnic chauvinism and dancing to the tune of a paymaster who happens to be the one in power through the back door, then there remains no hope for the future of that nation. If this a curse on the nation, then it is a very bad one.

The Supreme Court serves a nation. So any citizen has a right to question the court. Mr. Onokpasa is an example of why Nigeria is not making progress. They carry shoulder too much. The nation is not your village matter where you insult people any how and ask them "who are you?" Such question shows lack of regards for the citizens of a nation served by the Supreme Court in a democratic society. Supreme Court justices are public servants and no one is free from critic by the citizens they serve.

I saw this comment online, and I completely agree 👉 "I understand the anger! Majority of Nigerians and Africans know that Peter Obi won majority of the votes in the last elections. I am obidient and I was rooting so much for Peter Obi, however, I now believe that it is divine justice, or Karma for Tinubu to be president at this time. This is because, nobody but Tinubu deserves to deal with the mess that Buhari made. Especially now that they have shamelessly admitted Buhari left a dead economy. For 8 years, Tinubu kept quiet about Buhari's wickedness, all because of his selfish ambition. So God Almighty in His infinite wisdom has granted his wishes, but he is about to experience what that means! I do not wish him bad, but I do not think the next four years will exactly be a walk in the park for him and his cohorts. As for Peter Obi, hold your head high, sir. You are loved and respected more than you know. Continue to stay close to your God, and keep doing the right thing. God has great plans for you as always. As for fellow obidients, please wipe your tears. God is involved, and with time we will understand it more clearly. Please don't lose hope. And please do not abandon your beloved Peter Obi. Continue to keep him in your prayers. And may it be well with us all. Amen."

He won majority of the legal votes to have been declared president. The core north is not the only place in Nigeria. Besides when you look at the number of voters published by INEC for different states, many of the Northern states were not as high as their actual population. Also very significant is the fact that Peter Obi won majority of the total votes cast in army barracks all across the country.

Your very identity, nationality and perceived integrity as a Nigerian citizen depends on it. I mean the value of your currency, the admissibility of your passport at any border. By having a senile drug lord as your president and a judiciary that can be bought your value is zero in the league of countries as a citizen of such a mess of a country.
Now I understand that due to years of corruption the majority of Nigerians have been robbed of their right to basic education and as a result you lack the ability to know what to expect from a good leader or a functioning judicial system but the fact of the matter is that in "this particular case" justice has been derailed.

I was very disappointed with Arise News tv, with what happened between Mr Rufai and Mr Jesutega
The Morning Show program is a favourite and I watched the episode live
I was so disgusted with what I witnessed that I changed the channel
You ask, where were Dr Abati, Ayo and most importantly the Producer
They all left Rufai alone, whereas, he was fighting for the organization
When you caution a guest, but he adamantly refused to take to advice; the best thing would have been to either take a break or cut him off
They should not have allowed the situation to degenerate to a ‘spat’ between Rufai and Mr Jesutega
I hope what I once witnessed between Rufai and Dr Abati was not at play
On that day, Dr Abati interrupted Rufai; which Rufai objected to vigorously
Since then, Dr Abati has been aloof to whatever Rufai is contributing
      That shouldn’t be so
They ought to work as a team
I rate Arise News and particularly The Morning Show very highly, they should not make me have a rethink

Arise TV Presenters should be fair to all parties. In this case, Rufai was not fair on Mr. Jesutega Onokpasa.
    Why?
Mr. Ezike in one breadth, when Reuben Abati asked him if he was impugning the integrity of the Supreme Court as presently constituted, he said "Yes, I am. I know the risk I'm taking".
At the tail end of the program, however, after he had been reprimanded for insulting the Supreme Court Justices by Mr. Jesutega Onokpasa, he said "I want to add that I never impugn the integrity of the Supreme Court. I simply said there is no hope the case going there. That is all I really said".
What a big fat lie by Mr. Ezike.
That says so much about the integrity of Mr. Ezike, whom Rufai tried fruitlessly to defend.
Why did Reuben Abati, Ayo or Rufai himself not stop Mr. Ezike from insulting the Supreme Court Justices?
This is why some viewers usually accuse Arise TV of being biased. They should always be seen to be fair to everyone they are interviewing, whether they like him or not.
Rufai should also know that you don't have to be aggressive towards someone you are interviewing before you can get an answer from that person or before you will be seen as a good journalist.
If you are in doubt as to Mr. Ezike's double speak, watch the video again from around 47:00' to the end and you will see what I'm talking about.

You don’t rubbish the Supreme Court of your land because your camp failed to make their points.
You don’t rubbish the Judges of the Supreme Court because you are afraid that your camp will fail in the Highest Court of the Land.
Of course, if you’re that great a lawyer you will be made one of the Judges of the Supreme Court.
    Rufai Osseni! Sigh.

I am shocked that people feel it's okay to talk down at the SC but not at the guest. Arise cut the full argument. Lol

I am so so disappointed in this boy called Rufai, why didn't you berate the man who said in front of all of you that there's no hope in the supreme Court delivering a fair judgement?
This is because to all of you at Arise TV, any judgement not in favour of your preferred candidate cannot be a fair one. Unbelievably shameful.

Why did Onokpasa keep on calling Peter Obi?

  • @Samozed

Thank you Mr onokpasa for speaking so boldly and also to Mr abati who decided to keep quiet because you know the truth. Again this boy Rufai your partisanship is taking a toll on your general sense of speaking and gradually eroding your sense of professionalism. Just an advice though.

This man Ezike should be disciplined by The Bar and the Bench please! What a statement. Are you saying if someone win only Abuja and loose in all other states he must be President?
