GxK is a ride. It has warts (and wart dogs), but honestly I would say it was an improvement over GvK in some ways. For all that was going on, it felt more streamlined and focused. And there was so much monster action. A crazy amount. The Marmit figure is very nice, too. KKvG was also my first kaiju movie, and Kinggoji will always be one of my favorite designs.
Glad to hear you liked GxK. I thought it was the weakest MV movie. But still enjoyable. Just a middle of the road kaiju flick. It's hard to be mad at it. Also, man the Marmit '62 looks so good. I don't have any '62 Godzilla in my admittedly small collection. Might be a good one to add.
