I love watching Sarah in the kitchen - she is such a natural and shares what she is 'cooking up' in such a enjoyable, fun way. To save time I will share a thought in how I process apples and pears for jams or sauces - and it depends on how 'pretty' you want your finished product to look I guess - but once the fruit is 'tidied' up, one can leave the skin on. Lots of goodness in the skins - and does not take away from the great flavor. Janice & Shawn: you both deserve to be lauded in how you are raising your family - they all are so capable, responsible, respectful, and a real joy to watch. I pray Shawn is feeling better now and his health issues with the stones has been resolved. Blessings... ❤🙏

Sara, you should either write your own cookbook, host a cooking show or be a teacher like your Daddy. Teach them that cooking can be fun and not a chore. Sarah is so funny. I need to get my dad to show me how to make pear preserves. The syrup is so good on biscuits. I love the pops of the lids as the seals set. My grandmother would put her jars on the hearth of her fireplace and they would sit there and pop. I loved it.

I don't know what kind of pectin you guys use but if you use the pomonas universal pectin low sugar or no sugar then you can use way less sugar
Ball also has a low sugar/no sugar pectin as well
