And Megaman was there starting from '87 onward, giving us fantastic music, memorable stages, and fun themed bosses that we still remember to this day. And though Classic Mega Man would continue on, on SNES, Playstation, and eventually modern systems, never again would it have the same glory days it once did in the late 80's and early 90's. Back then, whenever someone talked about shooting in video games, Mega Man was one of the first things that came to mind.
regardless of the version, this song is without question the best final boss of the classic megaman games. Though i would love to hear a chorus version of this. It is short and simple and tells one simple message. I wont live to see another sunrise.... but i am taking you to hell with me wily....this i promise!

In my opinion, Mega Man 6 has one of the very best soundtracks in the entire classic Mega Man series, and this Wily boss theme is certainly my favorite of them all.

The -absolutely only- negative aspect of this theme is the quick loop. I've never wanted a track to be longer so bad like with this awesome final boss scenery.
This gives off the "end of the series" feel to me... when you consider Wily has three forms (one of which is seen in the planned final X game as an attack by the Shadow Devil) and Megaman can combine with rush, It could have been planned to be.
God I love mega man 6. It's an underaded classic with one of the best soundtracks I can think of, great bosses, levels , themes, and is just a great game for the nes and I highly say if you haven't played this game DO IT
What if they use this on the last Mega Man game from the original series. Either as a final battle against Dr. Wily, or even better with his creation Zero where Mega Man is destroyed but still manages to stop Zero and then Wily is stopped for good which is where X comes in that's created by Dr. Light.

Man this brings back memory's back when games had plot and a good story and wasn't filled with so much drama. now and days it gets hard to figure out if your playing a game or watching a soap opera sometimes. over 20+ years games have really changed but sadly they wont really be able to hold up to the games of the 80s/90s.

To be honest- this is better than the complete works version. the way the original tune blends in to the new instruments and it creates a trancelike but intense tune. In other words, great job!
This would be even more epic if Wily never revealed himself in MM4 and 5 and Megaman thought he was still dead after MM3. So now Megaman is pissed off at Wily for tricking him for thinking Cossack and Protoman where evil. THEN this theme starts playing. It’s time for the “final” battle!

My favorite NES boss theme =) thanks for uploading. IMO the most appropriately matched boss themes as well. Made you feel as if you are actually fighting the final boss. Although this final boss is probably one of the easiest in the series, it was still a great music choice =) well done Capcom!

I'd say that Megaman 10's Wily capsule theme works also but in a different way. This song captures a very grandious finale feel to it, but 10's both Wily machine & capsule battle theme bring with them a feeling that there is alot at stake in the fight. Just the way they are so tense & adrenaline pumping.
In my opinion If they were ever to create a megaman game that ended the original series for good, this and only this song should be played in the final battle.Only it should be chorus.

This is true, this theme has a special place, it acts as sort of a goodbye/swan song/one last dance between Mega and Wily to the series even though it wasn't. I'm partial to some other ones which is in no way an indictment on this tho. MM4 final boss theme - maybe only 11 secs til looping but wow, feels like SO much is at stake. MM10 wily machine - not the final boss, the pirate wily fight. You can feel the fury and hatred in it. MM7 final boss - just hearing it makes me snarl. So frustrating!
@TheSketchK Thats an interesting question. I don't think so. I don't think the thumbs up/down exemplifies yes/no, but rather a user's opinion for the positive or negative. So if someone says something you agree with, or you thought was a good point, or that you thought of too Etc. that would be a thumbs up. Whereas if someone said something you disagree with, or thought was a stupid, unrelated, ignorant, or moot point, It would be a thumbs down. That's what I think anyways.
While I think this one's good, I feel you did more work on Mega Man 10 Wily Capsule theme. And this is a good battle theme, but it's a bit more static in comparison to others, namely my favorite, Megaman 1 Wily Battle. :) I think that you could have done a bit more among the lines of reworking the theme into an epic little piece of it's own. As it stands, it's alright. But not great. I do respect your work and I'm subbed for a reason. I'm just giving my opinion.

I heard that the Classic was supposed to end after MegaMan 6, where the original version of this theme originated.
It was. MM6 was the last at the time (Megaman arrests Wily at the end, rather than him escaping) so it was really meant to be the "final battle"

Somehow, this track really sells me on Mega Man and Wily being archenemies. This song makes me feel like they're going to clash over and over forever.
And then Wily manages to seal Mega Man in a time loop, somehow, if you consider the GB games canon.

And this is a good battle theme, but it's a bit more static in comparison to others, namely my favorite, Megaman 1 Wily Battle. :) I think that you could have done a bit more among the lines of reworking the theme into an epic little piece of it's own. As it stands, it's alright. But not great. I do respect your work and I'm subbed for a reason. I'm just giving my opinion.
