    The one you thought was written by boring people (Romans 12:16) is just written differently. Romans 12:16 - "Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited."
    I actually really love this verse. 😀

    Got them all right yay. I do have to say though after teaching Sunday School for more than 2 decades and leading bible studies that it makes a difference in learning it yourself rather than "just" passing along information to others. I didn't realize how many of them I actually knew the exact verse right away and glad for that. I've had multiple brain injuries and battle with memory but somehow this is one area that is actually one that is my strongest area of memory, thank God so incredibly thankful for that.

    What translation are they using? They should use one like the ESV, NASB or even the NKJV, instead. They are a LOT more accurate to the original manuscripts. The one Way Nation is using seems to be a paraphrase version, which isn't very accurate to what the original texts says or means.
    Really like Micah, keep having him!

    • @kaelaleedaley
      @kaelaleedaley 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Now we clearly see why having so many modern, non-literal translations keeps those seeking Him at arms' length and away from the true meaning of God's precious Word. Stick to the KJV/NKJV people, it's THE best researched/translated Bible the world has ever known x

    • @marmeemarch7080
      @marmeemarch7080 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      People of a certain age have a lot of the Bible in the 1983 NIV, mixed with KJV for the more widely memorized things. I hear something in a slightly different translation and it skips in my mind like a scratched vinyl record.

    • @RAndrewNeal
      @RAndrewNeal 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In my opinion, the CJB is a good version to use as well. In the technical sense, it's a paraphrase version. But in actuality, it is translated for the English-speaking reader to understand what the Greek and Hebrew authors wrote. (The original languages work so much differently than English that strictly literal translations often don't make sense in English). Translated by a Hebrew-speaking Messianic Jew, its purpose is to restore the Jewishness of the Bible. It offers many insights on the context of the time, mainly through study notes and footnotes. An example being that it explains that the good eye and evil eye are Jewish idioms for generosity and stinginess, respectively.
      Just my recommendation; not arguing with you at all. Those are sound translations.

    • @RAndrewNeal
      @RAndrewNeal 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kaelaleedaley Pretty sure King James himself had a few verses censored because he didn't want the people to get the idea that there is a king above him. Maybe that's been remedied since then though.

    One thing that might be helpful is if you read your Bible consistently. That would help to be more familiar and amazing scripture verses like Romans 8:28 and John 15:13. Also, stay away from all the different confusing translations. Stick to one translation and make sure it is somewhat older. Many of the newer translations are inconsistent with true biblical teaching and too trendy to be sacred in the vernacular. I found this very choppy and hard to follow.
