Prophet Shuaib is one of the four Arabian Prophets mentioned in the Qur’an. Archaeologists believe that this site, also known as Madain Shuaib, dates back to the 2nd millennium BC. The dwelling here has a striking contrast to the other Nabataean cities of Petra and Madain Saleh. This town, hand-carved out of the pink sandstone mountains manages to display its former glory and subsequent desolation both at the same time Madyan is also known for being the place where the Prophet Moses sought refuge after fleeing from Egypt. There he met the Prophet Shu'ayb who recognized in Moses a pure soul and gave him one of his daughters. Moses then lived for ten years with his wife and father-in-law in Madyan before returning to Egypt . Magha’er Shuaib is a historical site that lies 225 km northwest of Tabuk city in Saudi Arabia. This is part of Al-Badʿ town in Tabuk Region, Saudi Arabia. It is west of Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, between Tabuk and the Red Sea Coast. Located at 28° 41' N and 35° 18' E, it lies on the border of the Hejaz, and was in antiquity in Southern Midian. মাদিয়ান সেই জায়গা হিসেবেও পরিচিত যেখানে হযরত মুসা মিশর থেকে পালিয়ে আসার পর আশ্রয় চেয়েছিলেন। সেখানে তিনি হযরত শুয়েবের সাথে সাক্ষাত করেন যিনি মূসার মধ্যে পবিত্র আত্মাকে স্বীকৃতি দিয়েছিলেন এবং তাকে তার একটি কন্যা দান করেছিলেন। তারপর মিশরে ফিরে আসার আগে মুসা তার স্ত্রী এবং শ্বশুরের সাথে মাদিয়ানে দশ বছর বসবাস করেন।
